INFOGRAPHIC: Mexican Cartels (Sinaloa vs Los Zetas)

This is an infographic chart that was published by Hispanically Speaking News. Is it based on confirmed facts, rumor mill or someone who reads CNN for Mexican cartel news? I found some misinformation, but I will let the very knowledgeable and very capable BB community point it out. This is what they said about the chart:

"Currently, the Sinaloa and Los Zetas Cartels are in a war, forcing other cartels to take sides and new alliances are forming.  Unfortunately, 60,000 people have died since President Calderón (PAN) declared war on drug traffickers in 2006. Hispanically Speaking News does a side-by-side comparison of Mexico’s most ruthless cartels, Sinaloa and Los Zetas."

  7. Zetas no longer allies with Tijuana..cds pays permission to Tijuana to move product through baja califas. CT ? Heard their at war with Beltran-Leyvas

  8. You cited 95% of the stats are wrong . . .

Since you are so credible, please cite your source, please?

Statfor Global Intelligence reported on Friday that (4) members from the CDS were arrested in Madrid. SGI is a bit more credible as they previously released their 2011 Cartel Annual Report.

    1. Stratfor is a joke, everyone knows that. People on here have sources ON THE GROUND that are involved probably or kmow whats going on. Stratfor are prob a bunch of tunnel vision college brats that have never seen mexico and get scamed by people who "claim" they are in the know...the 2011 Cartel Report was a joke and another example of the US govt throwing out money and getting donkey shit in return.

  10. sweeeet!!
Military sources in Mexico and the United States confirmed to Proceso the existence of a plan to catch "or kill" El Chapo Guzman, prepared by the Pentagon and the Mexican government and proposed to, and accepted in principle by President Calderon.

The execution of the operation would be in charge of the main U.S. special forces, Navy SEALs

The operation would be a copy of the Pentagon ran secret in Pakistan to "capture or kill" bin Laden, who was finally killed in his hideout in May 2011. Special Forces helicopters reached the Muslim leader's bunker on the outskirts of Islamabad, near the Pakistani military academy.

  13. @7:56pm
No, ct and cds are not allied. CDS gave their cell CDJNG the green light to take out CT's.

    @9:14pm
How can you explain the all the CDS operatives in TJ who are not being killed in TJ? Also explain why CDS is paying Sanchez taxes for using his plaza to smuggle narcotics into the USA?

  16. Totally incorrect and full of misinformation, where are the sources?

  17. It'd be a good idea if Hispanically Speaking News opened an atlas of Mexico before posting ludicrous stuff like "Sinaloa Cartel was originally part of Guadalajara Cartel."
Sinaloa is a state. Sinaloa Cartel is, of course, originated in Sinaloa.

  20. Tijuana isn`t exactly an ally with Los Zetas, TJ is outside this war between Zetas and Chapos. Remember that when Sillas went down in TJ los chapos gave 20 tons of weed to el Ingeniero to keep things calm, they are paying "piso" in TJ, as much as the fanboys of Sinaloa want to deny this, that is the situation here in TJ. Now, speaking of Los Zetas, you also need to remember the fact that when the Zetas leader in Oaxaca was captured he mentioned he received orders to facilitate the transit of Tijuana`s people in his area, no questions asked. TJ is not as down as they like to think, having CDS paying plaza, CJNG paying plaza, CT and LFM paying plaza and Zetas/Beltranes with no agression pacts must mean something.

  22. They should put snitching on the snitchloa cartel. That would be really funny. On the Zetaz side taking out its former employer. That is true about that they control more territory. They both suck but anyone from the streets knows the unwritten rules and being a little hoe snitch is one of them. Atte. Face

  24. CDS did come out of the old Guadalajara cartel... Chapo and Mayo, along with the Beltran Leyvas, worked for Gallardo until he decided to split up his empire. Juarez and AF brothers also made deals with Gallardo, don't think their relationship was as close but they were all from Sinaloa (except maybe ACF, not sure on that one)... Believe CDG was also involved in this but Abrego had already had them operating at such a high level independently that they were able to stand on their own as an autonomous organization, but CDS, CAF, and Juarez all were part of the Guadalajara cartel until the mid 80's... Also Sonora had their own cartel, but not exactly sure what happened there. Any info out there? Interesting that the only group that did not physically own a border crossing in the beginning ended up becoming (arguably) the most powerful of the modern cartels (CDS). Guess despite whatever opinion one might hold of Chapo (or Mayo for that matter) they appear to be the smartest guys in the room... Lazcano seems to be on that level as well. With different circumstances these guys would have been CEO of ExxonMobil of the Directoe of Central Intelligence... Fascinating comments on this blog, keep up the great info, both btb and the readers comments... Would love to hear more about cartel ties outside of the America's... Specifically Europe, Africa, Asia? Organized crime groups they deal with internationally other than the Italians? If I were a betting man, which I am, I would say the big boys are in Espana. Like Mexico, a transient nation on the border of continents. North Africans are the Mexicans of Spain, Chapo and Lazcano would fit right in in a club in Majorca... Any educated thoughts? Thanks again everybody

    1. Your info is incorrect first off CDG was independent from the beginning, CAF and CDS bosses are from sinaloa as well but they were from the Juarez cartel working for caro quintero back in the day after a few members betrayed caro quintero they formed cds, caf and whatever but there is no guadalajara cartel the only way that Guadalajara plays a role in this because its the main distributor of drugs thats all!

  25. That was my point, if CAF has it as bad as they say it does then why pay? They don`t want to pay Juarez, they sure don`t want to pay in Tamaulipas to either zetas or CDG, then why not get rid of Tj`s people if they are so f-up? Remember that things aren`t always as they seem, I`m by no means saying thay Tijuana is a major player right now, but something doesnt quite fit in the picture that many are trying to sell us. Just think about this, Chapo is fighting vs Zetas, vs Beltranes, vs Juarez, vs CT, vs EVERYONE, why on earth will he PAY taxes to Tijuana with the supposed fire power of CDS?

  26. The CAF is not as weak as people think . They still own half of tj and are regenerating at a very fast rate . They are smarter in a way by not making a lot of noise like CDS and zetas. Let's not forget the loudest noise is silence . Any one living in tj will tell you dat the CAF is no where close to being dismantled. Since the governments don't see the CAF as a threat they get to conduct their business without any law enforcement trouble.
