Federal Police: "Zetas and CDG are the Two Cartels Engaging in Kidnapping"

Borderland Beat

Tamaulipas is the hot spot  and number "1" for kidnappings....

(Proceso)
Los Zetas and the Gulf cartels are the two groups of organized crime that the Federal Police (PF) has identified as the major criminal organizations engaged in kidnappings in the country of Mexico.

Benito Armando Espinosa, head of the Research Division PF reported that the highest number of kidnappings that is registered in the country is in the state of Tamaulipas. The commissioner explained that they have been identified as both cartels operate in the north and south, through kidnappings against businessmen, who were charged'' dues'' or even intimidated by gun attacks with their trucks. ''

The operation of kidnapping in the north, almost always we see that the state of Tamaulipas where there is the most kidnappings . Cells of the Gulf cartel and the cells of Los Zetas both operate in Tamaulipas, These criminal groups are operating in the same way in the south, in the area of Veracruz, Tabasco, and Chiapas but less there.

We know that the Gulf and Los Zetas are in these areas and also operating in the same way, taking entrepreneurs, depriving them of their freedom and forcing them to ask their employers for money,'' said the official.

La Familia Michoacana and The Knights Templar are also identified as criminal groups that engage in kidnappings in the central part of Mexico, who choose their victims mostly from the vehicles they drive, the clothes they wear or the places they frequent. ''

In the central there are people who are now living well with a good car. We see that also in the Zacatecas area where also Los Zetas as well as La Familia Michoacana are operating kidnapping cells, said Armando Espinosa.

Although the commissioner said that currently there are no groups who mutilate their victims, but they have detected and mention that there are different types of kidnapping involving women, than men and even children. In addition to these groups are people posing as criminal organizations, which hold the kidnapping without a well-structured, planned organization of cells , and believe it or not there are people who fake their own kidnapping.

  4. I been saying this from the beginning CDG is just as bad or worst than the Zetas.. Chapo should just break the truse and killed zetas and cdg off.. this 2 cartels are more terrorist than actual drug dealers.. there worst than the taliban... Like shit I know all cartels are scum, but what's the point of CDG butchering there rivals like they do?? Cause now there just hooked on killing and dismembering there so call rivals.. I bet 50% of those people are innocent... Diablo couldn't pick a real zeta so he takes out his frustrations on a random person... And makes them say that there SD.

  7. No shit, Sherlock. And the sky is blue, and the night is dark, and water will make you wet. And all of the cartels kidnap and extort people. You can just see their reluctancy to finally make an official stand on who is guilty doing all this. Despite all the payoffs, eventually they have to look like they are doing something. And this years big move forward? Acknowledging what everyone on earth has known since day one. With all the corruption, I doubt you see much effort past being honest who the bad guys are.

  8. I saw Havana's original post in the forum. She was saying anyone could have put this information together, and I thought why subject us then to an idiotic post, Havana, Huh, Huh? Then I thought duh well I can't read spanish and 6 months ago this would have been new to me. Probably now it is new to many others. I don't get this information where I live. Never ever. So, "no shit Sherlock" to you 3:21 pm. Without this Borderland Blog things might not be so obvious to us. Thank you Chivis, you change lives, and thanks to sincere and funny Havana-I got your back.

  9. No hope when there is no law. The next president is so shamefully corrupt, it is a waste of 6 years. Greed is making the country a laughed at mess. How humiliating. It is so sad.

  10. Is there an uneasy truce between the Metros and Rojos in the CDG? Or has El Coss consolidated his power? Whatever happened to el R-1? I am wondering if some in the CDG actually had second thoughts about splitting from the Zetas? You have to admit that the original group of Zetas kicked the CDS out of Nuevo Laredo in a pretty convincing fashion. I think if the CDG/Zetas had never split, you would have two major cartels left in Mexico with a couple smaller ones. Oh well, money and egos will destroy people.

    1. No, they don't. There will be no make up. The two groups will kill each other, sadly because these monsters are human. All so daddy's girl can score herself a dime bag.

    1. If the people of Mexico get armed, the cartels will know and IMO, se va ser un desmadre! Hell would get hotter throughout Mexico, imagine how the cartels will tolerate against with children and women??? Now given that scenario, will the U.S. go in there to protect the people?

They say R1 is in the state of michoacan with his brother in law..As for the metros and rojo they have been at war since the death of m3!!...As for costilla rumor has it that hes out of the picture not trying to draw attention but i personally think he has one more push in him!! The split of the zetas was devastating for both sides yes there were some regrets but they kept on killing each other as for the original members they were men of honer no scumbags!!

  16. Someone reading this knows this answer. No one here cares to listen to my questions. I'm 15 years old and I don't understand why there isn't a serious study of kidnapping done in Mexico. I've searched many times. I mean really serious. Or even a Proceso really in depth investigation. Many mayors say it is among the most serious threats to a great many municipalities. Is it because of tourism? But tourists don't traditionally get kidnapped. So why not a big investigation with genuine statistics? Why not try to do better for the Mexican citizens? Because they don't really care? Why is it? I'm so glad I live in a country where no one cares about the people. In the words of Americans, "That totally sucks!"

  17. Chapos gente nueba extort too. But no one talks about it because the media is all paid just like the elections. He gets the good image because he pays to pu licize that image the same way pena nieto paid to have presidency and show polls were he was way high

"will the U.S. go in there to protect the people"
I would like to know the percentage of Mexican people who would actually want some help from the US?This is a serious question, because from what i can see in these and various other sites, the Mexican comments you see all the time are almost always antagonistic and actually violently anti US?It is sad when you see some of the comments.
Where does this sentiment come from? Everyone, and everything needs help sometimes, but it seems as if Mexicans actively hate us which i cannot fathom. It is a genuine question. But i guess Mexicans would not ask,nor tolerate any kind of help from the US ?I really hope i am wrong, but alas,i dont think i am.

    1. Why mexicans dont ask for help from usa? Because you mudafuckers stole our land, cali, arizona, new mex, texas and on top disguised a war against us..plus us mexicans have pride and we dont ask for help, we rather fight and struggle instead of "crying" about a situation....then on top usa deports our people who go ova there to work. You americans are racists towards us, dont like us, and on top you guys love to cry about jobs being taken by us for less wages, when its not our fault that many americans are lazy and we are harder laborers, workers etc so YOUR companies hire us instead and you get pissed off.

    2. You haven't heard? America is responsible for not only Mexico's woes but we have screwed the entire world into absolute oblivion. It's actually at the top of our President's agenda to apologize for our many atrocities. Nevermind China or Russia or any of the other countries throwing the world into a tailspin...after all, they are just following our depraved example. Mexico would be a grin laden eutopia if it weren't for our evil white agenda in buying their drugs and keeping their criminals in the black. How dare we try to help! We are the problem...blah blah blah. Its so maddening that we allow ourselves to be pacified and allow the people of Mexico to be beaten down by our twisted political vicera on both sides of the border. I want to know when it will get bad enough for us all to put aside our gripes and get back to doing what is right. The right thing to do would be for Mexico to admit they could use a hand and accept a reasonable measure of assistance and America to put aside the fear mongering and guilt, and at least help on a basic peace keeping/humanitarian level.

  19. 3:10 you r probably right. I'm feeling like there is no hope for our country. Drug war is one thing. All this kidnapping and extorsion is another. The US could do something to help, but we are to proud to think of a way for them to help and keep their hands off our land. We can be a little overly paranoid still. They can't manage themselfs much less us too!

  23. yes, Mexico don't take it personally-our government doesn't represent us common folk Americans - any more than your government represents you and your needs.

I won't address our propensity for screwing the world or I'd be here all day but I will say I'm so ashamed of what we did in our imperial past to Mexico and hope we have done better slowly but surely since then. How could it get worse-NAFTA? But the American government makes the rules and pretends it is what we the American people want and often the decisions make us cringe in embarrassment because it is very far from what we desire.

I doubt you could ever judge Americans individuals who just were born here. Some of us of with more means do leave in case that is your next question.

Not all Americans are bad and not all Mexicans are bad. We will never make anything better for our countries hating our neighbors and never forgetting bygones. So let's try to do better because we could help each other if we worked at it. We can be bigger than those who have done us harm.

  24. USA,please stay out of this mess. You will be damned if you do,damned if you dont.Dont get involved if we dont have to.Read the comments to see the proof of that.Hysterical fools whining about things that happened 150 years ago.The US should stay well out of Mexico. No matter how much they asked for help.Mexicans are their own worst enemies, they hate everyone, even themselves,so how would they treat us?DONT GET INVOLVED.EVERYTHING THAT WENT WRONG,WOULD BE PLANNED BY THE US,CONSPIRACY NUTS WOULD COME OUT THE WOODWORK CRYING HYSTERICALLY,NO,STAY OUT OF MEXICO !

    ReplyDelete
  25. 12:58 You're right. US won't be getting involved in Mexico unless something really terrible happens. Mexico really doesn't want help and would never ask seriously. US does aid with intelligence and monetarily. even if US meant well, whatever they did would be interpreted in the wrong way and end up not helping at all.

  28. The stats are meaningless! There are thousands upon thousands of kidnappings that occur that are never reported due to the unbelievable amounts of police corruption. Why risk harm by reporting to the police when they are likely in the payroll of the kidnappers?

Here in Monterrey, kidnappings of family members of the staff at my plant occur almost daily. And almost never get reported.

And July 30, 2012 2:23 PM, if you are 15 years old, people will believe anything......jajajaja
