Two were killed and one was injured after an armed attack against a tire repair shop (vulcanizadora) in El Tulillo de Abajo, a neighborhood of San José Iturbide, Guanajuato, reported local journalist Miguel Ángel Mejía H. Tire repair shops in Guanajuato are attacked frequently, as they are sometimes used as fronts for criminal activity.

One man was killed by gunfire inside a vulcanizadora in Celaya, Guanajuato on the afternoon of Saturday September 10, according to local news site Periódico Correo.
The events occurred at a vulcanizadora, a tire repair shop on Avenida El Sauz in the Imperial neighborhood.

Neighbors called police after hearing gunshots, but when security forces and paramedics arrived, the victim, an unidentified man was dead.
Dozens of similar attacks have occurred at vulcanizadoras in Guanajuato over the last three years. They are related to the fight between the CJNG and CSRL, local security expert David Saucedo told Borderland Beat.
