There is a strong outcry over the case of Jessica and Néstor, who were allegedly murdered and attacked by members of the National Guard in El Aguajito, in the municipality of Sinaloa. Jessica, her family says, was pregnant. It's a regrettable situation. The story with Ernesto Torres.

Onward with the report. Very good morning. How are you? José. Good morning. Good morning. Auditor of Luz Noticias. As you already mentioned, Jessica, this 25-year-old woman was a psychologist by profession and practiced her profession, according to her family. She was 4 months pregnant and was murdered along with her 48-year-old partner, Néstor, a merchant dedicated to selling roasted chickens.

Both lost their lives after being shot by members of the National Guard, allegedly in a confusion. This was in the municipality of Sinaloa. The unfortunate violent incident occurred in the afternoon. On Sunday, June 1st, on a dirt road near the town of El Aguajito, practically on the outskirts of the community.

This, as I already mentioned, belongs to the municipality of Sinaloa. According to information gathered, the couple was originally from the community of El Alamito. At the time of the incident, they were heading to visit family in El Aguajito. While traveling on a dirt road, a country road, they were intercepted by members of a National Guard convoy who allegedly opened fire on the couple.

Presumably due to a misunderstanding, at least this is the only explanation the relatives have found so far, since, according to them, neither of them was involved in illegal activities. The alleged misunderstanding that led to the death of this couple has caused, as you already mentioned, indignation and helplessness, especially among the relatives and the neighbors of these communities, who claim that Jessica and Nestor were civilians with no connection to illicit activities. Jessica was in a situation, because her pregnancy just happened over the weekend. Even though she was excited about her pregnancy, it's said that just the day before, on Saturday, she had shared with her family that she was pregnant, and yet, they would be parents, him and his parents, him and his partner. And unfortunately, this situation happened. Residents of Aguaquito claim that there are witnesses who saw the attack, because apparently the truck was driving when members of the National Guard had pulled them out of the vehicle and had both couples kneeling. Residents even tried to approach to intervene and tell the members of the National Guard that this couple was from another nearby community and that they had family in this same community, that they were acquaintances, and that they were good people.

However, apparently, the same elements began to ask them to retreat. They say, according to one of the witnesses who mentioned that he saw that he could see that they had them kneeling and that even the couple was scared. He narrated precisely that at that moment Nestor asked him to go to the community to warn everyone so that they would come precisely to try to intervene since apparently they were threatening them. Let's listen to a little of what one of the witnesses said. José, they were chasing me, they were chasing me. So I came back to the ranch again to warn that they had him there in Cados with his hands on his head. When I returned back I heard some people throwing Gunshots and they chased me back. When I was about to arrive, they shot at me and they chased me back. Well, I had to go back, and I went back with an aunt and they told him the same thing. "Kick him back, knock him back, knock him stop." I saw that he was alive, dude. I saw that he was alive and he had him kneeling next to the truck, next to the passenger seat. He had him kneeling and he was yelling at me to tell him. Well, I saw him kneeling. And well, a pickup truck was seized from the scene, which was left with multiple bullet wounds. No authority, not even the National Guard, at the moment, no police force has released any information about it. It's worth mentioning that, well, at least yesterday, this happened on Sunday. However, yesterday, June 2nd, that is, in the morning, in the report issued by the State Attorney General's Office on the criminal acts. Registered the day before or in the last 24 hours, there was no information about what they have secured at this point. Nor was the murder or death of these two people, that is, Jessica and Nestor, eh, disclosed, presumably as victims of the crime of intentional homicide, but neither was it mentioned in any way. And I would like to tell you that later this happened, well, on Sunday, no? However, the family, well, yesterday, eh, around noon was when they were expressing their discontent, their helplessness, and above all, their demand for justice. And in this regard, José, during the afternoon, already after noon in the early afternoon, dozens of people came to demonstrate at the National Guard barracks in the city of Wasabe to demand justice for Jessica's death. There were dozens of family members, friends, and neighbors from two communities in particular. They were asking for an explanation of what had happened. However, they were ignored. They carried signs, mainly those they brought or looked at, demanding an explanation for the death of these people who, as I mentioned, were residents of the community of Aguajito, belonging to the municipality of Sinaloa. There were approximately 35 people, all of them residents not only of Aguajito but also of Alamito, two small communities in the mountains of Sinaloa. They carried the messages, which could be seen reading, "We want no more answers, no more injustice, Mr. Governor." They even asked that the governor intervene, so that he could clarify this situation. They mentioned that they only pursue their professions and wanted to be heard. These protesters accused the National Guard members, supposedly assigned to this Wasabe base, of having fired directly at civilians, apparently due to confusion while they were traveling on this road on their way to Aguajito to visit their family. As I mentioned earlier, they claim that they were not involved in any illegal activity. Jessica was this 25-year-old woman, a psychologist by profession, while Nestor, a 48-year-old man, was a businessman who owned a chicken shop and that right there in the chicken shop, he also sold roast chickens. And well, this practically happened last Sunday afternoon, more than 48 hours ago, and at the moment, no authority had They have spoken out about it yesterday, while they were demonstrating outside the National Guard base, they were asking for help. The members even asked them to withdraw, not to resort to violence. However, they never did, it was never violent, they were the only ones. They shouted slogans, they shouted "situations" but they didn't attack the National Guard members either, and there were moments of tension in which the members practically threatened to arrest the protesters if they didn't leave the area. According to what they told us, they remained stationed outside the National Guard base for about three hours, almost four hours, waiting to be seen, for some authority, a high command, to receive them, to explain what happened or why they shot, and above all because there are witnesses, as we already heard, who witnessed them being below. That is to say, it's not a situation that was circulating and that they could have been confused. That's what they mention. However, it's not clear because no authority has given more details about it, José. I would also like to tell you that unofficially it has been announced that Apparently, they even had a gun. However, as I mentioned, there hasn't been an authority to speak out regarding this situation. José, very well. Well, we'll be on the lookout for any statements from the federal authorities. It's a very similar case to what happened with two girls in Badirahuato on Mexico 24 who were accompanied by their family in a van where soldiers, apparently mistaken for criminals, opened fire and, unfortunately, two girls were killed, injuring four more members of their family. That was also a very high-profile case, that of Lady and Alexa Alexia, and, unfortunately, it's apparently happening again now in the municipality of Sinaloa in Aguajito, and they are demanding justice. Let's see what the authorities say because the case of the Birahuato girls was handed over to the federal government, and we haven't heard anything more. Ernesto: Indeed, and that's what

They fear that a similar situation might happen, and that was what they were claiming and discussing yesterday, or what they were shouting in the slogans, "No more injustices, no more attacks on innocent civilians." This was what they shouted among the slogans, precisely to create an illusion or allude to forgiveness for the cases that have already been reported, where, apparently, innocent people have lost their lives. They point out that this couple, Jessica and Nestor, were not involved in anything illegal, that they were merchants in the community, and this is precisely what has caused outrage, and they are demanding an explanation from the authorities. Yesterday there were 35 people, however, they said or threatened to continue demanding, especially once they can carry out the funeral for this couple, who must be mentioned. Yesterday, some relatives were present, but most were focused on the topic of this couple's funeral. Very well,
thank you for this report. Good morning, José.

VIDEO TRANSLATION

In the north of the state, there was also a strong confrontation in the mountains of Choix, even with some complaints from residents who reported looting and abuses there in the mountainous region of northern Ernesto.

That's Samuel. I'll also tell you, further north, that another strong confrontation was reported yesterday between a group of armed civilians and members of the Navy. This was in the community of Ycorato, belonging to the upper part of the municipality of Chox, where for almost more than a week now, some clashes have been reported.

Apparently, the conflict had subsided, calm had returned. However, once again yesterday, residents reported abuses, even by federal forces, and the excessive use of force. Residents reported that yesterday, members of the Navy arrived by land to the aforementioned community.

Apparently, they left their trucks far from this community and arrived by land, practically without anyone noticing, where a criminal group that had broken into this community and other nearby communities had been stationed for days. However, this group remained in that location. It was established that upon arriving at the scene, the armed civilians ran toward a hill where they barricaded themselves and from there exchanged gunfire with members of the Navy for practically between 40 minutes and an hour, according to the residents themselves. It was not immediately known whether there were any injuries or deaths. However, no reports were made, at least not until the final minutes of yesterday. As a result, the officers carried out a series of searches and court orders. According to reports, the residents themselves raided several homes, causing destruction and abuse of authority.

However, the same places, the same houses, had allegedly also been looted by this criminal group, since it is reported that it was there. Faced with this wave of violence that is ravaging this mountainous area of Choix, residents of the mountains remain on alert and in uncertainty, as they have been victims, as I already mentioned, of looting and burning of houses and vehicles.

This in the communities of the municipalities of Bacayopa and Ycorato, as well as the communities of Casas Viejas, which belong to the municipality of Jox, and the part of the summit and the tcates, which already belong to the municipality of Morelos, in the state of Chihuahua, but which are adjacent to the same area. They even shared yesterday a video and photographs where the destruction and damage resulting from these acts of vandalism can be observed, both by the criminal group that broke in a few days ago and, allegedly, also by the Members of the Navy Secretariat, who, according to what was mentioned, broke into homes regardless of the time and whether there were children, women, or elderly people inside. Residents indicated that despite the arrival of a Mexican army platoon a few days ago and maintaining calm in the area, they remained there because they had already had peace, so to speak, in the Bacayopa area. But yesterday, that peace was broken precisely with this new confrontation that occurred in the Ycuarato area, that is, further down.

About 40 minutes approximately on this country road that connects both states, a situation they said makes us feel unprotected. And well, I'd also like to tell you that last night, when just after the shooting had happened, between this armed group and Navy personnel, the alleged looting and burning of houses was also reported in the community of the San Pantaleón plateau and the last ford. They were reporting the situation near the borders of the state of Chihuahua, practically, but at another end of the Chox area, right, right where Bacayopi and Corato are located, where these events had been reported. Well, they were reporting to C4 Norte that a convoy of armed civilians had broken into those communities and that, in addition, between two and three drones were flying over the houses. This kept them on alert, especially for fear that it would be searched. A confrontation, and they were asking for help. They were asking for the presence of federal forces precisely to prevent this armed group from breaking into their homes because, well, they said, they feared what happened in other communities. And they were reporting precisely that before this happened, they said communications might have been cut off, as happened in other communities. After the armed group broke in, they were left practically cut off about this incident. These reports were being received by the C4, and even personally, we received reports after we learned that it was at the San Pantaleón table. They also informed us that this heavily armed group of civilians was at the last ford, another community that is very close to that site. And well, regarding this, the police authorities in Choice confirmed and informed us that the National Guard and personnel from the Secretariat The National Defense authorities were already aware of this insecurity situation that was occurring in that area. At least last night around 9:00 p.m., between 9 and 10:00 p.m. However, at the moment it is unknown if they went to that area because there was no longer any communication. It is unknown if they went. It is also unknown what happened in these communities, which are practically far from everything, just far from the authorities because it is even far from the municipal seat of Choix. And well, that is where this situation occurred, which we hope has not escalated, but the residents remained on alert due to this invasion, so to speak, by a criminal group that claimed to have arrived in the community, and what scared them most was that several drones were flying over the roofs of their houses and said, "There could be some confrontation that has not happened yet." How did this situation end?

This is the information at the moment, Sam.
Well, the report is very complete. This also happened yesterday in the mountainous region of Choix. It would be practically the second confrontation of serious proportions that has occurred in a matter of days, despite the fact that the authorities and a military detachment are already there, stationed in the Choik area in the mountainous areas.

Eh, even so, the violence broke out yesterday.
I thank you for this information, Ernesto, and we will continue to be very attentive. Good morning.
Awaiting, Samuel. Good morning.

This Is How The Attack In Los Mochis Barbershop That Left One Dead And One Wounded Went Down | VIDEO. A Child Is Unharmed Despite Caught In Middle Of Attack

The video from the barbershop shows how a boy about 10 years old was having his hair cut by the victim and the father runs out and forgets about it.

Ernesto Torres

 05/12/24

There were two subjects who perpetrated the attack on the barbershop yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, December 4, in the city of Los Mochis, where in just 12 seconds after arriving at the door they committed the aggression, leaving one man dead and another with injuries.

In a video circulating through different social networks and quickly viralized on different platforms, recorded from the security camera of the same barbershop, shows the moment in which the subjects arrived and shot at point blank range in a direct attack against the victim.

Moments of panic:
The video shows that at the time of the aggression there were two barbers working
At the entrance of the door was a young man cutting the hair of a boy of approximately 10 years old.
And at the next station towards the back of the barbershop was the other worker cutting the hair of the mortal victim.

Also next to them is a chair where there are two men sitting waiting, one of them apparently the customer next to the door and the second is a man who appears to be the father of the young customer.

A black sweatshirt with letters on the front, he arrives at the door and only takes four steps, then unloads the gun against one of the customers, practically a meter away. According to what can be seen in the video, he fired at least 14 bullets.

At that moment, the second man, dressed in black and wearing a motorcycle helmet, stands at the door and, from that distance, shoots the victim, who falls from the chair where he was having his hair cut with the first shots.

While the shooting was taking place, the first to run out of the shop was the barber who was cutting the boy's hair; then the boy's father came out and, finally, the other customer, who was wearing a green t-shirt.

The attack continues until the man who was cutting his hair is riddled with bullets.

Seconds later, the father returns and, realizing that the boy was inside the barbershop, sees that one of the hitmen was still inside finishing off the victim, so he leaves.

Four seconds later, the second barber comes out, tripping over the chair that had fallen with the victim and that had two bullet wounds.

Four seconds later, the boy's father came in and led him by the hand with the cape he was wearing while he cut his hair.

As was revealed yesterday after the murder, it was a direct attack against a man identified as Juan Omar B., 47 years old, domiciled in the Ampliación Miravalle neighborhood, in Cajeme (Sonora), although resident in Los Mochis.

Regarding what was revealed that it could be a man allegedly linked to a criminal organization with a presence in the state of Sonora, and who was arrested in 2015 in Mexico City, no one has yet confirmed it.

Julio Veredín Sena Velázquez, seventh district judge for criminal amparo proceedings, annulled the amparo lawsuit and denied him the protection of federal justice with which the drug lord had sought to stop his extradition to the neighboring country for an indefinite period of time.

On July 27, 2023, the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) granted the US government the extradition of 'El Viceroy', who is wanted by the Federal District Court of the Western District of Texas for money laundering and drug trafficking.

That same year, but in September, the same judge Sena Velazquez suspended the indefinite extradition of the brother of Amado Carrillo Fuentes, alias “El Señor de los Cielos.

In 2022, the Viceroy received an additional 20-year prison sentence, according to the Attorney General's Office (FGR), for organized crime to commit crimes against health.
