Omar García Harfuch, Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, reported that the clandestine monitoring center seized on January 21 in the Las Quintas neighborhood in Culiacán belonged to the Los Chapitos faction.

During the morning press conference on Tuesday, the federal official said that the building, which had a video surveillance system similar to the C4i, had been operating for three months.



“There were cameras installed, it is not the first one that has been dismantled, there are several houses that have been found, where around, imagine that it is a drug selling point or a safe house, like the others that have been dismantled, they have simple but effective cameras that observe the surroundings to see what authorities are there, this house had been operating for approximately three months, it has already been dismantled,” he said.

Monitors connected to cameras installed at strategic points in the city were found in the building.

Culiacán, Sinaloa - This afternoon the property where four young men, alleged members of a criminal cell of the Sinaloa Cartel, were arrested was searched following a federal intelligence operation in the Las Quintas sector of Culiacán.

The actions were carried out minutes before noon on Estado de Puebla street by elements of the Mexican Army and federal investigation agents, where at least two luxury vans with an economic value of 2 million pesos were observed being taken from the interior of an ostentatious white house with a brown door, which had stickers with the legend “insured” on doors and windows, in addition to a document from the FGR stating the search warrant.

On the day of the arrest, more vehicles and heavy weapons were also seized, which were announced by the Federal Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, where in the information provided by the federal authority, it was indicated that the four alleged criminals belonged to the faction of a high-ranking organized crime figure identified as Jorge Humberto 'N' alias “El 27” or “La Perris”.

The detainees were identified as Gabriel Alberto 'N', 29 years old; Luis Ezequiel 'N', 28 years old; Juan Carlos 'N', 24 years old; and José David 'N', 20 years old.

It is worth mentioning that during the operation, an investigative officer from the SSPC was injured and was taken to a hospital where he was given the necessary medical attention and is out of danger.

Luz Noticias identified the woman as Rosa Isabel, who was thirty-seven years old and was kidnapped on December 20. The family in recent days pressured via social media to get the woman released but her faith was sealed the moment her captives got a hold of her unfortunately.

The fight in southern Sinaloa heats up as La Mayiza or MF Group makes an offensive attack on the southern plazas that are controlled by La Chapiza or Los Chapos. Moreover, to name a few some of the municipalities and cities that have seen a spike in violence in southern Sinaloa are Concordia, Villa Union, Elota, La Cruz, San Ignacio, and Mazatlan. 

On the morning of Thursday, December 19, 2024, it was reported that 4 bodies were found in Agua De Caliente, Concordia, Sinaloa, the 4 bodies were reportedly found with a narco-banner. In the afternoon, pictures were published of the 4 male victims. One was found lying on the asphalt and the three others were hung from what appears a metal house. Sadly, the 4 victims were later reported to be innocent bricklayers and pig farmers. This information will be mentioned in a separate post. 

Lastly, the La Chapiza or Los Chapos regional leader in southern Sinaloa is Oscar Noe Medina Gonzalez, "El Panu" who according to the U.S. Department Of State, El Panu "is the principal deputy for Ivan Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, a high-level leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, and the day-to-day commander of Guzman Salzar’s and his brothers’ – the Chapitos’ – security apparatus.  Medina Gonzalez oversees each of the Chapitos’ regional commanders, who are responsible for security in their designated areas of Mexico, and the Chapitos’ gunmen — the sicarios — who are dispatched where needed to protect the Chapitos’ fentanyl trafficking operations, assassinate rival cartel members, demolish unsupportive businesses, capture contested territory, intimidate civilians, and attack law enforcement, in furtherance of the Cartel’s fentanyl trafficking business".

Five properties, vehicles, fentanyl, weapons and fentanyl seized in Concordia, Culiacan and Elota: Sinaloa

During operations carried out on Wednesday in Culiacán, Elota and Concordia, members of the Army, Semar, FGR and National Guard seized properties, vehicles, ammunition, magazines, drugs and tire irons.

In Concordia, the federal forces secured five properties, in which they located 200 fentanyl pills, a bag of marijuana, five vehicles, 1,210 cartridges, a hand grenade, 500 tire irons and 7,500 liters of fuel.

During intelligence work in Culiacán, the Sedena located two vehicles, one of them with factory armor plating, three long arms, a machine gun, 23 magazines, 1,913 cartridges and tire-plug stars.

In two actions in the municipality of Elota, the National Guard found a vehicle with a theft report, four long arms, a short weapon, magazines, cartridges and a ballistic vest.

La Mayiza Or MF Group criminal organization has made several incursions into the Navolato, Sinaloa areas. This plaza is controlled by Los Chimales criminal cell an armed wing of the La Chapiza or Los Chapos criminal organization. 

The MF Group has made clear from the beginning of the war on September 9, 2024,  that they are making an offensive to La Chapiza territories. With this in mind, the probability of MF members suffering casualties or being captured by enemies (La Chapiza) is a high probability.  

The following interrogation video shows six captured La Mayiza members three are alive, and three are dead. The camera recording captures the last moments of the captives before being finished off.

Two White Tigers Rescued In Culiacan After Military Operation In Barrancos Sector: Sinaloa

They are a male and a female feline, approximately 13 and 5 years old, respectively.

Two white Bengal tigers were rescued after a military operation carried out in the Barrancos sector in Culiacán.

According to Ernesto Zazueta Zazueta, president of the Ostok Sanctuary, IAP, the tigers are a male and a female of approximately 13 and 5 years of age.


The cats were taken into the custody of the Ostok Sanctuary, where they were mobilized for medical attention and will receive necessary care while their legal status is being determined.

According to Zazueta Zazueta, Santuario Ostok has rescued 11 big cats in the midst of the wave of violence in Sinaloa.

“We are talking about two white tigers, a male of approximately 12 or 13 years old and a female of about 5 years old. During the operation, our veterinary team performed chemical containment to ensure the safe handling of the animals,” he said.

“They were transferred to Ostok to ensure their health and while there is the legal process, the animals do not suffer the consequences of what is happening, of the seizure and everything that is happening here in Culiacán. What we are doing is moving them, giving them adequate care while their fate is being decided”.

A video of the dismemberment of Rubanel Loera Felix was published on December 2, 2024, and the following information was posted alongside the video by Culiacanazo.news on X account.

Violent Week Continues As MF Group Offensive Attack Pressures La Chapiza: La Chapiza Counter Attacks In Culiacan: Sinaloa. RECAP Of Violent Thursday

Handmade explosive device left in a sushi restaurant in Tres Ríos, Culiacán.

The perpetrators also opened fire against the facade of the establishment.


Armed civilians left a suspected explosive device outside a Sushi restaurant at the Tres Rios branch in Culiacan, on Thursday morning, November 28th.

The subjects also opened fire at the building, leaving one of the walls damaged with multiple bullet impacts.

The events occurred around 06:00 hours when citizens reported to 911 that they had heard gunshots in the Tres Rios and Isla Musala sector of the Sinaloa capital.

Firefighters from Culiacan arrived at the scene, who were working to extinguish the fire; however, when they heard gunshots, they left the area immediately.


Subsequently, security forces from the three levels of government came to secure the area and firefighters were able to return to finish their work and control the fire.

Simultaneously, there was an attack on the Ranch Roll Tres Ríos branch, where they opened fire on the façade and left a suspected homemade explosive device, which failed to explode when it was extinguished with a fire extinguisher.




Four dead and 4 wounded in shooting attack at a “jugada” in Culiacán

The attack took place at a beer stand used as a clandestine mini-casino.


Four men were killed and four more were wounded during a shooting attack at a beer and “jugada” stand located in the railroad neighborhood south of Culiacán. 

The incident took place minutes before 1:00 a.m. this Thursday morning at a convenience store located on Pablo Macías Valenzuela Street, between Macario Gaxiola and Benjamín Hill Avenues.


Reports indicate that those present were chatting and playing at the gambling machines when a group of armed men arrived and shot at them with a high-powered weapon. 

After the aggression, the criminals fled without being located. 



The “play” has video surveillance cameras whose images will be secured by investigation personnel to locate the criminals.

This is the second attack in less than 12 hours in the city that has left five dead and four wounded. 

The first one took place on Wednesday night in a “jugada” located in the El Ranchito neighborhood in the south of Culiacán, where a man was shot and killed while he was playing in the gambling machines.

The clinic in question is a building located on Enrique Sanchez Alonso Boulevard and Rolando Arjona Street, which has a Specialty Hospital sign on its facade.


The events occurred around 6:00 a.m., when the gunmen arrived at the place in a pickup truck and got out to fire their weapons at the building.




The walls of the clinic were damaged due to the bullet impacts.

Multiple percussion casings from long arms were found at the site, with which the attack against the building was carried out.
