Manuel Torres Felix AKA 'el M1", 'el Ondeado' was a cell leader of Cártel de Sinaloa . Manuel was brother to Javier Torres Felix (el JT), and a close collaborator to Ismael "el mayo" Zambada y de Joaquin Guzman "el chapo".

The Ministery of National Defense (Sedena) confirmed the death of Manuel Torres Felix, nicknamed 'el Ondeado" or "el M-1" considered one of the main operators of the Cartel del Pacifico and deputy to "el Mayo Zambada.
In a statement, the agency reported that military personnel that carried out work to locate this guy was attacked Thursday with firearms in the municipality Cosala, Sinaloa.
According to research, in the operation they managed to capture Francisco Javier Acosta Franco aka "el Picho," Mauricio Mesa Argulo and Guadalupe Franco Azueta Angulo, Felix Torres presumed bodyguards.
A day after the search, further work in the vicinity of the town of Oso Viejo, receivership of Quilá, municipality Culiacán, M-1 died after assaulting military personnel with gun shots, while trying to flee.
"El Ondeado" was part of the Pacific cartel since 1990 and after the capture of his brother Javier Torres Felix "JT" , in January 2004, El Mayo Zambada appointed him his deputy.
The Department of Defense (Sedena) said that it is presumed that from 2008, he took an active part in the violent actions that this criminal organization carried out against rival criminal organizations.
M-1 along with Ovidio Guzman Lopez, son of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman Loera, allegedly coordinated the receipt and handling of drugs by sea in Chiapas and Oaxaca, from South America.

The Attorney General's Office (PGR) offered a reward of three million pesos for information that would lead to the capture of Jose Manuel Torres Felix, since it had an arrest warrant on charges of organized crime against health.
The body of the deceased, the three detainees as well as weapons, drugs, cash and vehicles were secured they were available to the appropriate authorities.

Elements of the army killed Manuel Torres Felix, "el M1", brother of Javier Torres Felix, "el JT", both related to the narco trafficking activities of the Sinaloa Cartel. Manuel Torres Felix was killed in an early morning confrontation between soldiers and suspected cartel triggermen in the vicinity of the community of Oso Viejo, in Quilá, Culiacan. Manuel Torres Felix's sister, Maria Luisa, identified the body of her brother at the forensic facilities, and the State's Attorney confirmed he was killed by Army soldiers in Oso Viejo.

According to the first reports by the authorities, the incident took place at 2:00 am on Saturday morning when soldiers clashed with a Sinaloa Cartel cell which was under the command of Manuel Torres. Army elements secured the crime scene but did not allow access to the media, while the body was transferred under heavy security to the facilities of the Medical Examiner of Culiacán.

PGJE confirms that the Army Killed Manuel Torres in a confrontation
In a clash early today between elements of the Mexican army and cartel gunman, a known drug trafficker Manuel Torrres, AKA as "el Ondeado" was slain. Marco Antonio Higuera Gomez, States Attorney confirmed to the media this morning that the death of "el Ondeado", was based on information from the Mexican army,. "Sources are not official or expert, but it has been confirmed to us that it is this person", said Higuera, "I am basing this on what we have been told by the army itself, we will collaborate with the PGR for identification." Manuel Torres Félix is the brother of Javier Torres Félix,From the fallen subject they assured $9,980 dollars and S23,500 pesos, in addition to lots of white powder, assumed to be cocaine. Two 38 super caliber pistols and 7 .22 caliber cartridges were also secured.
A request from the army was received to submit a body to the public prosecutor in Oso Viejo, trustee of Quila, to identify which was subsequently transferred to the facilities of the Semefo. Manuel Torres's family have attended the Semefo to verify whether it is or if it is not this person. Manuel Torres Felix had been included in recent months on the list of most wanted by the U.S. Justice and was considered to be the same by Federal forces of Mexico. Since the beginning of the war, Torres has been considered one of Ismael Zambada's most bloodthirsty and feared operators as well as he became one of Cartel de Sinaloa's most valuable operators.

The musical group Movimiento Aterado dedicated their narcocorrido, Sanguinarios de M1 to Torres Felix for leaving a trail of mutilated bodies in the trunks of rivals' cars:
"With an AK-47 and a bazooka behind my head

I'm crazy and I like to kill my enemies
We're best at kidnapping
We are always in a posse with bullet-proof vest
Ready to execute"
This is considered a significant hit to CDS., and a big morale booster for the Mexican Army.
