Heavy clashes with armored vehicles were reported on the night of April 28, 2025, in Potrerillos Del Norote, Elota, Sinaloa, between La Mayiza/MF against the La Chapiza/Los Chapitos. Both criminal groups have continued to clash for almost eight months. In a previous post, La Mayiza announced their arrival in Potrerillos Del Norote by hanging a La Chapiza member with a rope in the municipal head. 

In the subsequent videos, a ferocious firefight can be heard between criminal groups and a hitman driving in an armored truck records himself attacking a rival's pickup truck. Unsure if the individual recording is an MF or La Chapiza member, although sources claim it is an MF member.

An undated picture of Manuel Noriega "El Meño" or "El 4x1" was leaked on social media, El Meño is a powerful lieutenant of the Mayo Zambada organization led by Ismael Zambada Sicairos, "Mayito Flaco". 

El Meño, or El 4x1, was believed to be the head of security for Ismael Zambada Garcia, "Mayo Zambada." His base of operations is Higueras de Abuya, located south of Culiacan, Sinaloa. El Meño also holds influence in Panaltita, Pueblos Unidos, Jacola, Chiqueritos, and Quila. El 4x1 is believed to be heading the conflict against the La Chapiza in Elota, La Cruz, San Ignacio, Alta Rosa, and Potrerillos del Norote. The plazas mentioned have seen heavy fighting between El 4x1 forces against the La Chapiza. 

El Meño according to sources was behind the death (approved by Mayo Zambada and Chapo Guzman) of Manuel Alejandro Aponte Gomez, "El Bravo" former head of security for Joaquin Guzman Loera and plaza boss of Mazatlan. El Bravo was suspected of turning in Joaquin Guzman Loera to Navy authorities in 2014.

On the night of March 2, 2025, the La Mayiza or MF (Mayito Flaco) criminal cell announced their arrival in Potrerillos Del Norote, Elota, Sinaloa. La Mayiza arrived in an unknown number of armored trucks armed to the teeth and vandalized several homes that allegedly were affiliated with the La Chapiza Cartel. Furthermore, at least one La Chapiza member was captured, dismembered, and hung by a rope in the municipal head of Potrerillos Del Norote, Elota, Sinaloa. 

La Mayiza, like La Chapiza, are both ruthless criminal groups. There is no good side or bad side; both organizations are evil.

Elota, Sinaloa.- Within the framework of the coordinated actions of the Security Cabinet, various security forces carried out high-impact operations in several municipalities of Sinaloa this weekend, achieving important seizures of firearms, drugs, armored vehicles and war materials, in an effort to dismantle criminal groups and reduce violence in the region.

In Elota, elements of the Mexican Army managed to seize 50 kilos of methamphetamine, with an approximate value of 14 million pesos, in addition to a long weapon and cartridges, all this in a security operation that highlights the continued presence of organized crime in the area.

In Mazatlán, in the context of Operation Sable, a joint operation between the FGR, the Semar, and the Mexican Army, allowed the search of a property in the El Castillo neighborhood, which operated as a clandestine vehicle armoring workshop.

Nine vehicles were seized at this location, three of them armored, as well as firearms, doses of drugs and material for armoring vehicles.

841 cartridges, 120 doses of cocaine, 37 doses of marijuana, and several vehicles used in illegal activities were also seized.

In addition, during another operation in Mazatlán, two kidnapped people were released after the arrest of an individual linked to criminal activities.

In this search, slot machines used in illegal operations were also seized.

In Rosario, a joint operation between the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Semar, the FGR and the state Public Security Secretariat resulted in the arrest of a subject with an impressive arsenal: 10 long weapons, three short weapons, 25 improvised explosive devices, a grenade launcher attachment, cartridges of different calibers, more than three kilos of marijuana and various material for the manufacture of explosives.

An armored vehicle was also seized. These types of seizures reflect the strength of the operations in the region to dismantle criminal structures.

In Concordia, the Mexican Army managed to seize magazines, cartridges and a vehicle, key elements in the logistics and mobilization of criminal groups in the area.

These seizures are part of a comprehensive security strategy implemented by the federal government, which seeks to dismantle arms and drug trafficking networks and the use of armored vehicles by organized crime groups.

The authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintain a presence in the region to guarantee the safety of citizens and dismantle criminal organizations that operate in Sinaloa and other states.

Violent clashes continue to erupt in Elota, Sinaloa, as La Mayiza continues to wage war against La Chapiza Cartel. Moreover, in Elota, La Cruz, and San Ignacio, Sinaloa, have seen violent clashes since the start of the bloody civil war between former allies. Controlling the plazas mentioned would be a stepping stone to controlling Mazatlan, an undoubtedly profitable plaza for La Chapiza.

Following a gun battle in the Elota region, authorities found burned vehicles and pickup trucks with bullet wounds.

The grabbing

The units were on the Mexico 15 highway to the south and in a town of Espinal in the municipality of señora.

The events occurred early Saturday morning when it was reported that there was a confrontation with burned cars in El Espinal, San José Conitaca and Vida Campesina in the municipality of Elota. 

Upon arrival of the authorities, they observed some burned units and vehicles with bullet impacts.

In addition, percussion casings were found scattered in the area. 

Investigations

National Guard, military and State troops arrived at the site to protect the sectors.

It was explained that the Prosecutor's Office would go to the area of the facts to carry out the legal investigations.

In addition, the units located in the area will be secured.

At the moment it is not known if there are any injured or dead people.
