'La Mayiza' Alleges Government Corruption Ring Through Flyers in Culiacán, Sinaloa

  "Enojon" and "Pernicious Propaganda" for Borderland Beat 

On December 23rd of 2024, flyers would warn Omar Hamid García Harfuch, the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection of Mexico, of an alleged corruption ring within the State Government of Sinaloa. The flyers were thrown out of a plane that flew over various points of Culiacán, Sinaloa. 

Watermarked with the logo of Ismael Zambada Sicairos 'El Mayito Flaco,' leader of the 'La Mayiza' faction of the Sinaloa Cartel (CDS), the message identified Government officials, and their family members that were allegedly involved in the corruption ring. The flyers urged Secretary Harfuch to launch an operation over the claims. The criminal organization would threaten to go after those they deem to be 'guilty' such as: 

- Enrique Díaz Vega, Secretary of Administration and Finances. 

- José Paz López Elenes, Mayor of Badiraguato. 

- Enrique Inzunza Cázarez, a member of the Senate of the Republic of Mexico. 

- Jose Rocha Ruiz, the youngest Son of Governor Rocha. 

- Alejandra Sofía Valadés Pelayo, the Wife of Ruiz. 

- Rubén Rocha Moya, the Governor of Sinaloa. 

- Eneyda Rocha Ruiz, the Daughter of Governor Moya, and the Director of the System for Integral Family Development of the State of Sinaloa. 

- Rubén Rocha Ruiz, the oldest Son of Governor Moya.

The Attorney General of Chihuahua informed that motive of the massacre in the Club Gallistico Santa Maria that left six dead and fourteen wounded, was a dispute between drug dealers of the Juarez and Sinaloa Cartels.

The Attorney Generals office informed that the members of the group known as La Linea were after Hector Murillo Tavares, El Cochiloco, and Josue Otero, two of the principal distributors of drugs in the State Capital and who are pertinent to the criminal group Gente Nueva of the Sinaloa Cartel.

Meanwhile, the investigation of the attack advances, and it is known that Murillo and Otera were sought by the authorities, and that the authorities considered them as the principal drug distributors in the North-west of Chuhuahua and one of the principal objectives of the Attorney General of the State.

Found dead the presumed leader of the Sinaloa Cartel in Chihuahua

The Location of the corpse of Froilan Mata Sarmiento "El Nan"

The presumed leader of the Sinaloa Cartel in the Center South Zone of Chihuahua, Froilan Mata Sarmiento "El Nan", was found dead near a highway breach, that goes to San de Diego de Alcala.

The discovery of the body was made on local media communication this past Saturday 7th of February, but the posting was removed due to threats made by strangers to the poster. At that time the body had not been identified.

According to the portal radiza.com, the body had been transferred to a regional hospital, to establish the cause of death through autopsy.

The central prosecutors office confirmed the discovery of the body but did not know the identity of the victim.

Froilan Mata, 35 years of age, had been reported missing since 4th of February. His body was found on the night of 6th, with puncture wounds the apparent cause of death.

M-12, Brother of "El Mayito" Arrested in a Safehouse in Juarez

Jose Fidel Núñez Meza is identified as the brother of Mario Nuñez Meza,  M-10, "El Mayito" and brother of Amado, 'M-11.'  All are members of the same cartel, but M-10 was arrested a few months ago inside a hotel room, while the second is still at large. 

The authorities indicated during the presentation of the M-12  today that he was in the command structure of the Sinaloa Cartel.

The State Police of Ciudad Juárez report they arrested on Wednesday, José Fidel Núñez Meza, alias 'The M-12," suspected to be part of the Sinaloa Cartel command structure, a alleged lieutenant, of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman' leader of of the Sinaloa Cartel.

Commissioner of the State Police, Raul Avila Ibarra, said the arrest of the criminal was conducted Wednesday afternoon on a property at 7091 Tallo on the corner of Calle Polen in the neighborhood of Los Alcaldes after they received an anonymous tip. The state elements entered the place, allegedly used as a safe house, and arrested the subject, who is considered to be an operator for "El Chapo" Guzman Loera of the Sinaloa Cartel in Ciudad Juarez. A nine-mm caliber weapon was all he had on him.

An article in Milenio online said Jose Fidel Núñez Meza  was the plaza boss in ciudad Juarez and also that the alleged drug dealer was part of a group called "The emes", nicknamed "the M-12", although initially identified him as "the M-11", who is actually Amado Nuñez Meza and is a fugitive. 

Jose Fidel Núñez Meza was arrested in 2011 in Durango by the Mexican Military and was made available to the Social Representation of the Federation on May 13 2011. He was admitted to the Federal Social Rehabilitation Center number 5, in Villa Aldama, Veracruz.

Jose Fidel Núñez Meza, is the brother of Mario Nuñez Meza, alias 'El M-10' or 'El Mayito', an alleged local leader of the cartel Sinaloa and was arrested just over a month ago on the border, in a hotel of the La Avenida Tecnológico.

"El Mayito" is being investigated for the 23 narcofosas in Durango where at least 350 bodies were found.

The brothers Mario, José Fidel, and Amado (the latter a fugitive) are the ringleaders of a cell for the Sinaloa cartel that operates in the northern states of the country and they are accused of killing 300 people.
