Masked gunmen opened fire at a Sunday soccer match in San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato, killing one person and wounding six. At least 16 people have already been murdered this year in shootings at soccer games in the state.
Yesterday afternoon, armed men arrived on a motorcycle and began shooting at spectators watching an amateur soccer game at the Barrio de Guadalupe field in San Francisco del Rincón. The lone fatal victim of the attack, a 25 year old man, died while enroute to the hospital.

According to an anonymous source close to the investigation interviewed by Milenio the victim was a member of a gang called La Renova, and the attackers were members of Los Carranza, a gang that had been targeted by government raids in recent weeks.
Los Carranza are a local gang based in San Francisco del Rincón who are involved in drug sales, extortion, protection rackets, and robberies. Los Carranza is not aligned with any major criminal group, but is fighting for control of San Pancho with the CJNG. La Silla Rota reported that the Mexico City based Union Tepito, also a CJNG rival, is their drug supplier.

Guanajuato authorities demolish a safe house in an abandoned building used by Los Carranza in San Francisco del Rincón in May 2025.
Much less information on La Renova is publicly available. Based on their opposition to the CJNG-opposed Los Carranza, it is possible they are aligned with the CJNG.
Mass shootings at public events and spaces are a hallmark of the CJNG - CSRL war over Guanajuato, a conflict that has made the state Mexico's most murderous for almost a decade. At least 16 have been killed in attacks at soccer fields in 2026, according to Milenio.
I am braindead, and I love reading comments about Connor, Rubio, and that girl that studies in Mexico.

ReplyDeleteThey are not black.
DeleteStay away from soccer fields.
ReplyDeleteEl Marro should have been called El Pendejo llorón. It's been written he was a Zeta before forming CSRDL. Stealing from PEMEX guaranteed his persecution and arrest. He should have bent the knee or retired. Federal detention he shall suffer.
ReplyDeleteAs a sign of respect El Azul had ceded his plazas in GTO to LFM when they were allied as La Nueva Federación. Don't remember if CT took over when they split with LFM. Now another big organization has majority control of the state. The citizens suffer these disputes.
Just a regular game in Mexico.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you lose every war and kill your women: you take yourselves and your sports too seriously.
Fucking idiot savages.
That’s what they get for playing a stupid sport.
ReplyDeleteNobody is innocent. His homies are cheering at his grave waiting to be shot next.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a shame that we have this things happening in Mexico. At least for the amount of incidents. I remember back in the 80s you will read about violent incidents but it was way less than today. Sad.
