CJNG Gunman Arrested with Recruitment Posters In Paraíso, Tabasco

By "El Huaso" for Borderland Beat

A CJNG gunman was arrested by the military after they responded to reports of shots being fired at the Refinería Olmeca in Paraíso, Tabasco. Authorities found several firearms and two recruitment posters.

Local police responded in force to reports of a shootout at the Refinería Olmeca early on Friday morning. Videos show at least 12 police vehicles speeding in a convoy towards the Pemex site.

Upon arrival, they arrested a lone gunman wearing tactical gear and a 'CJNG' on his vest. Police found seven AK-47 style rifles, one AR-15, an AR-180, and two printed recruitment posters, which appear to be printed screenshots of a local news Facebook page.

Starting pay of $4,000 pesos a week

With opportunity to grow and earn more, depending on your aptitude and attitude.

Criminal organizations like the CJNG frequently use deceptive job advertisements to lure new recruits. Postings for positions such as farm workers or security guards are especially common, targeting vulnerable young people from rural and impoverished areas. These individuals are often tricked into joining, then forced to take up arms and become full members of the cartel.

This particular recruitment poster advertises a job with pay more than double the typical weekly earnings in Tabasco state. The suspiciously high salary and vague job details would immediately signal to a reader that the offer comes from an organized crime group rather than a legitimate employer.

  1. The CJNG deceptive job advertisement is the 1# reason I say kill these cartels, leave the kids alone, they have no human morals, and they need to be treated the same.

    2. I agree 100% and I’m Mexican. We can’t have Mexico as a neighbor, the U.S needs to take over Mexico once and for all. It will be the best for both people

  3. That advertising ad should say instead "starting pay 4000 pesos to get sent to the meat grinder and die in your first week on the job". That is what really happens. Tricking young kids to join them is another reason why everyone hates this cartel. If a cartel treats the people with respect they shouldn't have recruitment problems. Scumbag cartel. Nuff Said!!!
