By "El Huaso" for Borderland Beat
A Zacatecas special police unit arrested four Guardia Civil officers from the neighboring San Luis Potosi under suspicion of attempting to hide seven corpses in Villa de Cos, Zacatecas on Sunday night.
The four San Luis Potosi police officers were discovered inside a vehicle with blood stains on a dirt road outside Villa de Cos, a small town near the San Luis Potosi - Zacatecas border on 23 November. They were arrested and are being held as suspects related to the event, according to Rodrigo Reyes Mugüerza, Zacatecas Secretary of Government. Reyes Mugüerza told the press that: “Everything points to them trying to blame Zacatecas for some kind of violence that is not happening here.”
As the corpses were already decomposing at the time of the arrests, it is unlikely they were killed at the scene. The corpses have not yet been identified, and it is unclear who killed them.
The arrest was conducted by the Fuerza de Reacción Inmediata Zacatecas (FRIZ), an elite Zacatecas police unit created two years ago to combat organized crime in the state. They are trained in anti kidnapping, counter terrorism, special operations, and urban warfare.
I wish Mexico will flood the country with cameras on high light post, license/vehicle camera readers, and tap into video doorbells, with a 24 hour drone to follow any camera hits. Its being done in American cities.

Police officers in Mexico are cartel members with a uniform and a badge with a license to murder when the cartel gives the order. They operate in plain view of the public.
