Culiacán, Sin.- Two days after the desecration and theft of two bodies from a chapel belonging to the family of Dámaso López, a video has circulated on social networks showing how the mausoleum is practically on the verge of collapse.

It was this morning, Wednesday, July 31, when a citizen managed to capture on video how the chapel looked completely desolate and destroyed, as if heavy machinery had been used to demolish the structure of the same.

According to investigations, the remains of Dámaso López Núñez's relatives rested in this building, namely Dámaso López García and Adolfo López Núñez, father and brother of 'El Licenciado', respectively.

This chapel had two luxury floors, was built on a clean land and with firm construction material, however, now there is only rubble around it, the railings that were placed on its sides are fallen, the windows and objects that were there when it was recently desecrated are no longer in place.

So far, no crime has been attributed to anyone responsible and no complaint has been filed. The State Attorney General's Office informed in a statement that the collapse and the exhumation of the bodies were already being investigated ex officio, but there is still no updated news on the case.

The event reached the President of the Republic himself, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who indicated that the corresponding investigation was already underway.

Cartel Del Noreste In New Communication Video Claim They Want Peace For Nuevo Laredo And Send Message To AMLO: Tamaulipas

A new communication video released by Cartel Del Noreste or C.D.N. was published Monday, July 29, 2024, in which this criminal organization distanced itself from recent events in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. The OXXO convenience stores announced the closure of all their stores in Nuevo Laredo, and will only be open until the safety of the workers is ensured.

C.D.N. also took the opportunity to claim that Nuevo Laredo is a safe city for politics to be practiced, as no political candidates were assaulted or killed.

Constitutional President of the Republic Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Secretary of National Defense General Luis Cresencio Sandoval González, Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection Rosa Icela Rodríguez.

We are addressing you in the following manner. Especially to President López Obrador to inform you that the Cartel del Noreste denies the acts of violence attributed to us in relation to the closure of the OXXO chain of convenience stores in Nuevo Laredo.

We assure you that we are the most concerned in our city remaining at peace. The CDN does not get involved in politics nor does it interfere with the citizenry. As proof, our plazas don’t register acts of electoral violence, unlike what happened in El Mante, Tamaulipas where Noé Ramos, a candidate for mayor for the PAN political party, was murdered.

Throughout the country during the electoral process, criminal groups were responsible for the murder of candidates. Following the elections, an elected mayor was executed. These crimes occurred in the states of Guerrero, Chiapas, Michoacán, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Veracruz State of Mexico, Oaxaca, Puebla, Colima, Mexico City, Sinaloa, and Tamaulipas.

However, in our plazas, mainly in Nuevo Laredo, there were no acts of violence. Proof of this is that in Nuevo Laredo the Morena political party swept the presidential, senatorial, federal and local congressional races. The only election that was close was the mayoral election.

This reflects the dissatisfaction of some citizens with the current president. However, this difference is minimal and does not affect us. We are still moving forward with our work and you with yours. There is a great deal of investment in factories and other businesses and we have no interest in gaslighting or upsetting investors.

We want the town to grow, jobs to be created, and for the citizens of Nuevo Laredo to improve their daily lives. Mr. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, we respectfully ask you to investigate the interests of those who have wrongly informed you about our alleged annoyance towards the population and businessmen.

What interests does this person have in provoking conflicts and increasing the presence of the military and federal authorities? As we have told you, Nuevo Laredo has been one of the calmest municipalities during your six-year term.

Investigate the interests of this person who may be trying to hinder the growth of our city or introduce another antagonistic group to the town. Which would regenerate an escalation of violence that has no relationship with politics. This in itself is a completely different matter.

Sincerely, Your trusted servants, Cartel del Noreste "

Breaking News: Chapel Of The "Los Dámaso" Family In Eldorado, Culiacán Is Desecrated And Two Bodies Stolen: Sinaloa

 "Char" for Borderland Beat

This was reposted and translated from LOS NOTICIERISTAS

WRITTEN BY: ERNESTO MARTINEZ

JULY 29, 2024

Culiacán Sin.- The bodies of two people, apparently the brother and father of Dámaso López Núñez, captured in Mexico City in 2016 and later extradited to the United States, where he obtained his freedom, were illegally exhumed from the family chapel located between the Quilá and El Dorado syndicates on Sunday, July 28, in the southern sector of the municipality of Culiacán.

It was during Sunday evening when through the different digital platforms and social networks, videos began to circulate where reports were given about the desecration of the chapel located in the cemetery, located between the communities of Melon and Portacelli and where it was reported that the bodies resting there had been illegally stolen.

During the morning of Monday, July 29, the crime was confirmed upon finding the two-story luxury chapel built on a plot of land of approximately 20 meters in front by 40 meters deep, and which, at first glance, had severe damage to the interior doors and windows, as well as the desecration of two drawers where an equal number of bodies were resting in their respective coffins.

According to the data, to commit these acts they used all-terrain vehicles and a backhoe with which they tied steel cables to pull the doors and windows and thus destroy the ironwork and the security systems that were in the site, but it is unknown who or who were responsible for this fact.

At first glance, it could be seen by the signs at the site, that the tomb was visited regularly for religious ceremonies and maintenance of the site with luxury finishes and quarry, and by the traces found at the site, it is presumed that the bodies were taken and dragged to the outside where they were taken to a vehicle to be taken to an unknown destination.

Various news sites based out of Sinaloa have been able to confirm that the two stolen bodies from a grave inside a chapel are Damaso Lopez Garcia and Adolfo Lopez Nuñez, the father and brother of Damaso Lopez Nuñez "El Licenciado". The timing of the chapel and graves being destroyed has steered many to speculate of a connection between the fall of Mayo Zambada and Joaquin Guzman Lopez in El Paso, Texas.

The likely reason why the chapel of the Damaso family was destroyed and two bodies were stolen is because of a recent video made by Ocran Leaks who is believed to be Damaso Lopez Serrano "El Mini Lic".  Ocran Leaks on July 17, 2024, made a special episode dedicated to drug lords who are gay or bisexual. In this episode, Ocran Leaks stated that Raul Carrasco Lechuga "El Chore" was bisexual. Ocran Leaks (El Mini Lic) claimed that El Chore had a relationship with a famous gay person from Sinaloa. This statement allegedly led to extreme anger in those who worked under El Chore. Important to note, that Raul Carrasco Lechuga "El Chore" was killed in a military operation on June 23, 2024, and was a former Los Damaso underling. Ocran Leaks also claimed on this episode that Marcelino Ticante Castro "El Fantasma" former security chief of Joaquin Guzman Loera was bisexual.

Sadly, not even dead bodies are respected in another grisly chapter of the Los Damasos rivalry with Los Chapitos.

The Mysterious Flight of El Mayo & Joaquin, What We Know and Don't Know

"Socalj" for Borderland Beat

With Contributions from "HEARST" "Enojon" & "Some Dude"

Three days after the arrests of "El Mayo" and Joaquin Guzman Lopez, some details remain murky. While the most unanswered question is if Mayo came into the hands of US authorities willingly or if he was setup or kidnapped still remains unclear. Also unclear is the location that the pair of Sinaloa cartel figures took off in the plane from before landing in New Mexico at the airport in Santa Teresa, just outside of El Paso, Texas.

This has further been confused with statements made the following morning by the Mexican Security Minister and President AMLO, which contradicts local news and witness reports. As well as new footage obtained by Borderland Beat of the plane that the pair arrived on.

Culiacán, Sinaloa - A man with “many changing personalities” is how Lucero Guadalupe Sánchez López described Joaquin Guzmán Loera in her new book “La Chapo Diputada” mi historia con el señor de la montaña", finally presented to the public by the author herself on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

It is a 408-page book in which Sánchez López, a former state deputy in Sinaloa, recounts her origins, her early life, her youth and how she met the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, who is currently serving a life sentence in the maximum security prison ADX Florence, Colorado.

Some of the words given by the native of the municipality of Cosalá, Sinaloa, to the media who attended the conference and who also interviewed her off-camera, revealed that when she first met Guzmán Loera, she did not know he was a drug trafficker but a cattle rancher who was very well regarded by all the people.

“He had many changing personalities. They said he was a cattle rancher, I said that everyone saw him as a good man, but as time went by I discovered that he was a drug trafficker,” she said in an interview with Telemundo.

One of the questions the journalist asked Lucero was if she considers that Joaquin Guzman is still in charge of the Sinaloa cartel, to which she answered:

“I don't think so, I feel that he is already far away from that and maybe there he can find a little bit of peace, because he is a great believer of god”.

After serving her sentence in 2020, the former deputy of Sinaloa wrote a book of her biography where she talks about her first love, how she met and began a 'strange' and dangerous relationship with “El Chapo”, confrontations in the mountains and operations. She also narrates her time as a businesswoman, her transition from beauty queen of Cosalá to local congresswoman, the death of her sister Carolina, the capture of Guzmán Loera in the Miramar condominiums in Mazatlán, the days on the run, the last recapture and her visits to Altiplano to see him.

The book went on sale on July 14, 2024, although it is only available in the United States and Mexico. The 405-page book is so far only available on Amazon and is priced at US $34.99, about $630.00 pesos

Cartel Del Noreste-C.D.N. Distanced Themselves From Fentanyl Drug Sells In Video

 "Char" for Borderland Beat

Cartel Del Noreste or C.D.N. criminal organization distanced itself from fentanyl drug trafficking in a video that is about two minutes long. C.D.N. is currently commanded by Juanito Cisneros Treviño "La Sombra", and Carlos Alberto Monsivais Treviño "La Bola Treviño" both cousins. La Bola Treviño and La Sombra are believed to have a close relationship with their uncles Miguel Treviño Morales "40" and Oscar Omar Treviño Morales "42".

Cartel Del Noreste is believed to be more unified with the current leadership than when Juan Gerardo Treviño Chavez "Huevo Treviño" was leading cartel operations.

"Sicario: The Northeast Cartel distances itself from the unfounded accusations spread by some media outlets regarding the seizure of fentanyl pills with the initials CDN and 80 by the Canadian police. It is important to note that the initials mentioned do not correspond to our organization. They are used by the pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma to identify 80-milligram OxyContin pills. Criminal groups in Canada have falsified these brands to market fentanyl pills.

Since 2016, Canadian authorities have frequently confiscated pills laced with fentanyl with the collaboration of the DEA. However, we have recently been singled out without solid grounds simply because of the similarity in the initials used since that same year.

Alejandro Domínguez: Fentanyl pills from the Northeast Cartel, a Mexican cartel originating in Tamaulipas, are being distributed on the streets of Vancouver. The most recent evidence was obtained in March from a citizen who turned in a dark green tablet with the letters CDN Cartel del Noreste on one side and the number 80 on the other.

Sicario: The CDN has no connection to the production, distribution, or transportation of the dangerous and deadly drug fentanyl. Any individual found selling or transporting this substance in our area of operations is severely punished. We urgently call on the media to verify the information with the competent authorities in Canada and the United States before spreading false news that implicates us in cases in which we are not involved. Those responsible for this criminal activity are other criminal groups that the DEA has identified that poison American and Canadian citizens with this type of drugs. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in the correct dissemination of this information.

Sincerely, Cartel del Noreste "

There could be a leadership dispute after 'Mayo's' arrest, military commander says

Following the arrest of Mayo Zambada, there could be a leadership dispute within the Sinaloa cartel between Los Menores, Los Mayos and Los Guanos, according to the commander of the Ninth Military Zone, Porfirio Fuentes Velez.

He mentioned that it is possible that there is a reconfiguration within the cartel.

“Maybe there is an internal dispute among the members of the factions that make up the Sinaloa cartel, who are fighting for control, but I think that right now everything seems to be calm,” he said.

He pointed out that there are three factions of the cartel, one led by the sons of Joaquín el Chapo Guzmán, another by El Mayo Zambada and the third by Aureliano Guzmán Loera, El Guano.

“The fact that he has been arrested does not mean that they are no longer there, he is arrested, but surely his organization remains, someone will take it over, but we don't know who,” he said.

He assured that, although there is no upturn in violence, the Army will remain on alert. “We have a sufficient force so that it can react to any situation or eventuality that overflows security,” he commented.

He detailed that the Sedena will continue to act in coordination with all authorities.

FlashBack Friday: DEA Reveals Photo Of 'Mayito Flaco', Heir Of 'El Mayo' In The Sinaloa Cartel. February 2, 2022.

 "Char" for Borderland Beat

The Drug Control Administration (DEA) added Mayito Flaco on its list of fugitives, and revealed what the supposed heir of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada looks like.

Up until now, no images have emerged of Ismael Zambada Sicairos, who is one of the sons of El Mayo, and goes by the aliases “Mayito Flaco” and “Caballero”. He has remained in the shadow of the Sinaloa Cartel led by his father, Ismael Zambada García.

Although the image is in black and white, the DEA description reads that Mayito Flaco's hair color is brown, as are his eyes. He would currently be around 40 years old, because his year of birth is registered in 1982. And his last known address does not even directly place him in Sinaloa, but says simply he is somewhere in Mexico. The photograph of him shows him as someone cold and serious. The new photo was placed right after the listing of his father.

His scope within the organization led by his father is unknown, but he is the only one outlined to succeed in command of the organization, while he remains a fugitive. However, videos of alleged hitmen under his command have been broadcast on social media networks.

The first direct accusations against Mayito Flaco went public in January 2015. Two years earlier, in 2013, he was indirectly charged in a larger group, along with his brother Ismael Zambada Imperial, alias “Mayito Gordo”. At that time, another 57 alleged criminals were also included, including children of Joaquín Guzmán Loera, alias “El Chapo”, and Dámaso López Núñez, “El Licenciado”.

First page of the 2013 indictment.

The alleged photographs of Mayito Gordo and the DEA photo of Mayito Flaco look quite similar. Although both resemble each other, probably because they are related to each other, they also highlight features that allow them to be distinguished from each other.

Mayito Flaco is still at large, while Mayito Gordo was arrested in Culiacán in 2014. Mayito Gordo submitted a guilty plea in the San Diego Court last year and his sentencing is scheduled for April 2022.

According to reports from the US agency, Mayito Flaco faces charges in the Southern District of California for conspiracy and attempting to traffic narcotics, according to federal violations stipulated in Title 21 and Code § 846. The aforementioned unsealed indictment was filed in September 2013, and named  Iván Archivaldo Guzmán, alias “El Chapito”, as a co-conspirator.

The indictment alleges Mayito Flaco and others coordinated the transportation of several kilograms of methamphetamine from Asia to Mexico. And once the shipment arrived in Mexico, he managed to cross the drugs through border states and cross them into the US.

“[He] further caused drug proceeds to be collected from clients in the United States and laundered and transferred from the United States to Mexico and elsewhere for the benefit of members and associates of the Sinaloa Cartel," the document states.

The Department of Justice has indicated that the case involving these ten men, including Mayito Flaco, has involved the prosecution of over 100 defendants and began with inquiries at the end of 2011, focused on a small cell of drug dealers in National City and Chula Vista.

“It soon became apparent that the drugs were being supplied by the Sinaloa Cartel, and the case morphed into a massive multinational, multi-state investigation that has resulted in dozens of arrests and seizures in San Diego, Los Angeles, Riverside, Los Angeles counties, and more. Bernardino and Imperial to the great cities of San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Detroit; the states of Nevada, Texas, South Carolina, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Kentucky, Georgia.”

The charges cover illicit activities from May 2005 and at least until July 2014. The same occurred in Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, the Philippines, China and Great Britain.

The methamphetamines were stored in safe houses in areas of Tijuana and Mexicali. For the Mexicali shipments, they used cargo planes, private planes, submarines (and other submersible and semi-submersible vessels), container ships, supply vessels, speedboats, fishing boats, buses, railcars, tractor trailers, trucks, automobiles and interstate carriers and private and commercial foreigners.

The investigations ended up seizing a 1982 Cessna Turbo 210 plane, two Lamborghini cars, including one of the Murciélago type; as well as another Mercedes SLR McLaren car and a 2014 Nissan 14 GTR.

Mayo Zambada allegedly had his son Mayito Flaco with Norma Sicairos. He is one of nine other children El Mayo has. The women El Mayo is alleged to have children with are: Norma Sicairos, Rosario Niebla, Margarita Imperial and Leticia Ortiz. Records indicate that the kingpin of the Sinaloa Cartel has at least 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
