Only fuckin reason you upset at him is he was kicking CDS ass left and right in Chihuahua until his arrest.
      Sorry ass Sinaloa nutthugger

    3. @1:29 HE set up his "capture" because cds was on his ass and he felt the heat too close. For sure he cooperated and now he's out after only 6 years of time. 6 years for being a leader of a cartel??

      Delete
    4. 2:20 B.S. it's one thing to cooperate with the US to get a lighter sentence and it's another thing to set yourself up.
If he wanted to run out of gear he would not be back in five years to the same area he was running away from in the first place.

    1. That’s what I’m asking. Unless he got caught with a bird of snow or something real small. If he was convicted for anything big, he snitched

    2. El chuyin was released early and he runs the cartel now. I'm pretty sure el 80 is going to run la Linea once again.

      Delete
    3. But according to this site only CDS snitches lol . In the drug game there is no codes .

    4. Yeah ain’t no way he got free out from a US prison without giving them what they want

      Delete
    5. He did cooperate per the news media. Now, I thought he’d be more worried to go to Mexico than US after talking. That whole don’t snitch stuff is a serious issue only at high level security prisons. Anything less than a USP, and you’ll be fine. Once you get back to the streets, it’s “Well he ain’t tell on me”. So if he made it out with no issues, he’ll be fine. There are maybe two or three places where they kill you still. 🇵🇷 being one of them. And 🇲🇽 does as well but it’s easier to hide there because it’s so big.

  13. Carlos Arturo Quintana – alias “El 80” –, leader of the Juárez Cartel in Namiquipa, Chihuahua, was released by federal authorities in New Mexico for having cooperated with US authorities, according to court documents in the possession of El Diario de El Paso.

After being deported, he is back in the Sierra de Chihuahua, where he would have resumed his drug trafficking activities a month ago, as announced on Wednesday by the State Investigation Agency (AEI) of Chihuahua.

“El 80” was sentenced on March 21 of this year, in the Federal Court of Albuquerque, New Mexico, to 60 years in prison for crossing 100 kilograms or more of marijuana into the United States, despite having a long criminal history. binational.

The day after the conviction, the federal prosecutor for the District of New Mexico, Alexander Uballez, filed a motion before the federal court of his state requesting that his sentence be reduced for having cooperated with the US authorities.

“The accused has assisted the authorities in the investigation of this case by promptly notifying the authorities of his intention to plead guilty and allowing the Government and the Court to allocate resources efficiently,” Uballez said in the document.

The prosecutor's request was approved on April 8 by federal judge James Browning, who determined to reduce the severity of “El 80”'s crime by one category.

The sentence was scheduled to be served in the low-security “La Tuna” prison, located in El Paso County, but included the possibility that the convicted drug trafficker would be deported to Mexico and thus avoid prison and four years of supervision after serve the 60-year sentence.

In the records of La Tuna it does not appear that Carlos Arturo Quintana was in the penitentiary at any time. The court documents, however, emphasize the possibility that “El 80” was deported, for which Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as well as the U.S., were notified. Marshals for his eventual removal from the country.

    1. 60 years would be a 720 month federal prison sentence or was it 60 months which is five years?

      Delete
    2. Thx for the translation, 60 years for mota is crazy.

      Delete
    3. He received 5 years not 60 years. He was just sentenced 6 weeks ago and was just released. According to the USDOJ press release he is 41. Do the math. He didn't get 60 years.

      Delete
    4. 6:58 Yes I know as it's clearly said in the video that he was sentenced to a five year term which is 60 months. Feds uses the months method when imposing sentences. Reading the comments would have one believing otherwise. 60 years reduced to 5? LOL. He's not from CDS.

  14. Legend with fear and admiration

In the dusty streets of Namiquipa, the legends of Carlos Arturo Quintana, the Police Chief who was also the drug trafficking kingpin, were woven with threads of fear and admiration. But in the cold walls of a federal prison, his name would be lost among the whispers of oblivion, a fleeting shadow in the long dance between good and evil.

Quintana, although not one of Mexico's most famous drug traffickers, had woven a criminal network that had spread terror in the northern state of Chihuahua for more than a decade. Known as “El 80”, his name was associated with a long list of crimes that had shaken the region. La Línea, the criminal organization with which he was linked, had formed an alliance with Rafael Caro Quintero, the legendary Boss of bosses, in a desperate attempt to maintain his criminal power.

His actions had been especially egregious, relating to the massacre of the LeBaron family and the murder of journalist Miroslava Breach. In addition, he was accused of carrying out an intimidation campaign against other journalists and the then governor Javier Corral. Despite being identified as “the main generator of violence in Chihuahua” by federal authorities, his arrest had not occurred until May 2018, in the small community of Namiquipa.

After years of waiting and pressure from the US government, Quintana was finally extradited to New Mexico in August 2022. However, the charges against him were limited only to marijuana trafficking, not the numerous crimes he had committed in Mexico.
