Federal operation nets 14 CJNG in Cancun

Lucio R. for Borderland Beat

Attorney General of Quintana Roo , confirmed the arrest of 14 people in three different operations, six of them related to the shooting that Wednesday night was recorded in the Fraccionamiento Paseos del Caribe in the region  514 of Cancun . The state attorney, Carlos Arturo Alvarez Escalera , said  in a  press interview,  that most of those arrested  belong to the Cartel Jalisco New Generation and have only been in the area for about a month, seeking to take over the plaza.  The Attorney General says that the others were members of CDG (Cartel del Golfo).

He said the action began around 9PM, at a residence, at the colonia mentioned above.  There was a shootout when the occupants resisted arrest.  No reports of deaths in the operation that netted 6.

Those taken into custody at the residence were; Alan Geovanni Vázquez Bernal, alias “Gordo” 18, originally from Reynosa Tamaulipas;  Miguel Hidalgo López, alias “Flaco”, 36, from Tuzantla, Michoacán; Eliazar Soberanis Fernández, alias “Eli”, 24, of  San Pedro Atecpan, Guerrero;  Luis Padilla Muñoz, 21,  from Santa María , Tamaulipas; Luciano Chávez García Lucio,  30, of  Petatlán, Gerrero and  José alfredo Chavarría Hernandez, alias “Mickey Mouse”, 20, from Reynosa, Tamaulipas.

The second operation there 5 arrests outside a strip club, in the red light district of Cancun. The five included, Marco Antonio R.G.  alias “Apa” or “Pollo”, from Reynosa Tamaulipas,  who is the leader of CJNG in Cancun.  There were 3 women in the group, two of the women were from Caracas, Venezuela, a third with the alias “La Gorda” is from Matamoros, Tamaulipas.

Police seized weapons, and 480 grams of cocaine.

Information that led authorities to the arrests, resulted from three men who were stopped while riding in a stolen Audi.  The men were identified as; Afid Mendoza Sanchez, 28, of Reynosa; Christian Adam Puerto Sanchez, 26, and Pedro Pablo Castillo 29, the last two, from Merida, Yucatan.

The Audi was stolen during a murder..  The arrested men admitted to killing the man, the reason they gave;  because he had sold him a vehicle that turned out to be in bad condition.

    1. Yea, cjng are going hard in Michoacan. They are going to do what chapo wanted so badly but never could, take over most Mexican plazas from other cartels

      Delete
    2. 11:19. Michoacan was never Chapo's objective. Yeah - he really wanted to sell little bags to lemon and avacado farmers making 60 pesos a day! When Chapo spilled blood he did it to control the worlds most valuable plazas by major interstate highway systems leading to major markets and distribution hubs. Chapo moved bags by the hundreds of thousands in tractor trailers in vacume sealed bags - not tiny bags that fit in a cab driver or strip club bouncers pocket selling tenths and calling them grams. Don't make ill-informed claims you know nothing about b/c you clearly don't know shit - just a Chapo hater.

    5. Oh well I think the murderers didn't have their license to kill on them so the authorities had to jail them when they were caught. The homies esposas had to go to the casa to go retrieve them. When the Police Chief saw the licenses signed by EPN himself he of course had to release them. Duh, that's how shit works in the old country.

    6. 12:27 ...not without paying javier duarte de ochoa first, he sold to the cjng before he was governor while Fidel Herrera Beltran was so much of a zeta he was called Z1, duarte was a rata chapuliniando con cjng as his secretario de gobierno in charge of stealing everything he could...for herrera beltran, what's a "girl" supposed to do, find proper monetary back up, no kissing involved...

    7. 12:27 if El Taliban was still in Veracruz and her did not go independent Matazetas would have never done shit in Veracruz. Since you know so much you would know that Los Zetas had small presence in Veracruz during the rise matazetas. Again taking a plaza versus going after Z40 or Z42 are two separate tasks. If Chapo couldn't get to Z40 then Mencho definitely can't either. The only cartel who has been successful against the Zetas have been the Mexican government with aid of the US.

    1. @3:04. Give us a break amigo. The story just came out a couple of days ago. I've got about 30 pages of notes that I am working on reducing to a draft that I hope will be finished in the next 24 hours. IMO it is a very big story and I think we will be hearing more about it for quite awhile.

The International Consortium of Investigative Journalist (ICIU) along with 100 other international periodicals spent over a year going through the 11 1/2 million records (by far the largest "data leak" in history) that had been leaked to a German newspaper. Proceso and Aristegui Noticias were the only 2 periodicals in Mexico that were part of the group.

I have spent many hours going through what they have reported and several other sources to put together a story for our BB readers. Hopefully in the next 24 hours.
