VIDEO:Police Flee As Sicarios Carry Out Execution

Translated by Valor for Borderland Beat
Update
A video taken by a cell phone shows the complicity on the part of members of the Municipal Police of Escuinapa and the State Preventative Police with a group of armed men who execute a man from the community of Cristo Rey, located in the municipality of Escuinapa, Sinaloa, this past Wednesday.
The video shows how the victim is taken away from his home by at least two individuals and later three shots are heard.
Body of Elías Botello Constantino, dumped off of Mazatlán- Durango Hwy
Just before the homicide, agents belonging to the municipal and state preventative police are shown just outside the home, as they are fleeing the location and getting into their patrol vehicles as the armed sicarios arrive.
Moments later in the video, it is shown how two individuals take a man out of a house, then take him near one of the trucks, while the woman recording the video details what is happening.
The exact moment of the crime isn’t recorded because the phone is aimed across the street, but three gunshots are heard.  Immediately, the video aims back to where the trucks and sicarios are.
It was reported that the police have been arrested and brought before the public prosecutor.
According to local media, the police chief stated in a news conference that six members, four of them state police, and two municipal police, have been detained and brought before the state attorney general to continue and investigate the case.

Update:

The director of Public Safety of Escuinapa, Paúl Ramírez Pineda, stated in a news conference that that six officers, four of them state police, and two municipal police, have been detained and brought before the Attorney General of Sinaloa to investigate the actions of the armed group that was present in the community of Cristo Rey, in Escuinapa.

A video has circulated on social networks that shows how a youth, identified as Elías Botello Constantino, 27, who after being removed from his home by armed gunmen, was found dead on the free toll highway Mazatlán- Durango.

The incident happened on Wednesday but it wasn’t until Saturday that the video was released.

The mayor of Escuinapa, Bonifacio Bustamante, was also at the press conference.

Ramírez said that Elías had a criminal record and that on January 6, he had kidnapped his girlfriend at gunpoint in the valley area of Escuinapa.

Ramírez also stated that on that same day, a family member tried to defend the girl and accused Elías of having shot his leg.

On January 7th, the girl managed to return to her home, but on Wednesday, January 27th, Elías took her again.

Paúl Ramírez stated that the relatives of the kidnapped girl immediately called the police to rescue her, but when the police arrived at Elías’ house, they found an armed group inside the house and the police fled the place as they were calling their base for reinforcements.

The Secretary of Public Security said that the gunmen were in several trucks and outnumbered the police.

“(One of the officers) told me that they didn’t have enough men. I went to the community via the federal highway and when I arrived, there weren’t any trucks.”

If you are not gonna do your job as a cop why collect the
payment? It is very simple, they are the police and if they are no gonna be police then don't put the uniform and don't collect the check.

    4. 12:14 why take the job if you are not going to perform it to the fullest..you already know the danger and im sure they tell you the salary in advance..also to answer the question would you risk your life for 100 a week...for me it depends on where i am at the time and what the situation is...Maybe not here in America because i have ways to make more..but if i was in mexico or another country maybe i would have to or starve..what i wpuldnt do is kill for 100 a week or any amount for that matter.

    6. All cops are egomaniacs to a certain extent but most when approached aggressively or challenged will back down if they feel they can't win. They wait for reinforcements before they move in those situations. That is why unarmed people are beatened or killed at the hands of cops. Mano y Mano against a larger armed group it is almost automatic they would flee. Whether in the US, Mexico or any where else it's all the same shit. Before most you start talking shit I was a cop for over 8 years in New Mexico and Texas. I saw the shit first hand and I fell for the Us versus Them mentality. The thin blue line is real and it is crossed on a daily basis. If you stand up for what is right you are shunned and made to feel like you are freak. Other officers won't back you because you won't go along with illegal crap. I saw and unfortunately I turned a blind eye to targeting, corruption, planting of evidence, racial profiling and illegal searches. If I knew then what I know now I would have definitely gone in a different occupational direction.

    7. 12:14 Here on Mexico miners make about $100 per week and even less. The work is more dangerous now, and in the future can cause many health issues. In fact that is a pretty normal wage in Mexico. Federal police and others make more than $100 per week. They have free cars to drive and do not have to put in any physical labor. You cannot even compare the jobs of miners and other types of labor with the much easier jobs of police here.

The police get cars to drive while the other working people cannot afford them and take the bus of drive a piece of garbage. They already take extortion and bribes to augment their income. To take this to higher crimes and permit murder, kidnappings and being involved in the drug business is going too far.

I know some of these police and they are not the brightest people on the block. I fear the police with their badges and power more than what one would consider a criminal under normal circumstances.

    9. 1:05-so why work? Most must just quit their jobs as officers. In essence they are working for criminals for nothing whereas you and your bosses get all the money. How fair is that?So guess you never have to pay for hits so that explains a lot of the violence.

I know Mexico has a huge problem with corruption at all levels of their government, but this video details the horrors the Mexican people face on a daily basis that most of us only read about.

This furthers the proof that Mexico is on the verge of being docked a "failed state". This proves even more that Mexico is not controlled by its government, but controlled by the Cartels and corrupt government officials. The "43" should have been an eye opener to the rest of the world that Mexico needs help. And I don't mean in the form of monetary aid that only goes to the pockets of corruption. But in the sense of military & law enforcement that will clean up the violence of this beautiful country.

I hope that one day, Borderland Beat will be extinct only because the rest of the world stood up with people of Mexico and defeated the Cartels.

the United States is always rushing off to the Middle East to defend other country's people, but they don't even blink at the idea to come to the help of Mexico.

Cartels become "the biggest" "The most powerful" same with Capos, and then they fall, only to have a dozen ready to fill vacancies.

one thing always sticks in my mind. chivis said-actually she has noted this more than a few times- that until Mexicans look at the man in the mirror, and hold that person accountable, and pull that person out of apathy, and be willing to die in the quest to create a nation that is secure, and just, until then, narcos will do what narcos do, and corruption will thrive, and 2% of the population will be allowed to control and hold hostage the other 98.

    14. Canadiana. Mexico sent a military force to fight against the Axis powers alongside U.S. military forces in World War II. It was the first time that Mexico sent combat personnel abroad. They had declared war against the Axis powers in May 1942 after German U-boats torpedoed 2 Mexican fuel tankers. they organized a force of 300 pilots and aircraft and were in combat and bombing missions in the Philippines. And performed well.
There may have been other Mexicans who on their own joined a joint Canadian, US, and Mexico force that also fought in the war, but they were not official soldiers of the Mexican government.
Mexico's biggest contribution in the war may have been in leading an effort to convince other Latin nations in Central and South America to break diplomatic and economic ties to the Axis powers. A very good read is http://www.historynet.com/world-war-ii-mexican-air-force-helped-liberate-the-philippines.htm

Who in their right mind would get involved in Mexico?Basic truth, why?Every day we see the antagonism and hostility, the US right now is castigated for apparently helping to catch the Chapos,Barbies,Z40 etc.The US is damned if it does damned if it doesnt. Can you imagine the uproar if innocent people were harmed in joint operations, allegations, race issues, arms issues, drugs, politics,on and on,no way, stay well away.Mexico wouldnt thank the US for nothing, the way to avoid issues is to stay out.Even writing things like this you are hated, besides which,Mexico ask the US for help?Someone wondering on the US going to other countries, ever wonder that the US is considering Mexican welfare by not going in?They crash in everywhere else with no problem,no,stay out.
There is no love from the other side, never mind politics?

  25. its all about who has the bigger gun or just a gun in general. There no getting around the fact that the innocent cant protect themselves and the criminals are running amuck with all the guns they could desire.

  32. According to Terra.com the 6 cops are from Procuraduría General de Justicia del Estado (PGJE) Lucio Javier Armenta Apodaca, José Carlos Medina, Francisco López and Héctor Camacho and the Municipales are Enrique Aguilar and Gilberto Toledo.

The victim is 27 year old Elías Constantino Botello.

    Police trucks # 2201 and 2484.

It is sad to see those things, but it is very well known that Municipales and State Police work for organized crime.

  37. I wonder if his girlfriend's family went after the guy. If it is true that he kidnapped her not once but twice and shot one of her family members in the leg, then he sounds like someone that a lot of families would go after. Especially if there are gangsters in the family. (Of course the authorities could also be using their typical "put the victim on trial" strategy to take the heat off of them). Either way, this is a terrible video. Sheer despair.

  43. These bastards are called the "blacks" by the communities in the state of Tamaulipas due to the color of the uniforms. They are in charge of locating and delivering the human "merchandise" as you saw in the video. They deliver, rival cartel members, immigrants trying to cross to the USA and working class people for ransom. They are the eyes, the ears and the kidnappers for politicians and cartel members. Welcome to Mexico aka the "Wild West" where someone is killed every 30 minutes and the law is the main villain.

  44. The snitchaloa defenders are trolling every post on bb, as soon as someone says something negative about cds they come to the rescue. It's pretty hilarious!!

But when bb post an article with facts that they're snitching or anything that exposes what they really are, all of a sudden they got nothing to say.

  45. It used to be common in Mexico to steal your bride away from her family...its a cultural thing and nothing in this article says the girl herself wasn't a willing participant. and he wanted to marry to her, not just bone. its romantic!

  46. ok think about it this way. This person sells drugs for cartel. This person then steals from them. This person gets kidnapped and family calls police to save this cartel member from other cartel member. Would you give your life for a cartel member?

  48. I'm not defending their actions , but it's hard to be a cop in Mexico, I understand that they knew the risk when they signed up, and they enjoy the fruits of the labor( bribes / perks /drugs/etc) but when they make shitty money, and it's usually criminals against criminals they don't give a crap.. I bet they were paid off by the gangsters to leave .. My point is, I knew a Mexican cop In my dads hometown, zacapu , michoacan. He one day caught a filthy old scumbag raping a 12 year old girl who was his neighbors daughter , he managed to record the crime and make the arrest, two weeks after the arrest the scumbags' "friends" (possible cartel peeps) came and offered him a bribe of $50,000 USD to drop charges and claim the arrest was bogus, he consulted with my father and told him what they had done, and the offer they made. Although my dad knew it was a good amount of cash ( scumbag owned a lot of property's and land he had money) he simply told the cop/friend to go with his heart.. The cop/JUDICIAL made the right choice and turned down the bribe, two nights later he was gunned down, by two men in front of his house in front of his wife and daughter people speculate the bribe was paid to the same police dept. and they themselves killed him..I'm not 100% but I'm almost sure these cops in this video already knew about the victims past, and didn't get the "memo" about where NOT to be at this certain time.. . True story..
