Tijuana bloodshed continues

Executions continue in Tijuana

Far from Hollywood studios and lounges where execs, stars and their handlers casually discuss movie rights and casting directors, far from a nation captivated by the celebrity interview, the executions continue on the streets of Tijuana.

A few encojibados to start the year, again wrapped in a green blanket, and bound with industrial yellow rope, bound at the knees, and neck laying in the dirt.  Human life returned to the fetal position Another found just before last weekend.

On Sunday morning, three were murdered in separate incidents, one man executed inside a tattoo shop, another a 'free taxi' driver gunned down in Colonia Libertad, another 31 year old man was murdered outside his apartment complex.  Two were executed on Saturday, in different areas of the city.

The bodies are anonymous, often without name in the news, and this story is no different.  Their deaths are like a grim Greek chorus that sweeps through the city, through it's streets, the taco stands, the sex shops, funeral parlors...yet they continue.  And they devastate the families, the loved ones, the children, and yet it continues.

Failures to pay quota, paying the wrong quota, drug debts and blood feuds fuel the violence....families in the retail drug trade cut a bloody path through their communities, the deaths lack cinematic flair lately, a few bullets to the head from a cheap pistol, carried by a young gunmen, maybe paid 10,000 pesos.  As the peso continues to slide in value, so does the value of that payment for human life.  It's about $500.

Convenience store workers quit behind the counter and take up the task of cleaning Zona Norte of rivals, leaving at least a few targets in the street, before they are captured, displayed, and sent to prison.  Their victims are crumpled on sidewalks bleeding out.  Their employers shrug, and hire another, order more drinks and women for their entourage, in Revolucion bars.

  4. They get El Chapo and that made for a fair bit of chaos and bloodshed, but they're going to simply let things go back to how they were. After a while Chapo will keep running what is left of his faction of the cartel and maybe build it back up unless he is extradited quickly. We all know that basically all the prison guards were being paid off by Chapo and most of them are still working there! Acquiles doesn't seem to have been harmed. Unfortunately Tijuana is not a peaceful place.

    1. Think about it. If it's wrong then that means someone did'nt pay enough $. Hence, the wrong quota. - El Soldado Perdido

    2. Simple one cartel asks for a quota u pay it now youre with them.then the other cartel kills you for paying that quota since it makes you part of the other cartel even if you're not to them you are since you're putting money in the other cartels hands.

  8. What was once a bat to the knee is now handled by scrawny socio-economically deprived teens for a few bucks.

These have to be unsophisticated local thugs. Cartel likely find recruits within these minor league tough guys with a gun.

Cops in Juarez must be in fear for personal safety over anything else.

    1. 10:09 "playboys" do not go around telling any woman "you are the most prettiest", "my good friend", or "best of the best..."
--if they are worth their salt, women just know when to come beg and sit or roll, mainly all it takes a little glance, one look, and the faintest smile, showing a lot of money to some women or men, may work, but that is not playboy...

    1. My sincere apology. The inference is that if a gang war is going on the police are out numbered--unable to protect citizens from know danger and thus end up only protecting themselves from harm. I see no police being targeted. Policy must be to let them fight it out and stay clear.

      Once again--pardon me and thanks.

  16. This is part of the "cleanup" being done by those under "El Piloto Arellano", the guy with the green blanket was left with a mocking message to El Akiles and the green blanket was a nod to his brother "La Rana".

Nobody has full control of Tijuana, Mayo´s weight keeps moving through it and CJNG has a ever growing presence, but right now the group with more force inside the city is the new leadership of CAF, they are trying hard to take back some of all the power lost in past years. Tijuana will keep being a blood stained city, sadly.

its happen before. back in early 2004 when Benjamin & Osiel made a temporary alliance to combat chapos mayos etc.. Osiel tryd to take advantage of the pact by sending his Zetas (the founding ex military zetas not what you see now) into tijuana to work. these were confronted by the new generation of the AFO tigrillos ppl. the AFO hung all of them from a bridge and left a manta "Welcome to Tijuana" as a warning to all that the new generation of the AFO whas ready for anyone wanting to invade tj. dontbelieve me look into it my friend

  22. true. now days cartels invest more in hit squads instead property, marketing etc.. I can tell u with confidence here in tj the afo invested very good.. business marketing trafficking..those yrs pff the spot light served them well. sum of the family members took great advantage of that opportunity. hit sqauds theres plenty here. most of them trained by active and former marines from camp pedelton with family ties to cartel members :-) one last note the afo hit squads operate a lot different then most places. based on experience
