El Viejon of CDG arrested

Oscar Leon Mendoza Cepeda, member of the Cartel del Golfo who operates in the centre of Tamaulipas state, was detained by Police in Ciudad Victoria.

The subject known as "El Viejon", 55 years old, was captured together with Brigida Laurentina Guerrero Aguilar in a populous sector of the Tamaulipan Capital, informed a communication from the Coordination Group for Tamaulipas.

Mendoza Cepeda was captured with 14 weapons, 20 wraps of drugs, a vehicle, magazines for weapons, bottles of whisky and cell phones.

At the moment of his detention, some people attempted to bribe the State Police, offering 10,000 pesos to set him free.

The authorities confiscated the following:


  • 7 rifles with 2500 rounds of ammunition
  • 7 pistols of different calibre's
  • 58 magazines
  • 20 wraps of cocaine
  • 35 cell phone, 16 of which were new
  • 11 bottles of whisky (large)
  • 45 bottles of whisky (small)
  • 2 copied uniforms
  • 4 tactical jackets and a tactical helmet
  • a sedan automobile
Mendoza Cepeda and Guerrero Aguilar were put at the disposition of the Federal Public Ministry together with the weapons, ammunition and other evidence.

  4. Notice the 56 bottles of whiskey? CDG has been in the bootlegged whiskey business since way before they where called CDG in the Prohibition days. This has been one of their favorite rackets, since CDG godfather Juan Nepomuceno Guerra Cardenas founded the group.

    1. Osiel Cardenas got cogido and exportado, he paid 250 million dollars to the US government, I do not think mexico will get one peso from that money...
      --for 200 million he would have stayed in mexico, protected by the mexican government that protects all of its corrupt governors, presidents and linia asesinos y rateros...
      --osiel would be free and have 50 million dollars to spend...in mexico...

Don't know if the same guy,but wasnt El Viejon mentioned as being cool with Victor Zetas?Many of these guys must be cool with each other,know each other?CDG and Zetas seem like seperate state crews sometimes,specially if they are not getting supplied as they once did but who knows with these guys?
