Juan José Esparragoza Jiménez, arrested last weekend by elements of the Ministry of the Navy, has pled not guilty of the charges of drug trafficking, and weapons charges against him before a federal judge, but said that his father, Juan José Esparragoza, el Azul, is dead, as was unofficially reported last June.
After his arrest, Esparragoza Jiménez gave his preparatory statement to the third district judge in matters of federal criminal processes in the State of Mexico, at headquarters in Toluca. He was arrested last Wednesday 20 in Culiacán, Sinaloa, although the apprehension was not known until Monday, the 25th. He is being detained in the Altiplano prison,
According to judicial sources, the detainee stated "deceased" in pertaining to his father, Juan José Esparragoza Moreno, one of the founders of the Sinaloa Cartel and who - according to the weekly Ríodoce, Culiacán-died after he was in a car accident.
Regarded as the "Godfather of Godfathers" for the relations he maintained with the authorities and other drug trafficking cartels, el Azul was a drug trafficking legend in Mexico. There are few known images of him, although in it's Edition 1963, June 15, Proceso magazine published photographs allegedly taken of the capo during the 2012 Christmas holidays.
With that alleged death and the arrest of Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán, the past February 22, also at the hands of the Navy, the Sinaloa Cartel will only be controlled by what remains of its founders, Ismael el Mayo Zambada.
Juan Ignacio Esparragoza Jiménez, eldest son of the el Azul and brother of the man arrested last, died in Guadalajara, four years ago, after having suffered an accident, falling from the top of a building, in Culiacán. He was interned at the Los Angeles hospital and despite the efforts of medical specialists over several weeks, they failed to save him.
Juan José Esparragoza Jiménez, el Cora, is the youngest son of el Azul, from his second marriage. He was arrested along with another person in a raid carried out by Marines in the Interlomas neighborhood, to the northeast of the capital of Sinaloa.
The Navy handed surrendered custody to the Federal District [DF] to the Attorney General of the Republic, which reported it Sunday 24 within the criminal case 65/2014. It accuses him as probable responsibility for crimes against health, in the form of methamphetamine production and possession for the purpose of trade in methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana.
According to the a bulletin issued by the federal government [Segob] José Juan Esparragoza Jiménez and Joel Vázquez Valdenegro were arrested with two bags with 27 and 47 grams of green grass, with the features of marijuana; a package with 369 grams of white powder, apparently cocaine; a rifle, a handgun and 75 useful cartridges, as well as 26 pounds and 50,000 ml of what appears to be methamphetamine, and 2,746,000 pesos in cash.
Elements of the army dismantled five methamphetamine laboratories allegedly run by José Juan Esparragoza Jiménez, operating in the states of Sinaloa and Durango. According to military information, one of the laboratories was secured in the vicinity of the town of Tamazula, Durango, with 1.5 hectares (15,000 sq meters) with features of a factory.
The Tamzula property had different areas, among them buildings for staging of chemicals, a mixing area, processing , finish and packaging, as well as a dormitory.
The military operations were carried out a few days after the arrest of the alleged son of Juan José Esparragoza Moreno, el Azul.
In addition to denying the charges, the detainees asked duplicity of the constitutional deadline for the judge handed down for automatic freedom or detention. The deadline expires next Saturday, the 30th of August at 11:20. [click image below to enlarge]

Yeah lets believe his son, im sure he'd never lie...(sarcasm)...
ReplyDeleteI tell you what his drug dealing gang is dead 6 months later Chapo who?
DeleteDrug dealers come and go the best drug dealers are the low key ones not the show offs , showing off just brings haters
He would agree, a broke bum put on what he thought would impress the young man a pair of ostrich honey colored shoes and a matching belt.
DeleteHe was asked not to wear that shit again. Then we grabbed ice cream from la Michoacana... ( his flavor of choice is reserved for patterns are da devil in that life style)
Humble, smart , patient, and cares for those who everyone else takes them for a ride. When every one else takes you for granted with their hands out as you owed them something, everything he counseled manifested to the T during the last 6years.
When my own homie tried to have me smoked , he had my back ,when I was in a walker my cousin slapped my face for standing up for the weak, then a cab showed up and departed my cousin fro there.
When my own family hated ( I was that dumb ass breaking bread with the hood and got told on.)
He showed me love , stern but sincere, when no matter how crazy I sounded he always heard me out.
"Don't drink, eat well and take care of your self for those aren't your friends, when your paper is gone so are they , save and go out of town with females and enjoy yourself.
Forget those vulchers , I drove a couple hours to come see you.your partner says your peeling out and shooting up in the air I explained that I took that homies girl to the momo da night before for hiding those who owed.... he tripped out and laughed when I asked if he wanted some time with her also. Then he drove a couple hours back home for his sole purpose was to insure my well being.
One thing though, he's stingy like a mother.
Unable to mellow out personal matters, his wisdom wasn't present for I had moved away.
Over all, a person who acknowledges and gives their undivided attention to everyone including bums, its brother hood that's utilized not violence, this Uncle Sam government makes up shit to jam those who aren't in their snitch pockets( cartels snitches on their rivals and sometimes those with them ). If your not snitching to uncle sams feds ytour an enemy of the states and USAs puppet Mexicos government is utilized according to their master ( USA) to catch you.
The truth is that he's a loving dedicated father, avoids conflicts when possible, and wants nothing more than eat tacos de Burria and plowing his fields of wheat.
Being a 0311 having served this government, we do some shady shit and I am a proud American, when wheel chair bounded due to a roll over acquaintances true colors eroded,,... broke and solo his initial presence forked over 40$ dollars to eat and made sure I ate and safe.
A dedicated husband and a loving father, no nonsense type of straight shooter.
He would be a better fit for Mexicos presidency.
How far is that from torreon coahuilla aka la Laguna
ReplyDeleteTamazula? to Torreôn? about 500 miles or so. But if driving it is about 11 or 12 hr,s I would think, because one would have to backtrack to Culiacan and south along the coast then up through Dgo to Coa. Tamazula is isolated and really only one good road in/out
ReplyDeleteDurango is next to Coahuila in that time frame you can almost hit south way south of Mexico but I might be wrong but @ chivis thank you and get some rest don't stay up so late bad to the health aka tpch
ReplyDeleteHas anybody noticed that in all the Mexican "novelas" shown on tv there is always somebody crying or arguing? Is it a requirement to know how to cry to be a Mexican novela actor or actress? Cry, cry cry all the time. I get sick of it. "Pura lloradera en esas pinches novelas." I'd rather much read borderland beat.
ReplyDeleteI have no respect for cartels cause they work for the cops that's snitching how can u call your self a man snitching like a weasel seriously its cowardly
ReplyDeleteHe's still alive how hard is it to lie especially in mexico where they believe all kinds of stupid story's he's probally in a hotel in sinaloa
ReplyDeleteIt takes about 9 1/2 hours of course a perfect drive but whatz crazy is that you have to go way arlund to mazatlan instead of going straight across
ReplyDeleteReally? The great big boss and godfather of drug trafficking could not give his own children a better education other than being narcs too?
ReplyDeleteAll we need to know now is how much money el azul left behind, and who took it, like amado carrillo's investments in mexico, cuba, chile, argentina, brasil, etc all but dissappeared, and the family still going to prison, persecuted or murdered, enjoy the inheritance narco-families!!!
He probably educated them better than your father could ever dream of educating your ignorant ass. Some of the worlds richest men and companies sell narcotics. Some legally some illegally. Who cares about inheritances, when a loved one is gone? Is that what your father taught you to care about? Money? That's why some Narcos make better parents than wound up, uptight squares, that try to control their children's destiny. They'll enjoy an inheritance of respect and honor. He was a man who knew how to keep the peace, and his family will sow what he reaped. You're just a fool who knows how to run his mouth. Let's see what you running your mouth will get your family.
DeleteAzul son is more powerful than chapos son
ReplyDeleteProof? I just don't believe it. Azul's son is more powerful in what way? I can see him getting more respect because of the way his dad handled business but I don't see him being more powerful. Chapo's sons are a step below Damaso, they have taken over much of their fathers empire. Is Azul's son a big time pusher? If so why is he never mentioned like Chapo, Mayo or even Lic's sons?
Deletelook azul was way more powerful than mayo and chapo. He was the jefe.. why you ask.. You want proof. Well azul had the conection from the goverment he had the last saying he was giving protection to mayo and chapo . and guess what hes son now is in charge.. Not this one..he had the connection on the pinos...he did try to be a low profile.. He was el jefe.. From both chapo and mayo.. And as far as damaso taking over guzmans territory. I dont think so. They are still one group... I beleive damaso dad has more expirience . than alfredo and ivan.. And lets not forget al guano..desde aqui del tubo.. Eldrdo
DeleteAnd to know that Damaso Sr. was a prison guard that let Chapo escape...AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Deletehe was the director.. Not a guard ..he helped no doubt but there are more involved.....
DeleteYea sure like if he's supposed to say "My father fake his death, he's alive"
ReplyDeleteAll the sinaloa bosses and their sons are gonna end up in prison in the U.S. the government is after them after working with them for years.
ReplyDeleteSon says Azul is dead. Doesn't make it proven to me.
ReplyDeleteThat Us govt. sure is dirty!
ReplyDeleteWrong place Chivis!
Delete@10:06 a.m they play dirty with dirty ppl!! U lie down with dogs u gonna get fleas!!
DeleteDouche is that you hating again?
DeleteWhat about if its an indoor dog and showered daily and never steps outside?
Delete4:51 no but it's not only one, everyone knows the truth.
DeleteThe dog is getting the piojos from you pinche nino mamon.
DeleteObvious he's going to say his father is dead how stupid can Mexican authorities be.
ReplyDeleteDo You Really Think He's Going To Give Up His Dad? NO!!!!
ReplyDeleteC'mon Guys Lets Be A Little Bit More Bright
Yeah, my pops is dead and I also have some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you, sucker, I mean, sir.
ReplyDeleteHis dad is really dead and the fairy they found in mexico years back is real Mexican authorities never lie
ReplyDeleteThis is article is b.s sorry but it's the truth
ReplyDeleteOkay investigation over. Problem solved. Case closed. Glad i know the truth now.
ReplyDeletethis was a big fish they fried. they don't go into another business pendejo its obvious I hate idiots like u no common sense. lets say he becomes a lawyer rivals will find him n execute him.. El mieado zambada said it best that old fart. are kids have no choice there easy targets in a normal life. they must live in the shadows..
ReplyDeleteDude smoke some weed and slow down on those pills ya taking. Why you so mad dog? You sound as if you know a lot but you don't. You just repeat others words that you here from or other stupid blogs ya read. You sir, are the pendejo here on this site!
DeleteOk we all thought he was alive untill his son told us the truth case closed... NOT
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm his Irish uncle!!!
ReplyDeleteDamn ,top right of photo. Those girls are not that bad.I bet they have never worked a day in their lives. It will be interesting to see if the Mexican government goes after the family fortune. I hope they do,all of their lifestyle has been financed by drugs, greed, and murder.
ReplyDelete@3:56
DeleteI was thinking same thing about those honeys. They are not bad
I think you guys are talking about the guys on the left.
DeleteThe new young bloods is the Sinaloa cartel are as smart if not smarter than the elders who are in prison or dead. Half of them are American citizens and bribe the border on both sides. They put friends in border patrol to have easy access to pass drugs through American soil. All the do is pay 50 grand for each truck to look the other side. I personally know 2 agents who work the El Paso I10 checkpoint and are getting a years salary on each load. They are smart. They don't show their money but they could probably retire in a years work!
ReplyDeleteThanks for snitching on these two agents well be looking for em now hehe
DeleteTwo agents. I believe there are a lot more of em out there. Shit, every checkpoint has them. No need for snitching it's already well known!
DeleteYeah, there is a lot of drama and drama mamas in BB too, and snitches, talking about the secret business of police with narco-managing is not good, the lowly police, poorly paid, are suppossed to take bribes, to look the other way, but the truth is, they may make a tip here and there, because the big police bosses and chiefs are the ones who take not kickbacks, but the lion's share by extorting the big cartels bosses, after being paid millions of pesos every month by the government, they really need the other million of dollars every month from the narcs, who then have free reign on killing and murdering to make up for the expenses of supporting the government officers pimping their arses, presidents, security ministers, federal police, army/navy ginirals, governors, all of them CORRUPT and without remedy, i hope el azul pass his black book or his blue book or his red book to his children, he knew how much everybody's booty was up for, like frank costello, who understood when it was time to go, and did not rat on anybody, not even his shooterwho would have taken it on the chin, gigante.
ReplyDeleteDid anybody ever find out what was the son of el azul doing way up there on that buildinghe fell from? That is suspicious...
you mean the one that fell juan ignasio.. he was high so he fell. hard to believe but yes..
DeleteOne word ( Bribe)
ReplyDeleteDrama and snitching is no more of drama than you talking about the blue book black book or red book to pay the big chiefs. Now that's drama plus snitching if I ever heard one.
ReplyDeleteSaw that blu fooker performing with elvis on a street in Dago.
ReplyDeleteThe son of rafael caro quintero is a socialite, jet setter, jockey club show horse competitor, enjoys daddy's money, i don't know if he is a drug trafficker or if he went to school, but i don't see anybody persecuting him, and on't worry about my kids, police officers, army veterans college grads, and yet, all these blessings don't make me feel like i owe anybody a thing, the US is still a great country in spite of its chickenhawks, traitors, sellouts, corporate welfare and
ReplyDeletebenedict arnolds, and that is all thanks to "We the people..." the founding fathers who still make it hard for traitors to betray the union
You are one very naive person
DeleteI was just raised that way.
DeleteThats the reason American s are the way they are
DeleteJust curious what happens to all the money these narco drug lords possess in secret accounts who stay with these millions once they're caught or killed anyone?
ReplyDeleteIf anyone had the respect of his peers and his enemy it was this guy. Old school mafioso who stayed out of sight and did brokered deals where everyone made money. Who "dies" from random injuries or a heart attack in the drug game? Answer is nobody but El Azul. I am definitely not a Sinaloa fan so before the hating starts just know I recognize the man for what he is.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how every one just went low pro like the Guadalajara cartel days.
ReplyDeleteIts just like believing that Lazca is dead !
ReplyDeleteI told siskiyou_kid "wathc no one will believe it" in fact I am not sure about it either. we are supposed to believe his loyal son? But i do believe that he is dead more than I disbelieve it, because of the timing of Chapos arrest.
ReplyDeleteBut it is a case of just reporting the story, not writing it, and there are details of his sons arrest of which a few of yu were nagging me about it :)
They remain very wealthy. RCQ came out many times more wealthy than before because of investments his family made of his behalf
ReplyDeleteIs Juan José Esparragoza Jiménez, Azul's son even in the game? Is he a member of CDS? If he is, is he an upper echelon cartel figure? I've never heard him mentioned as being active CDS.
ReplyDeleteAll the azules are really low profile just like the quinteros. Its pure silence now if you have noticed even the chapos and mayos have went underground its back to the old days I'm guessing and who ever dosent want to listen and make noise they get whacked not to forget all the independent cells that form the federation.
DeleteDid you read the article? It says he was caught in culiacan and with drugs and then they dismantled his drug labs from culiacan all the way to durango. And you still asking if he was in the drug game? And of course hes not gonna start being a look out or just a drug pusher because of his dad he will be up the latter with the big dogs!
DeleteJust because it made the news it doesnt make it so. Trust me, or don't.
DeleteAfter Nazario Moreno faked his death in Michoacan with government complicity, I will believe just about anything, although I tend to think el Azul really is dead.
ReplyDeleteThe family was fairly discrete about the memorials, and there was not any concentrated effort to find him.
However, I can't disagree with anyone who doubts his death, because we don't have proof. The stories of his death are convoluted as to whether it was an auto accident, or a heart attack when he tried to get out of bed in the morning.
I don't see how his death could be proved, because his body was reportedly cremated and the ashes scattered......................
I honestly don't believe Lazca is dead. I think he is running things. He is the too dog in the game
ReplyDeleteNah that was him dead in those pictures. Everything that happened was standard procedure on behalf of the cartel. They tended to pick up their dead comrades and disolve the bodies in acid. They got rid of evidence. If he wern't dead the zetas might still be one group not several groups who even fight each other.
DeleteEl Cora? I read the book El Sicario and he says the order to eliminate one of the journalists, Dr something, came from an El Cora. same guy?
ReplyDeleteMost of the sons of the capos are pretty big time but they aren't the ones being groomed to take over the top spots are generally older and above all they don't have social networking accounts!
ReplyDeleteOf all the "Shot Callers" Azul was the most dynamic as well as "Low Key" one of all. He kept such a Low profile that no one put any heat on him. He was the Honorary Mayor for most of the cartels. He kept to himself and when the others were at odds they always called on him to keep every body calm until an agreement could be made that everybody could live with !
ReplyDeleteHe had a lot of heat on him, wake up
DeleteWell that what you think because you hear rumors or the things you read online who knows maybe he was violent but one thing for sure he kept a low profile like nacho coronel too. I think chapo would had been more low key if it wiuld not have been fail asanitation attemp where the catholic priest died other than that thats how we know who chapo was and is. Mayo low key except when he did that interview.
DeleteThis idiot again!
ReplyDeleteWrong place chivis!
Azul, Mayo, and Chapo seem to be very close and smart. I'm sure they've prepared for everything to keep this empire going.
ReplyDelete@August 28, 2014 at 8:33 AM
ReplyDeleteDid you know that with phone here is reply-link with posts? With phone it would be seen correct, just under the post to what he/she replied.
I don't know why it doesn't work with computer browser, thats very confusing.
Jajaja that shit is funny
ReplyDeleteIm thinking people who have a lot of money dont give a shit how they look anymore all the capos who get caught have some hideous clothes on
hey chivis i dont appreciate you not posting my comment : chapo snitched: when i say that i truly believe hes the biggest snitch to ever set foot on this earth!
ReplyDelete10:55 no problem, we all do what we can, thanks for the constrictive criticism.
ReplyDeleteI certainly wish i knew every little gramero and every little detail about every little crooked police, but i have had to give it up and go after bigger game, more putrid, and i have certainly found some, but after two years, i still don't see any of them falling down, i don't care about one pulitzer prize winning artcle, that is why i chose to repeat the most obvious facts, which is boring even to me, and which obviously tire up geniuses like you, but i'll keep trying, for the purer of heart, inspite of the dissapointing it causes you, as long as the administrators keep posting, i hope you have noticed i never ask of nobody to stop posting comments or to be kept away, no matter what, it has something to do with a different criteria, morals, ethics, etcetera..
--ok, back to mammy, and see what she thinks, of yours and mine's...
He's still alive how hard is it to lie especially in mexico where they believe all kinds of stupid story's he's probally in a hotel in sinaloa
ReplyDeletereally guy? really! coming from a gringo that thinks bin laden is dead ? but never had a body to show the media because you respect their religion? the keneddy assasination? the twin towers? you gringo cunt want to talk to mexico about lies? really?! seriously?!! i mean really!! come on man!
El Chapo raging a war in Chihuas wasn't very low key. Chapo was not low key at all, he actually enjoyed all the attention and he was a greedy Capo. I think Mayo and Azul kept him close because in the end they didn't really want him as a enemy because they are more business first, blood second.
ReplyDeletechapo was the icon of cds.. They did a good allience .azul goverment connextions..mayo trafikking.. And chapo fighting turfs.. Theres always some one that makes alot of noise.
DeleteGringo mouthpieces do not lie, they just spin before and after spinning their half truths and outright lies, deviate from the topic and mislead the public perceptions with more lies and cover-up...
ReplyDelete--in the US MSM you will never read about drug trafficking by officials of the government, or about money laundering by the likes of mitt romney, bain co, or the bush crime family, to protect the people from knowing about their government's shenanigans...
--but We the people do not need "protection" we want the facts, we can handle the truth...
When will the US defender of the americans start defending el americano from the accusations about his being a ct/viagra? He is american too!!!
