Numerous hitmen for José Alfredo Hurtado Olascoaga aka "El Fresa," a leader for the Familia Michoacana in Mexico’s Tierra Caliente region, find themselves surrounding a captured enemy during daylight hours.
The captive’s stomach has been cut open and is screaming away in horrible pain. His guts are hanging out of his belly. He’s been dealt a painful and devastating blow after surrendering to the depraved goons.
They in turn are inflicting as much pain as possible by yanking out his intestines amidst his agonizing wails. In their crazed frenzy different sinister voices can be heard insisting on his suffering.

DeleteNot letting yourself get captured alive was standard protocol when fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan or when fighting the Japanese in WWII. It should be that way for the Mexican Drug War too, especially in Michoacán… I know people run out of ammo but goddamn.. just attack them and force them to shoot you or something or have an emergency bullet or cyanide pill or extra strength fent tablet on hand.

Not getting captured alive wasn't ''standard protocol'' for soldiers fighting on the islands in WW2, or even in Afghan. You were supposed to stay alive and try to escape. (My Grandpa was in the Philippines and when they were briefed on Japanese interrogation and torture methods and the superiors asked if anybody had any questions, my Grandpa put up his hand and asked ''How do you say I WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING!! in Japanese?'' He was an Irish actor, not a soldier, but he made it home!) But in Mexico they are usually betrayed, or arrested and handed over, and apart from that I think you underestimate the evolutionary will humans have to survive, and the hope people cling to- that it won't be them this time, that the army might swoop in, that they'll be rescued, that their mama told them they were special, maybe there will be an earthquake.. Anything to live a few seconds longer, and then just a few seconds more, and in those few seconds any choice is taken away.
