200 Kilos Of Methamphetamine Seized In Imala, Sinaloa

 "Ivan" for Borderland Beat

Mexican Army personnel seized 200 kilos of methamphetamine in the Imala syndicate, Culiacan.

The Sedena reported that the seizure was the result of intelligence work and operational planning to strengthen the rule of law in the country and detect criminal organizations with a presence in the state.

The drugs were located near the town of El Pozo.

The Mexican Army personnel implemented an interception operation on the possible routes to the town and intensified ground reconnaissance, directing their deployment towards the outskirts of the town, towards the mountainous area. Through the application of tracking and deterrence techniques, it was possible to locate, near a dirt road, 10 packages hidden in the undergrowth, so a security device was established on the outskirts of the place and a thorough inspection was carried out, which resulted in the seizure of 200 kilograms of methamphetamine.

The seizure was handed over to the competent authorities, subject to expert confirmation of the type and quantity of the drug.

  5. Cooperation is almost always retroactive, and not proactive in terms of sentencing. Meaning, Mayito would have supplied info during the duration of his plea agreement up until sentencing, not after.
