Military Personnel Arrested For Running Fuel Theft Protection Ring

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Video translation is as follows:

The military personnel arrested for allegedly operating a protection network for fuel thieves within Pemex have lost all opportunity to rid the criminal proceedings they now face.

Three of the four defendants for robbery of hydrocarbon promoted the same number of legal protections. Some before and others after being arrested. Only one recovered his freedom.

The first amparo denied was for the former Security Director of Pemex, Eduardo Leon Trauwitz. Because at the moment of moving the judgment of guarantees there was no order of apprehension against him.

However, Leon Trauwitz was arrested on December 17 in Canada at the request of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic.

The other individual who had the same fate was Colonel Emilio Cosgaya Rodríguez, former technical manager for Pemex security. Cosgaya Rodriguez denounced that he was arraigned verbally and not in writing of the criminal proceedings against him.

Days later the inconsistency was suspended, leaving the legal protection without effect. Colonel Emilio Cosgaya Rodriguez was arrested on June 18, 2021.

The Infantry Lieutenant and Head of Physical Security for Tampico, Tamaulipas, Arturo Villa Adame was also denied his legal protection because he didn’t count on a current order of apprehension.

The only fortunate individual from the accusations was Lieutenant Colonel of the Mexican Army and former Specialist Coordinator in Strategic Management and Systems for Safety and Monitoring of Pemex, Wenceslao Cárdenas Acuña. He recovered his freedom thanks to an amparo that left an order of apprehension against him without effect.

This is Jorge Martínez for Milenio News.

Like ive been saying, every day politicians seem to be losing power while the Military and armed govt forces seem to be snatching control of the drug trade
Every day secretaries of SEDENA and SEMAR are politicking whencin reality it is 100% against the soldiers code of conduct mentioned in the mexican constitution . If you know what im refferring to youll know its deep
