Villa Garcia, Zacatecas: Armed Attacks And Road Blocks Following Capture Of Criminal Boss

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Video translation is as follows:

A strong confrontation between armed men and the Zacatecas police, supported by the army, National Guard, and police corporations of Aguascalientes was registered this afternoon in the municipality of Villa García.

The first reports indicate that the confrontation was unleashed after locating and detaining a criminal boss in the region. However, armed men tried to stop the police and several clashes broke out in the municipal seat and community of Saledañas.

The roads that connect to the municipality were affected by the blocking of burning cars. The same events happened in the municipal seat, they tried to stop the police operation.

Several residents reported that the armed men tried to enter the homes, firing at the doors and facades to protect themselves. But the police response prevented them from accessing the houses.

So far the balance of the confrontation is unknown. The authorities have not released an account of the shooting. Or a brief statement where they specify what happened because it’s an ongoing investigation and there are no further details.

  5. Common cartel members, no need to set up road blocks, it's part of the game, your team members get killed or captured move on, after all, you do the same to Innocents and other cartels.
