Investigative agents of the Mexico City Attorney General's Office, in coordination with the Secretariat of Citizen Security, obtained the arrest of Francisco Maldonado Bustos, alias "Don José", a criminal leader of the Knights Templar in the area of Guerrero.

Preliminary information reveals that the capture took place in the streets of the Citlali neighborhood of the Benito Juárez district, after monitoring and intelligence work by local corporations.

At the time of his arrest, "Don José" had in his possession firearms, drugs in various doses and just over 50 thousand pesos in cash.

Maldonado Bustos was one of the most wanted criminals by the federal authority and was considered a "high risk" criminal due to the level of aggression he exercises against his enemies, which is why there was even a reward of one and a half million pesos for anyone who would provide information that will help in his capture.
