Jerez, Zacatecas: Authorities Destroy Narco Camp, 4 Are Arrested

In the State Preventive Police operation, two long firearms, tactical equipment and ammunition were seized

Elements of the State Preventive Police arrested four people, located and destroyed a camp used by a criminal group in this municipality, as a result of the deployment to combat settlements of this type.

PEP personnel carried out surveillance operations when, near the connection to the community of Ermita de Guadalupe, they located four people who were hidden among the grass.

They apprehended a woman and three men carrying two .223 caliber firearms, tactical equipment and 98 rounds.

When touring the area, they also located a site that, due to its characteristics, corresponds to a camp used by a criminal group.

They found kitchen utensils, food, clothes, blankets and food that were destroyed in order to prevent their reuse.

After the arrest, the four people, the weapons and other localized evidence, were made available to the Public Ministry in order to follow the corresponding investigation.

  1. Not to worry they will be set free, and thier weapons returned, it's only the citizens that are given a hard time.
