Did CJNG Make a Pact with La Línea to Eliminate the Sinaloa Cartel?

As reported in Infobae, El Heraldo de Chuhuahua and La Polaka

The battle has been seen in the execution where rival CDS sicarios were beheaded and in a homicide where they set fire to a procedural agent.

The violent CJNG has allegedly formed a kind of alliance with the Juarez Cartel
to control the northern part of the state

The Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), in recent weeks, have shown to be present in the state of Chihuahua, specifically Ciudad Juárez. The violent criminal organization has allegedly formed a kind of alliance with the Juarez Cartel to control the northern part of the state.

The State Attorney General's Office (FGE), the Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR), and the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE) were the agencies alerted to the appearance of the cartel. The evidence has already been seen in the levels of insecurity in the region; indicators that, according to El Heraldo de Chihuahua, have had a considerable increase of violent crime.

For a few days, the FGE confirmed the increase of criminal activities and
the appearance of members of the cell belonging to the Juarez Cartel called La Empresa.

According to the newspaper, through confidential informants that had reported in the past few days, criminal intelligence from the FGR identified a meeting that members of the CJNG had with various members of La Línea. In the meeting, they agreed to fight for the plaza of Ciudad Juarez to eliminate the Sinaloa Cartel. The evidence is seen in the recent armed confrontations and homicides in the region.

Five sicarios of the cell Gente Nueva from Cartel de Sinaloa were killed,
at least three were beheaded.

The call to clean up by the two organized criminal cartels have begun, and that they have taken action from Ciudad Juárez to the state capital of Chihuahua city that has resulted in executions where rival sicarios of the CDS were beheaded, a trade mark better known for how CJNG operate.

The massacre of five sicarios belonging to Gente Nueva (CDS) in Villa Coronado was confirmed thanks to the investigation of the Chihuahua Prosecutor's Office. They appeared to have been ambushed, killed and at least three beheaded. See Borderland Beat contributor Sol Prendido post for further information.

Coronado is located between Jimenez and Parral.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, it was established that the assailants were members of CJNG and La Linea, and that the dead were sicarios belonging to the Sinaloa Cartel.

The dead were identified as César Didier Mendoza Robles, 27, was from Allende; Santiago Guadalupe Peña López, 17, from Parral, Ángel Alberto Rodríguez Becerra, 25 from Mazatlán, José Guillermo Villarreal Mata, 35, from Culiacán, and Jesús Andrés Samaniego Rocha, 27, from Navolato.
If true, expect reprisals.

The violent events also included a homicide where they set fire to a procedural agent, one of which they believe that the offenders were part of the CJNG, although they did not provide any further details. They went on to say that there have been other violent events that would be attributed to the alleged alliance.

According to information from the Mexican security cabinet,
the CJNG is currently present in at least 28 states.

Investigations by the security institutions indicate that the CJNG works in different ways in comparison to the criminal organizations in Chihuahua. For example, they do not use stolen cars and their method of killing their rivals is a lot more violent. The recent wave of violence is like those recorded from 2008 to 2010, announced El Heraldo, when the Ciudad Juarez recorded one of the highest levels of violence in the world.

For a few days, the FGE has confirmed the increase of criminal activities and was able to identify the appearance of members of the cell belonging to the Juárez Cartel called La Empresa. They are trying to control the plaza in the city of Chihuahua, which has caused the death of “dozens” of people.

In 2019, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) released information about about the arrival of CJNG in the state of Chihuahua along with 27 other states of Mexico.

The 2019 National Drug Threat Assessment, conducted and released by the DEA, noted that "the rapid expansion of the CJNG drug trafficking activities is characterized by their willingness to participate in violent confrontations with the Mexican government, security forces and rival cartels," reported El Heraldo.

The death of the drug trafficker Nacho Coronel in July 2010 turned the self-styled criminal organization Los Matazetas into allies of Michoacan drug traffickers: thus, one of the largest and most violent groups in all of Mexico was born, the CJNG.

It is considered by the DEA, today, as one of the three most dangerous criminal organizations in the world.

Data from the then Attorney General's Office (now the Attorney General's Office), consulted by La Jornada, reveal that Nacho Coronel, who was part of the Sinaloa Cartel, intended to separate from his partners Ismael El Mayo Zambada García and Joaquín El Chapo Guzman.

Therefore, he created a group of sicarios under his command. However, he did not achieve his objective and, during an operation carried out by the Mexican Army, he was killed on July 29, 2010 in Zapopan, Jalisco.

This alliance was strengthened with the marriage of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes,
better known as "El Mencho", and Rosalinda González Valencia.

With Los Matazetas joined Abigail González Valencia, a relative of Luis Valencia and at that time leader of the Milenio Cartel, a criminal organization with a presence in Tamaulipas, Guerrero, and Michoacán. This alliance was strengthened with the marriage of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, better known as El Mencho, and Rosalinda González Valencia.

According to various national security officials, an alliance was also formed that gave way to a criminal structure that operates as an enterprise: while his brothers-in-laws are in charge of money laundering, finances, and relations with criminal organizations that operate in Asia, South America, Europe, and the United States, El Mencho directs the operational part and, therefore, the most violent.

This is not the first time CJNG has forged alliances with other criminal organizations to enter a plaza or a state out of their domain. It happened in Michoacán when the CJNG formed an alliance with an autodefensa group known as Los Viagra to fight off Los Caballeros Templarios, an alliance that is already broken and are in an intense fight in Michoacán.

Also in Guerrero, Colima and the state of Mexico where hey formed alliances with La Familia Michoacana, an accord also broken. In Baja California where they formed a front against Cartel de Sinaloa with the help of Cartel de Tijuana, when they created El Cartel de Tijuana Nueva Generacion.

Not to mentioned that time when the men of El Mencho assisted Damaso Lopez Nuñez, El Licensiado, when they confronted Los Chapitos that resulted in their abduction in Puerto Vallarta in 2016.

This comes in the heels of the arrest of two additional suspects in connection with the November 4, 2019, massacre of nine members of LeBaron family near the Chihuahua-Sonora border. Both suspect are said to be affiliated with La Línea.

The Mexican Attorney General’s Office on Sunday issued a statement saying Wilber M. and Tomas N. (Mexican authorities have not been releasing full names) were arrested in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua in connection with the shooting deaths of three women and six children associated with the independent Mormon settlement of LeBaron.

Mexican federal authorities have arrested nearly 20 men in connection with the murders, including Roberto Gonzalez Montes, a.k.a. “32” or “El Mudo,” one of the leaders of La Línea.

  2. Mencho and Rosalinda already had the older girl Johanna and I believe Menchito was a young boy when they actually got married. Idk why ppl say that's how they forged an Alliance. They lived together in SF area and when Mencho went back to Mex she went back with him and later married but they already had kids

  3. Animo Sicarios.
El Señor Coronel was never going to leave CDS he was a founding member and he has family ties to El Señor Chapo via his wife (uncle) . He created los matazetas to avenge the death of his son.

Juarez is all Gente Nueva del 300

    1. Nacho Coronel was a real man, he was betrayed by el mencho in cahoots with the mexican army to steal his business, army ginirals want to get their little greedy hands in everything, military zone commanders are the regional cartel drug lords deciding who lives and how long with local fiscalias and governors in their pocket, little example Nayarit, since the times of giniral marcelino garcia barragan, the Butcher of Tlatelolco until giniral cienpedos and barragan's grandchild omar hamid garcia harfuch who extorts los rojos, guerreros unidos, beltranes, tepitos chilangos CJNG, everybody...la mencha is just the fall guy here.

    2. Just like Sinaloa has betrayed manyblike Damasos and Chino Antrax and el Ondeado as well as many many more characters. Coronel got what he deserved.
Now if Mencho is the key player in Jaliscas he has no ties to CDS in Sinaloa and perhaps Sinaloa will now be history in Chihuahua in the near future???

  4. This is interesting if there is actually a pact between La Línea and CJNG to rid Juárez/Chihuaha of CDS. CDS are well established there but if their influence were to weaken enough then I suspect CJNG would eventually break the alliance with La Línea and attempt to take full control of the plaza for themselves.

    1. People of Chihuas and more specifically Juarez don't like Sinaloa so much that they want them out of there. They dislike Jaliscas even more. So I doubt regardless of ambition that Jaliscas would have greater ease of taking over Chihuahua territory.
They can try but they lack the strong ties both Linea and Sinaloa people have in Chihuahua. These ties run into El Paso and West Texas, Southern NM and up to Colorado and Oklahoma. Jaliscas have little to no presence in these areas and meth shit does not sell as well there as in perhaps Philly or NYC or anywhere up and down the east coast.

    2. 7:16 AM When has CJNG tried to take over a plaza once they flip one of the warring sides to their side? They haven't done it in Colima, Michocan, Guerrero, Guanajuato, Nayarit, Zacatecas, Baja California or anywhere?

They allow the locals to continue operating and it has come back to bite Mencho in the ass in Michcoan where El Abuelo Farias, Poncho La Quiringa and his wife who keep millions of dollars of mencho's money, El Toro, El Tetos, El Boto, El Tena flipped. In Tijuana El Flakito also flipped on CJNG, El Cholo in Tlaqupaque, Tonala, Tlajumulco de Zuniga and parts of Zapopan flipped on him. Mencho has never betrayed people who have flipped to his side never.

That Mencho betrayed Nacho Coronel is true he was taking up space thinking he was the shit. El Mencho got rid of the Valencia's because they were kissing nachos ass a chump from Durango ordering around Michcoanos hell no.

    3. @9:55 Nacho and the mafias that made him strong in Jalisco, ie Milenios and Amezcuas, had become a threat to Chapos and Mayos due to their scale of production, trafficking and firepower and that's why FCH sent SEDENA. Michoacanos have always had connects from SA to NA, with the killing of NC they knew how JAGL and MIZG operated and weren't going to be SNITCHED on any longer. The fight for the plaza no longer realistically involved the groups from the north as they simply didn't have the men necessary to impose and control Jalisco..

    1. 8:22 la Linia has always been chiguauguau's state police, and they even worked with US agencies as evidenced in the case of the Cd Juarez Casas de la Muerte, the federales just come in to help and assist to get the presidential slices of the pie after taking over from whoever thought he owned any shit, even amado carrillo got FBI and DFS (Guillermo Gonzalez Calderoni) help to get rid of Pablo Acosta in Ojinaga, then he became "El Señor de los Cielos" and polesias and government threw around their yarn that don neto, rafa and el padrino had given their plasas to their designated heirs, it was all bullshit, starting with the real drug traffickers like el profesor carlos hank gonzalez and his children, they wemt to Califas after their Texas Bank got busted for money laundering, and other tejanos like Televisa Azcarragas kept doing business as usual, with everybody.

  8. I don't believe Cjng has entered Chihuahua yet. They always announce their arrivals

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They do that when they are going against a local cartel, but when they are helping other cartel like la linea they dont really need to anounce anything cinse the linea lets them in

      Delete
    2. cJNG announces arrivals when they themselves enter. When there is an alliance in which they are not the dominate cartel they don't announce. They could just be sending men for halcones weapons money drugs etc. It could be an alliance where they send support 3rd party make sense? But you're right CJNG does like to broadcast moves

  9. Is it that obvious? La Linea is desperately needing help from CJNG. Ivan wants to finish what his father never could and own Juarez. But what happens after Chapitos back off the plaza? CJNG isn’t going anywhere and it will be the last of La Linea.

    1. La Linea managed many years alone they are not desperate they got important plazas if they don't have juarez 100% they have ojinaga and palomas under their belt

    2. If chapo couldn’t do it being in the state right next to chihuas. Wtf makes you think Jalisco can do it from thousands of miles away. CJNG can’t even control Michoacan, their home state.

    3. 12:04 if la linea managed to survive the cds-cdj war is just because barrio azteca was doing must of the work so now the war won't be only against cds but los aztecas which happen to have the bigger connection on north of the border with that being said looks like la linea is getting desperate to join forces with cjng..

  11. Funny how this article claims Jaliskas presence in chihuahua over a few decaptiated chapitos.. linieros have been chopping ppl up for years .. nothing new here .. this is Linea vs GN .. if Sinaloa couldn’t take chihuas even while having support from some of the locals ... Jaliskas have no chance here ... Chihuahua is no GTO, SLP, Puebla or michoacana where they’ll let these pendejos move in like nothing ... Jaliskas expect to fight like you haven’t before if you want to step foot anywhere north of Parral
