Huetamo Michoacán: 12 Dead Bodies Found in Abandoned Pick-up

Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: Panorama
The bodies were found on the border of the states of Michoacán and Guerrero, authorities revealed this Saturday, May 23.

Drug traffickers left the bodies of 12 men in a pick up truck after they were shot to death on the border of the states of Michoacán and Guerrero, in western Mexico, authorities revealed on Saturday, May 23.

The Attorney General of the State (FGE) of Michoacán reported that the discovery of the bodies occurred at 8:00 am in the town of El Terrero Prieto, in the municipality of San Lucas.

The 12 bodies were stacked in the bed of a Nissan-brand NP-300 truck, which has  a theft report from September 13, 2019 in Mexico City, the country's capital.

The victims, detailed the FGE, presented severe signs of torture and bullet wounds. Several of the bodies were naked and others wore some clothing such as underwear or pants.
The lifeless bodies of 12 people have been found this Saturday, in an abandoned Nissan NP300 type truck in the limits of Michocán and Guerrero, in western Mexico. Authorities have said there are no hammer caps on the perimeter at the sight of the macabre finding.

The unit, with Guerrero license plates, plates MYG- 7705, and the theft report, was allegedly abandoned in a breach in the municipality of Huetamo, Michoacán. The bed of the truck contained the bodies of a dozen civilians.

"In coordination with Sedena and the National Guard, we reinforced operational actions in the municipality of Huetamo due to the location of 12 bodies on a highway section that leads to the town of El Terreno Prieto," the Michoacán Security Secretariat said on Twitter.

"We maintain a surveillance device through operational work such as strengthening patrols, installing checkpoints and inspecting vehicles in order to preserve the safety of the population," he concluded.
The FGE transferred the bodies to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo), so they are still waiting to be identified and claimed by their relatives.

Local media have reported that the victims of the massacre could be members of the CJNG, who have been ambushed, kidnapped, and tortured by their rivals from the Familia Michoacán.

It is presumed that among the victims is the head of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel, nicknamed "El Chito Cano" , whose nickname began to sound last February, when hitmen launched a threat against the criminal organization of Michoacán. ( This has NOT been verified yet )

"The cleaning started, gentlemen. We come to remove from the State of Mexico all the fucking scourge of La Familia Michoacána, pure people from "Chito Cano,” repeat alleged criminals dressed in tactical clothing.
The silent and prolonged effect of the violence in Michoacán, has affected the inhabitants of the region, who have been evicted from their homes.

Inhabitants of Parácuaro, interviewed by a national newspaper, confirmed that trucks labeled with the initials CZNG (Cartel de Zicuirán Nueva Generación), allegedly linked to the CJNG, arrived with armed men, who demanded that approximately 120 families leave their homes.

On May 14, a video of alleged armed men identified as members of the Zicuirán Nueva Generación Cartel strongly impacted social networks. The muffled and long-armed subjects warned of their alliance with the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel for being the group with the most presence and money in the country.

The recording, in itself challenging, generated controversy as the alleged criminals openly address the president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador , the governor of Michoacán, Silvano Aureoles and the head of the Ministry of Public Security, Alfonso Durazo.

The Michoacán Family and the CJNG are fighting a fierce fight for control of the Michoacán plaza, which for years has been a key point for drug transfer.

One of the lines of investigation that the Prosecutor's Office is following points to a revenge between drug cartels, which dispute the control of illegal operations in the border area of Michoacán and Jalisco.

Mexico reported 3,000 murders in March and 2,950 in April, the two most violent months of the presidency of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who took office in December 2018.

Although drug-related crimes have fallen more than 24% in the first four months of the year, security specialists attribute the killings to the fact that the cartels take advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic to dispute the territories.

The Government of Michoacán, headed by the leftist Silvano Aureoles, has identified the presence of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) and La Nueva Familia Michoacana (LNFM) in that area.

The latter operates with the armed wing of assassins of the self-styled "Los Viagras".

Just on February 14, eight men were tortured and shot to death inside the Los García ranch, in the municipality of Huetamo, adjacent to San Lucas, a farm where weapons and clothing with the initials of the CJNG were found.

Among the eight victims, authorities identified two young people of Guatemalan origin who had allegedly entered Mexico illegally, where they were recruited for organized crime.

So far in 2020, Michoacán authorities have discovered at least a dozen "narcocampamentos" in mountains of the municipalities of San Lucas, Huetamo, Carácuaro and Nocupétaro, which make up the Tierra Caliente region adjacent to the State of Mexico and Guerrero.

  2. Michoacan is the worst place in the entire known world. No place in Africa is worse. It's difficult to imagine even a region in a planet in a galaxy in another universe being worse.

    4. 3:45 PM I been the Michocan 7 or so times over the years probably stayed there for 3 to 4 months total. If I had a rancho with 5 to 10 hectares of Avocado tress I would have never touched the shit hole that is Amercia. In the community that my people originate from the people who were extorted were the weak one's that never stood up for themselves.

    6. @6:05 America is not a shit hole but why did you leave Mexico then go back if you do not like it here. I mean if America is bad is it still better than what’re you left? You say the place where you come from are all brave sounds like you were not brave enough and left

    7. @6:05 3 to 4 months in total is not enough to see what really goes on, and those 3 to 4 months being divided in 7 trips rather than being there continuosly definetly is not enough to experience it. You say only the weak ones get extorted, are you calling the majority weak? They mostly all extorted to thenpoint where avocados prices went up in the united states! Im sure there are guys that stood up and tried to defend them selves but I bet it wasnt easy, they became victims of many crimes, family kidnapped or killed, croos destroyed, i bet many got killed for resisting, in a place where the criminals fight the military, cops dont help, people dismember eachother, i doubt they would leave you alone just because you say no to their extorsion.

    1. Could have been murdered by the army too, they clean out enemies for the local politicians and cartels, even planting their victims somewhere close --the policia federal of enrique francisco galindo ceballos did in the Tanhuato Crime of State for which he had to resign but has not been prosecuted.
--Same with the "zetas" killed in Veracruz by state police of arturo bermudez zurita to show CJNG "work and loyalty".
--on the US they used to pay a dollar per indian scalp, irregardless of age or sex, at times the sicarios dressed as indians and painted themselves red, but were not necessarily military.

Worthless President gave Sinaloa free reign when they released Chapito.

but they are not family of yours, of course.
Bounty hunters and their business do not matter much to AMLO, but there are governors in charge of public security of their states, and municipales everywhere, but you seem to find AMLO's CHORIZO tastier.

    2. Ummmm, you just flipped the script. These people were kidnapped in Guerrero the truck is also stolen out of there, and supposedly all these people are family members of chito-cano and or family members of sicarios from CJNG, these people got murdered in retaliation for the death of el vago supposedly he's a nephew of Lalo Mantecas, powerful player with F.M.

Cjng seeking vengeance, decapitated 7 bodies.

  10. I say this with all due respect. Just a small lesson in slang... The picture says "... and left bodies in a van" with an obvious picture of a truck. In southern Mexico, trucks are referred to as camionetas, where close to the border people refer to camiónetas as vans or station wagons. They call trucks "trockas" around the border. Which is a made up frontera word and people from the south would look at you strange if you mumbled that word. Lol...
