By Orders of the Cartel

By Buggs for Borderland Beat

First of all let me give kudos to Borderland Beat's Chivis for being one of the first to break the story on El Chino Antrax death. I was also calling people, but I focused on Mexico and my confirmation came hours after Chivis posted the story. This is a prime example of the legitimacy of the Borderland Beat and all the followers who play an important role in the duty to inform on the Mexican drugs cartels. We are certainly proud of our Chivis for sure!

Let's talk Chino Antrax

On May 16, 2020, the famous boss of sicarios of Mayo Zambada and founder of the bloody group known as "Los Anthrax," José rodrigo Aréchiga Gamboa "El Chino Antrax" was found executed. "El 5.7" as he was also known was executed after serving so many years and defending to death the organization that one day saw him grow.

El Chapo Isidro

El Chino represented a threat to the cartel, treason, a hindrance, and by order of the cartel he was eliminated. A similar case happened with Jesus Carlos Salmon Higuera "El Macaco" who belonged to the faction of El Chapo Isidro of the Beltran Leyva brothers.

El Macaco

Carlos jesus or Jesus Carlos Salmon Higuera "El Macaco" grew up within the group of El Chapo Isidro and as a sicario under the orders of the Beltran Leyva, after the fight between el Chapo Guzman and the Beltran Leyva brothers. His boss, El Chapo Isidro, became the leader of one of the factions that maintained the war for the Plazas of Choix, El Fuerte, Sinaloa de Leyva, Ahome, Guamúchil and Guasave.

El Macaco fled from the city of Culiacan, Sinaloa after groups of sicarios under the command of the "El Bravo," a fearsome boss of sicarios of Chapo Guzman, attacked "La Oficina" of the Beltran Leyva in Culiacan. That is how he decided to returned to his native land, El Naranjo, Guasave and joined the war taking care of El Chapo Isidro.

This is how El Macaco hardened in confrontations in the golden triangle and against the forces of "Cholo Ivan" boss of sicarios of el Chapo Guzman in Guamúchil, Sinaloa, El Macaco formed a part of the conflict and join with Juan Pablo Osuna "El Cien" or "100" ’who at that time was the most trusted man and lieutenant of El Chapo Isidro. He also joined up with "El Rojo," Fernando Bakir and El Chilango in an organization called "La Oficina" led by El Chapo Isidro.

El Chapo Isidro entered into a war with the ministerial and state police for their actions against the organization. In the operations, there were arrests of drug dealers, seizures of weapons, cars and drugs. This made the Sinaloan capo angry. Along with the Mazatlecos led by Geovanny and Samuel Lizarraga Ontiveros, supported by Juan Francisco Patron Sanchez "El H2" they undertook a series of attacks against law enforcement, in which El Macaco played a crucial part since he led a cell that attacked convoys of the ministerial police.

El Macaco was also suspected as the person presumed responsible for the death of 5 people and more than 12 wounded at a funeral in the city of Guamuachil, on March 14, 2011. The body of Armando Salomon Vizcarra executed in Nayarit was veiled when suddenly AK-47 and AR-15 weapons were fired against the people present at the funeral.

After the series of confrontations with the ministerial and state police, a new attack occurred, in this El Macaco in the company of Juan Pablo Osuna Lizarraga "El Cien" perpetrated the attack in the community of Tetamboca, municipality of El Fuerte. On July 9, 2012, 7 ministerial policemen and three alleged sicarios, including "El Cien."

Juan pablo osuna lizarraga "El Cien" was killed in the confrontation.

After several blows to the organization of the Mazatlecos and La Oficina that resulted in high level arrests and deaths, the armed wing fell on El Macaco's leadership.

El Macaco was detained on July 6, 2014, years after the confrontation in Tetamboca where the 7 ministerial policemen were killed and was detained in the Altiplano prison. After serving a short sentence for the use of weapons restricted to military use, he was released, but at the time of his release, agents from the unit "specialized in apprehensions for the crime of intentional homicide" were waiting for him to arrest him for the death of the 7 ministerials executed in Tetamboca.

On March 1, 2016, he was transferred to the Aguaruto prison in Culiacan, Sinaloa for the crimes of homicide, organized crime and carrying an illegal firearm.

The escape and death of El Macaco

On July 22, 2018, two dangerous inmates escaped, one of them Julian Grimaldi Paredes, the financial operator of the Sinaloa cartel, and the other was Carlos Jesus Salmon Higuera "El Macaco" head of the sicarios of El El Chapo Isidro. They escaped in collusion with the prison guards, who provided them with uniforms similar to those worn by prison guards, as well as drugs, cellulars and firearms. In a video shown by the television newscast you can see the escape of the inmates, in which the guards deliver some bags containing uniforms and weapons, it is also seen how they inhale cocaine and take time their time in their escape. With complete calm, they walked out of the prison towards the city of Culiacan.

That was how El Macaco left the prison, who also left a message written on the wall:

"Here I demonstrate my triumph to those who gave it to bosses in the newly created cell. he left you the one who you say was against you and planned to kill, I am 100% Chapo Isidro, I have my boss's shirt on and it is friend only to the one who pays and orders."

On September 2, 2018, El Macaco was drinking some beers with two companions in a late model black Camaro with Sinaloa plates when he was surprised by a group of sicarios who riddled him with more than 50 bullets, less than a month after escaping from the maximum security prison. The incident happened in field in Naranjo, Guasave. El Macaco was killed along with his companions. At a press conference the state government said that it was a settling of accounts ordered by the same group for which he worked.

At the end, El Macaco was left alone with only the memories of his adventures in the Sinaloan mafia.

In a song called El Zoologico performed by Alfredo Olivas (video at the end of page), part of the life of Carlos Jesus Salmon Higuera "El Macaco" these are part of the verses of the corrido:

"The engineering of the mole
The jump of the kangaroo
Road or gallop
What is the safest
The subconscious wouldn't let me sleep
And my friend was not going to let me die
The might of the lion
The cunning of the parrot
Hawk glide
The strength of the bull
Without so much margin you can choose less
There was no more time than you could waste
It sounded illogical to me
Punish in a Zoo
If the soul is always looking for freedom
I was going to try if I saw an opportunity
Worse than the cemetery
Live in captivity
The pillow and I came to that conclusion
And I've decided to do what the chameleon does
The disbelief of a dog
What I saw expectantly
2 companions
They were coming forward
The captivity little by little was left behind
And like the raccoon again on the mask
A monkey is his companion
Officially ex-prisoners
And in the news they gave no other reason
And in murky waters again a salmon swam
The monkey waited
Reintegrate your pack
More the cutie no longer recognized him
And in his land the earth ate him"

Like the El Chino Antrax, El Macaco was executed on settling of scores, in this case it be treason, or for just being a threat, a burden to the cartel. Gone are loyalty and brotherhood forged in blood and lead. They lived with glory, they died without glory, and all on the orders of the cartel.

  3. Great article, but el macaco was not on the same level as el chino was. He was below him in term of ranks. Also el macaco was killed because he jumped ship to CDS. Also Blog Del Narco had el Chinos death a few hours earlier but they tend to do fake news from time to time. BB is usually 100% confirmed Once it’s posted.

  4. Eventually, the bills come due for us all. It came for macaco, it came for Chino, it comes for priests, it will come for us all, sooner or later.
So let's live with the fear of God, that way, when the bills come due, we have enough Goodwill to carry us through.

They will betray everyone in order for these two families to stay in power regardless of years of loyalty to the cartel.

The ONLY winners here are those raking in the cash in the form of bribes. The governors, the ministers in DCF and elsewhere, the generals, the police commanders, the GA's, the judges, the lawyers, the executives in PEMEX and other gov controlled entities.
