Inland Empire California: The man who was buried at grave site where three men were found slain

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat  Previous post relating to this story

Killed in Michoacan in December

A number of you BB followers wrote in commenting about the man buried at the cemetery site where three men were slain this week.

He was Uver Hernández Castañeda, age 36 when he was murdered in Michoacán this past December.  Below is an article about the killing, from El Debate.

Morelia, Michoacán.- Uver planned to see his entire family in Michoacán this Christmas and with that dream he traveled from the United States to his homeland, but he did not expect that his plans would be cruelly cut by thugs who left him dead 70 kilometers from his destination: Turicato.

December 18th. With an overflowing happiness, he was already traveling through Michoacán lands in that truck that he purchased in his country in the north.

The last trail of Uver Hernández Castañeda, 36, was across the Turicato-Tacámbaro road.

Well overdue on December 20, his relatives decided to report his disappearance before the Attorney General of the State of Michoacán with the hope that the authorities would help him find him alive.

Finally, on Sunday there was news, but it was not the good news they hoped and prayed for.  His body was located with bullet impacts and traces of violence in the vicinity of the Opopeo village, at the height of kilometer 4 + 400.

Experts and agents of the Prosecutor's Office arrived at the site to begin collecting evidence and testimonies in the investigation of the murder. There was nothing known about the Ranger Rover pickup, white, with California license plates 8MLY180.

Now, the Uver family  is seeking justice and information regarding the cause of their love ones unfortunate disappearance and sudden death.

  1. How is this connected to the 3 dead? Apart from just laying on the grave.

    1. The 4 men were friends with the one on the grave. One was a coworker. Obviously 3 are now dead and one on the run.

  8. We can all just assume what happened but the three people found at grave site might of been related to the person/s who killed this guy back in Michoacan, For what is known there was no trace of the three been executed at gravesite. Seams a family member of the guy killed in Michoacan got vengeance and pulled a botas blancas gift on him🤷‍♂️ La maña is a community and I’m sure word got out of who did it and traces came back to the u.s of the one who order the hit or someone related to it. This seams like there was tension at one point with the victim before and whoever waited till he went back home to get him again🤷‍♂️
But something was going on there when was the last time we heard of someone getting killed in Mexico then body’s fall down in the u.s again 🤷‍♂️

  9. Driving a high profile car in MX, especially one bearing U.S. license plates, attracts too much attention from the huevones who steal and murder for a living. I quit visiting MX, family and the beautiful beaches because of the inbred Neanderthals running amok looking for their next victim.

  12. What was the name of his restaurant in Perris? And who were the 3 killed at his gravesite? Sounds like there was alot more to it. Why would anyone go to michoacan w a new range to er anyway?

  17. Why would he travel in that White Range Rover into areas he is unfamiliar with. I live in Chihuahua and there are areas in the state that it is not wise to drive in an expensive car or truck. You are just asking for problems. We keep an older good running car for travel into many areas here, so as not to garner attention.

    ReplyDelete
  18. He should have traveled by plane, He was a sitting duck, might as well have painted his Range Rover yellow.
That's a show off SUV, a regular older car would attract less attention from the criminals.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Now everyone will ask "Why was he driving such a nice vehicle in Mexico?"....they'll say he was asking for it "por presumido" or "Pues ni siquiera era de el, lo compro a pagos". That's straight bullshit but that's the mentality of every fucking naco and tacuache over there who doesn't want another Mexican to have nice things.

  23. Pretty dum to drive this kind of trucks to a state where criminals are just looking for the next victim not to mention that he was involved in that life as well, one of the dead bodies found at his grave was his brother's, the suspect of the murder was drinking with all the victims the day before....

  31. Everyone saying why would he drive that type of car into Mexico, I’ll tell you why who would feel comfortable driving a nice car in to a thug war territory?? The average joe would of not visit much less drive That type of car there knowing how hot this is and the attention this would bring..
This guy was not ignorant when he decided to drive his nice car there. Are we all saying he was the only michoacano not to know what was going on in his home state? Whatever the reason was that he decided to drive that thing there... ? Knowing how the state is why even bother driving, Any how. People stay humble you will not impress no one in Mexico. With your brand new finance car.

Shit had nothing to do with the car for you to post a stupid comment about people Hating on a base 60k rover. Yes it is sad only few people have a privilege to drive certain cars in Mexico with out been Harassed. But this guy was not worried about that so it seams. Like everyone said who would be stupid to drive down and Through rural towns unless you got cost clear.. is the word taquache Insulting to you? Should I be insulted by that? I’m confused. Your calling me Possum? lol

  34. I'm gonna go out on a limb & say that Uver probably had an arrangement with a plaza boss in Michoacan that's why he felt safe taking a Range Rover to his home state. the arrangement went sour at some point in time before he was killed. Another explanation is that a rival group killed him to antagonize the group Uver was associated with. there's a boatload of possibilities here

    ReplyDelete
  35. From the comments I can tell. Lot of people either have not been to Mexico in a while or don’t venture far from their Pueblo. Range rovers BMWs Escalades are all over the place in Mexico. Opportunists lie everywhere. Even here in the states.

  36. The mafia is driving nicer trucks than those in Mexico. This smells like a hit and not a robbery. People think they’re gna go stunt in Mexico but they get stunt on. Not everyone in Mexico is poor. Get your head out of your a$$e$

  43. Crazy he made it that far in Mexico it seems to me there’s more to this story he had to be in the drug business

  44. To those who don’t travel in Mexico, you’d be surprised how safe it is for tourists. You can drive whatever you want and not be bothered. This was obviously cartel related.
