Hermosillo, Sonora: Suspected Femicide Culprits Are Killed


- Three of them carried identification, the fourth person was identified by a witness.

- This Thursday, January 2, the Judge had issued an arrest warrant against two of them, for their probable participation in the crimes of aggravated kidnapping and criminal association, in addition they were investigated, also for the probable participation in the crime of feminicide against 3 women last December.

Staff of the Attorney General for the State of Sonora (FGJE) identified the four individuals killed on Thursday, January 2, two of whom were already under investigation for various crimes.

Francisco Ignacio “N.”, “El Nacho”, 37 years old, originally from Nogales, Sonora, and Bryan Fabián “N.”, 20, have an arrest warrant for aggravated kidnapping and criminal association.

In addition, they appear in the investigative folder integrated by the Public Prosecutor for crimes of feminicide, for the latest events in Hermosillo at the end of December 2019, where three deceased women were found.

The other two deceased were also identified as Fernando Carlos “N.”, 32 years old, and Óscar Ramiro “N.”, “El Catracho”, 31, originally from Honduras.

The four people were killed in the parking lot of a shopping center, located on Boulevard de los Ganadores and the Son-104 road to Sahuaripa, in events that took place around 7:30 p.m. on January 2nd.


Witnesses indicated that several people arrived, in two vehicles, where the four injured were conversing, and began firing weapons of heavy caliber to kill them and flee.

At the crime scene two cars belonging to the deceased were seized, a late model white BMW X3, and a recent model white Nissan Sentra, in addition to several spent shell casings for a .40 S&W and 9 mm firearms.

FGJE personnel, in coordination with security authorities of the three levels of Government, set up a search operation to find the probable perpetrators of the events.
