Drogheda, Ireland: Ruthless Irish Gangsters Copying Brutal Mexican Cartels by Dismembering Victims

EXCLUSIVE Keane Mulready-Woods, 17, was beheaded and his body cut up as part of a gang war which has led to comparisons with Mexican drug cartels

Ruthless Irish gangsters have copied Mexican cartels’ notorious practice of dismembering victims to scare rivals.

The gangs – who make most of their money selling cocaine – carry out the grisly practices to intimidate their opponents.

And things went to another level when Keane Mulready-Woods, 17, was dismembered by a “psychotic serial killer”.

His limbs were cut off and his head was found in the boot of a burning car after he disappeared in Drogheda, Co Louth, two weeks ago.

Mexican cartels are known for their scare tactics of dismembering rivals

It is feared that his death could prompt further horrific reprisals in the gruesome style of El Chapo's Sinaloa cartel which beheaded and dismembered its victims.

A source said: “The Mexicans take it to another level and the Irish have copied.

“Shooting someone isn’t enough now – you’ve got to cut them up and put it on social media.

“But where does it end? Keane will just be the first of many.” The news emerged as it was claimed that a thug from the UK has joined the bitter gang war.

Keane Mulready-Woods was caught up in gang warfare in Ireland
It is alleged they are protecting Irish mob boss Cornelius Price – who has an £85,000 bounty on his head.

The hardened criminal was released from prison last year after serving a three-year sentence for reckless endangerment of a police officer.

A source said: “Price and his gang are at the centre of this feud and they know they’re under serious pressure from the people who killed Keane Mulready-Woods.

“It’s not the first time he has drafted in supporters from the UK because, when he’s under pressure, he surrounds himself with people he can trust. It’s also concerning that people from outside the area could be dragged into this feud.”

Mexican drug trafficker Joaquin Guzman Loera, aka 'El Chapo' Guzman

Irish cops have established a strong presence in Drogheda in a bid to prevent any more outbreaks of violence.

Keane was abducted and taken to a house where he was tortured, killed and dismembered.

Last Monday night, parts of his body were found inside a black sports bag thrown from a car as it travelled through an estate in north Dublin.

His severed head was found in a blazing Volvo hatchback in Drumcondra, Dublin, last Thursday morning.

A 24-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the teenager’s murder.

  2. Similar occurrence in Vancouver 2017, Hells Angel Bob Green was killed during a weekend long party at the compound of the 856 gang. The dude brought gun to the party was found dismembered in a public place the following day. The killer, was given a choice:

Certain individual Hells Angels in Quebec and British Colombia Wield a lot of power within Canada and worldwide. Shipping meth to Australia is an allegedly lucrative venture linked to some members of the club

    2. @1:39 I think you should practice reading comprehension Sherlock. It does not say the cartels where the first (which they were not), but they sure have:
      1. Done it frequently
      2. Popularized (made it known)

    3. 3:38 why must you preempt your comment with "Ur dumb", you would be far more effective, articulate and mannerly to drop the Ur dumb. without that your comment reads pretty well, for sure much improved---just saying

I usually don't pull the grammar police but while calling someone dumb, you better make sure your comment is perfect. and how do you know what he/she has knowledge of?

  10. Cutting people to pieces has been going on in Modern Mexico since the late 70s. Jeffery was doing just that in the 80s probably even sooner. That type of stuff involves gentics at the start then it becomes a copy cat kinda thing.

  11. This article seems pointless. I think they were just trying to get rid of his remains. Its not like they left his body in public on display. The head was attempted to be destroyed in the car that was set on fire and since that failed, they likely caught a few perps who flipped and gave up the location of the rest of the body. Until this is done on a weekly basis or mantas are posted with bodies, I dont think they are copying anyone...

    1. The intention was to leave the remains outside the house of the boss of the gang the kid was with, they got spooked by the cops in the area and dropped the bag close by.

  12. Ireland is fucked up at the moment but it still doesn’t excuse dismembering a child-ya get me?!
There’s rumours that Keane petrol bombed the wrong house there’s also rumours that it was done cuz he stole a psychopaths flip flops-that psychopath being none other than a known murderer named Robbie Lawlor from rival firm in Coolock

    1. There is a video on YouTube of lawlor being provoked outside a gym by a group, he got punched and his gym snatched from him and thrown into the street, apparently this kid was the one recording that's why they found him in the same bag with the flip flops he was goading lawlor about put on his dismembered legs

  13. Geez you guys take things way to seriously. No one is saying cartels invented the dn technique... Just that in the world of drug dealing and the underworld, it is a very popular thing that they do to intimidate their opponents. If you were to have statistics about which county has the most dismemberments or decapitations I bet Mexico would bet at the top of the list. It's a valid comparison...
Aren't we lucky that cartels aren't impaling anyone. Vlad would be turning in his grave!!!

  14. Gangsters killing gangsters... Who cares!! Let them kill each other in the most brutal fashion ever! Got no pity for drug dealers and gangsters who do nothing but harm to society for the almighty dollar.

It's when innocents get hurt that these stories are sad.

  15. Thanks for covering this im from Ireland and we do see a lot of shootings between gangs and travellers (gypsies) mostly in Dublin but this type of killing is a first.
Our cops are not equipped for these gang wars your average cop doesn't carry a gun and these thugs have absolutely no respect for the law or the people that obey it the only thing to fear is a day in court which mostly result in leniant sentences or none at all.
