He explained that the family made up of 3 women and 14 children moved from Bavispe, in Sonora, to the La Mora ranch, in the Mennonite municipality of Galeana, in Chihuahua, when the aggression was registered where they were ambushed by an armed group.

"The balance of the aggression is 9 deaths, 3 women and 6 minors; 6 children injured and one minor unharmed and one minor allegedly missing," he said at a conference accompanied by the President.

The Secretary of Security, Alfonso Durazo, confirmed that the LeBarón family massacre left 9 people dead, including 6 children, plus 6 children injured.

Zone of aggression is at Sonora and Chihuahua border
The Secretary of Security mentioned that the area of the attack is in dispute between various criminal groups and there is an organized crime cell linked to the “Pacific cartel”, which intends to take control of territorial areas of Sonora.

He said that Julián LeBarón himself believes that the events are not related to his family and that his family's convoy may have been confused with one of the criminal groups in the region. [however the family has been receiving threats and the government provided guards paid by LeBaron's. AMLO took the guards away]

For his part, President López Obrador sent his condolences for what he described as an "unfortunate tragedy" and promised that justice will be done.

"I send my condolences, it is unfortunate because innocent children were killed. What is going to be done in these cases, collect all the information to see the causes and arrest the guilty, that there is justice," he said.

"Above all, send a hug to the whole family, to all those affected, to the families of the victims and the commitment to do our part so that there is justice."

It’s really sad when kids get killed for something that they don’t have apart of I’m not in no way condoning this behavior but thers always been illegal activity with the menonitas they ain’t all church people why you think ther in Mexico but still it isn’t a reason to kill the kids but the United States is really pushing the issue about the cartels???why know they are wanting to enter Mexico to(fight the cartels since Mx needs help)ther is something that USA wants in MX maybe the people that killed the American family crossed the border into Mexico and then they went back like nothing oh ya and let me guess who did the killings CDS right come on they are going to get blamed for it regardless who really did it

    1. Well get ready to let seals in AMLO... Or face tariffs, etc. I'm sure the US is mobilizing as we speak.

  3. “Send a hug to the family”?? WTF?? Just how fucking stupid is AMLO? He should be arrested and thrown in jail - along with his entire administration of losers. They took the guards away? Why? Because he had some more important work for them to do??? I hope the U.S. says fuck Mexico and just goes in and cleans shit up....would take 48 hours max. Or, we can hand out some more hugs and pass the nail gun and some wood...gonna need a few dozen more coffins before the day is out.

    3. 8:57AM - 100% - FACT: Murder rates higher under AMLO than ever before. How's that hugs not bullets thing working out? Need more time you say? Tell that to the families burying their dead. Also fact - the "gringos solution" has resulted in the most powerful and prosperous nation the world has ever known. Also FACT - that nation has never been as prosperous as it is right now under Trump. Also FACT - Hispanic and African American unemployment has NEVER been lower.

Get the facts - not fake news from a liberal media that hates him.

    5. If you knew that all this is being caused by your government, not Trump, the CIA and the DEA, much coincidence that in each event days before the CIA, DEA and the US ambassador have been in the states where these tragedies occur. Culiacán, Sonora, Chihuahua. But you think we don't know, you think those bastards don't have a tail, you think they're going to get away with it.

To open your mouth are very good but the brain does not give them to understand that violence in Mexico is the fault of the USA with its 70 million addicts and the weapons used to kill come from the USA, stop their drug addicts and stop selling weapons to Mexico and then you can open your mouth.

    4. Nothing more dangerous than a pair of 6 month-old thugs - don't believe me? Try babysitting them. Lucky I made it out alive.

In all seriousness - this is sad and as an American, I feel bad for and am party embarrassed for the Mexican people who have been through and endured so much and deserve better - like ANY human being does.

While I understand the concept of eliminating the motivators that drive people to lives of crime by putting in place social programs that offer them a future that allows them to provide for their families and grow economically, 1) that is a very long-term (10-15+ years perhaps?) strategy that does nothing for the people burying their loved ones, and 2) it does not address the very real and scary reality that currently in Mexico, it appears that cartels have as much authority or more control over large parts of the country as the government does. Think about that - as much or more control than the government - sound familiar? See ISIS - who had control over large swaths of land in Syria and Iraq that amounted to the size of Great Britain.

Not saying I have answers but clearly the AMLO approach is not working - at this current rate - you all may not even exist as a state in the same manner 10-15 years from now to even be able to get to a point where you all could possibly see any payoff from AMLO's social programs (and I'm not even going to go into the the topic about whether such programs would even work [historically they usually either don't or work only to a degree much lower than anticipated or expected when the ideas were sold to the public via politicians during elections]).

    2. I'm not in a safe zone. I love 1/4 mile from mexico. So many sicarios cross by my house to get away while they fight in Mexico.

    3. And I'm not for a US invasion. But this needs to stop. Killing innocent people n kids is unacceptable. What if it was your family? I know Trump is talking to AMLO and in reality, I don't think anything will change as long as there is a demand Worldwide. God help the innocent.

    6. Yes the US has invaded n unfortunately civilian lives have been destroyed, but if you count the total bodies killed in Iraq or Afghanistan in the last 10 yrs it does not compare to the lives Mexico has lost in the last 2yrs. I still have nightmares from fighting in Rhamadi where I lost 2 of my guys. But that is war against the enemy. I never aimed and shot an innocent victim. It was them or me. In Mexico it's different. They are killing their own Raza not like when I did my tours. I was an infidel to them. I was in an international war. Luckily I had a good team. I only got shot in the left leg. But we never aimed to kill civilians. Peace n love to Mexico.

Want to help? Focus on lowering Drug Consumption in U.S. Want to help some more? Stop the ATF and Gun Law loopholes from systematically injecting high powered assault weapons to Mexico... Please help ☝️@realDonaldTrump

    1. Agreed 937. Guns go south so easily. What an embarrassment to my country (USA) Yet we consume a large portion of drugs. But, its world wide now. Look at the prices in Australia. Wow. A cartel makes 2000% more there pare gram.

      Delete
  11. Attention Idiots:

    1) the desire to consume drugs is not going to ever stop and no government can control the desires of the human heart.

    2) U.S. citizens are not the only ones who consume drugs. Drugs are consumed on every nation on earth.

    3) Suppose we pretend that U.S. consumption was absolutely 100% completely eliminated, what do you think the cartels would do? Stop selling? No stupid - they would continue selling to where the market demands take them - be it Europe, Asia, Africa, etc. - hint: kinda like they already are.

    4) Mexicans also consume drugs.

    5) Cartels are now not only in the business of pushing drugs - how many stories do you all read on this very site about kidnappings, abductions, sex trafficking, extortion of businesses, etc. If you think eliminating U.S. consumption would be the answer then your as fucking dumb as your president AMLO.

    1. Thank you. Cartels are all over the world now. Yes the US consumes a lot of drugs but the European market and Australian market are much more valuable. The markup is ridiculous.

  12. Mexico has the resources (oil, coal, shipping ports,) to self sustaining economy. Mexico is a beautiful country. The government is a shit show. The politicians have their hands in the cartels pockets, how is this not obvious? How is it the big cartels bully the police and the Mexican military? Get it together Mexico, take your country back. These cowards kill the innocent.

    1. 100% Agree - Mexico IS a beautiful country and it DOES have so much potential - all of which just makes the current crisis feel even worse.

    2. I also agree. I want to make a point. Cartels have gone into rehab centers and cold heartedly killed addicts trying to get better only cuz they weren't buying from their tiendas.

  13. Nothing justifies the loss of innocent lives. But the lebarons are known to be involved in a bunch of bad things. And sadly that comes with the fire if you play with it. And trump should worry about the demand of drugs the US has and his impeachment and all his dirty deeds instead of trying to stick his nose in this. And for everyone's information that ain't CDS territory its Juarez cartel land

  15. El cartel usa familias para controlar a los que necesitan para sucumbir a su modelo de negocio. No se equivoque, esto no fue un accidente, sino un acto intencional para enviar un mensaje a alguien que no está jugando bien con el cartel. Esta es una disputa territorial,
