Sinaloa: 230 elite troops arrive into Culiacán

Video translation is as follows

Ciro Gómez Leyva: A couple of hours ago 230 special forces soldiers belonging to the Mexican army arrived in Culiacán. They’ve come to reinforce the security functions after the very violent, the fearsome day of yesterday. In which Olivio Guzmán López, the son of El Chapo was detained and then freed.

Carlos Ramón Carillo: By directive decision of the President of the Republic. And by order of the general citizen Secretary of the National Defense, you have just seen at this moment the arrival of the first 230 elements that have come to reinforce the strategy of citizen protection here in Culiacán. This strategy is aimed at creating the security and tranquility conditions for the civilian population in this city. And to allow it to resume its commercial activities. As of this moment, as you have heard, this force that has just arrived by air here to military base # 10 is now integrated.

Female Reporter: Are you going directly against organized crime?

Carlos Ramón Carillo: No, we are going to protect the citizens
That is our mission.

Ciro Gómez Leyva: A clear demonstration of the strength of the Mexican army after the very sad and difficult day of yesterday.

    1. Chivis, have you seen the articles pointing out that back when El Chapo escaped prison for the second time, AMLO tweeted that Mexico cannot be seen as an embarrassment, and the security officials in charge of the whole thing should've resigned.

    2. Yup. Glad they at least did something though to reassert control. Terrible, terrible decision yesterday by AMLO administration (even if they had let Ovid go and AMLO had just shut his mouth and came back and hit them hard in a few days, it would have weathered better than this humiliation.

    3. This decision sets a terrible precedent. You cannot negotiate with terrorists

    4. Reassert control for the benefit of the cartels and Mexico’s elites??? Fuck the Mexican government for they forced my family to flee in search of a better life in the fucken USA!!!

  3. Protect the citizens, why not go after organized crime. It's just a show of force. Those supposed special units, should have long been dispatched to fight the overburden crime rate, also to catch the 14 cops killed, but no goes to other weak matters.

    2. MF please, narcos may have a couple deserters from special forces but most are low education drug runners. A fail operation by the planning stage. Next time remember that force +1. The arcos have high power weapons, bring joint light tactical with cannons and a couple black hacks to cover and extract targets... Its better to carry and not use than lack of tools for the mission.

    1. Are you confused? Just a minute before you said "hope they don't clash because theirs going to be death from both groups I just want peace all over mexico no more killing each other" Now you're saying only Navy seals are better trained than these Sinaloa espcial forces, no pinche mames buey. Sabes que, si se la mamás a tus "ídolos" al decir semejante pendejada. Que no les pongan traba a las fuerzas mexicanas y los van hacer cagada, pidiendo perdón por mantas y medios electrónicos.

  9. Nice to hear, but I question if they're actually going to be working to undermine the Sinaloa Cartel or if it's just a token gesture.

  10. Finally, someone to restore the law and order cause everyone is going crazy for a quarter. However, CDS is still the big fish in the ocean with vast resources and partnerships build over decades by its legendary leaders. Remember, Don Corleone advices Michael to play possum to make his enemies think their weak and vulnerable. Keep your friends close but your enemies closest. Michael takes the advice other Families get comfortable and than he whacks them all with a swift coup.

  11. It was a botched operation but those who understand Mexico know that if all levels of government were involved that house would have been empty. We see it posted on BB regularly. I hope the next time, with these reinforcements, the results will be different

  12. It’s like the fire department arriving after the arsonists put out the fire themselves.

AMLO and all you idiots who voted for him...

It’s time for the Mexican Senate and Congress to remove the incompetent President and replace him to for the military to take over.
