Chapos son[s] reported captured then released as cartel members get the upper hand

Calling family to say he is fine and released

In yesterday’s operation it was confirmed that the son of El Chapo, Ovidio Guzman Lopez, above, was captured.  It is now reported that two of Chapo’s sons were captured   Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar. Griselda López Pérez is Ovido's mother, Chapo’s second wife. [Reforma reports as of 1 hr ago it was one son]

Further reports are that both were released by the government. "facts" will come and change  in throughout the day. The government says his/their release was to safeguard citizens.

Stating that “other groups” were carrying out violent actions against citizenship in various parts of the city generating a panic situation”.

Thus causing the government to suspend actions.  “with the purpose of greater good for the integrity and safeguard of Culiacan Society, the officials of the security cabinet agreed to suspend  actions.

What is said from the ground is that the cartel had overthrown the military.  In the end the military is seen shaking hands with cartel members. See video below

Riodoce reported that at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, “a patrol composed of 30 elements of the National Guard and Sedena were carrying out a routine patrol at the Tres Ríos subdivision in Culiacan, Sinaloa, when they were attacked from a home. Patrol personnel repelled the aggression and took control of the house, locating four occupants inside.” One was El Chapo’s son.

Below in Sedena trucks appear cartel members carrying weapons

  1. Absolutely discusting that the mexican government would let him go. Now anytime a big name gets captured don't worry just turn the city to hell for a safe release.

    2. Or how Obama was paying billions to Irán to halt the enrichment of uranium yet the Iranians were still doing it lowkey...or how Bolton was wanting for us to stay on the side of the Communist YPG and keep attacking Turkey..talk about playing all sides, that's why the U.S is loosong credibility in the world stage. But you ignorants only see what you want or gives you pleasure and not reality. Shit even that pedo billionaire was freed yet they claim he committed suicide in prison. He had to much dirt on politicians both Dems and Reps.

    4. They released Ovidio in exchange for the military members that Los Chapitos kidnapped in response to Ovidio’s capture. Not that the government would ever admit that.

    5. 7:25 am. Don go around showing your ignorance as if it was a gold medal. Obama didn’t pay Iran nothing. The billions that you are taking about are frozen assets from way back. USA froze those billions and assets back in the 70s and 80s and 90s I think. Read a book.

  3. Christ. Say what you will about the Calderon and Pena Nieto administrations, at least the security forces actually followed through when they caught a cartel leader.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Calderon is the idiot who opened up this can of worms which then started this never ending war when there were better options on the table to deal with crime.

      Delete
    2. No doubt that there's a lot that Calderon could've done better, but at least he realized that Mexico couldn't just let criminal organizations operate with impunity.

      Delete
    3. I respect this a little bit more , acknowledge that the operation was a failure, let him go and live to fight another day and not double down and have a massacre on your hands.

      Delete
    4. 8:47 The problem with that perspective is that the cartel members live to fight another day too. Let me also point out that the main reason it was a failure was because they didn't capture their target.

      Delete
    5. Te falta información u por lo tanto tus deducciones no don correctas

  4. So now the cartels know if one of their leaders gets taken, they just need to start terrorizing, and killing civilians, and the Government will release them.

    1. That is exactly what I was thinking. It’s sad but true. I mean no offense to anyone’s believes when I say this but in France when they backed down on the fuel tax the Yellow Vest increased their protest. With ALMO doing this I think that this will now become a standard MO when a top boss gets arrested.

My real fear is that I strongly believe someone like Mencho would use a nuke or WMD on civilians to now avoid capture knowing that ALMO will back down. I really hope that I am wrong but I think this is going to get worse

      Delete
    2. You guys are ignorant they didn’t kill innocents and trust me menchos people don’t kill civilians and if they do they get dealt with only speak when you know the truth it’s been proven smaller cartels killed all those innocents to blame CJNG dumbasses

Second is all the body guards and destruction that happened minutes after the capture, why did nothing like this happen when they got el chapo? Are his son more important then him that they have more body guards and are more willing to rescue him then his dad? This is what happens to you hypocritical people from culiacan! Go march for these guys now so that they are left alone

    1. I could understand if you lived in Mexico but you dont, now with that being said....

Culiacan has long established drug roots. Probably the oldest throughout Mexico. That drug money finances legitimate work, whether it be restaurants, construction, farming, or even drug operations. If that cash flow is disrupted or attempted to be disrupted the public, (and I'm talking about Culiacan) is going to rise up... why? Because the Narcos create more jobs and bring in more money than the government does. If you kill the cash cow, (the drug trade) legitimate businesses will follow. Culiacan will turn into the rest of mexico. Poor and hopeless. You could call it dick riding but these are just the facts.

      Delete
    2. So the people of Culiacan agree that their innocent people should be killed to continue the Guzmán way of life??? Shut the whole city down and stay indoors because of drug money ??

    3. 6:32 that's where you're wrong. Sure you have crime in Culiacan and although this might seem like the same type of violence occurring in the rest of Mexico to the untrained eye, its different. The gunmen were not targeting the public, they were targeting the military. You'd be surprised at the percentage of people in Culiacan that approve of the drug trade. Culiacan is a narco state and the residents welcome it. Why? Because everyone gets payed.

This is the US trying to get Chapo's money. Nothing more. I'd bet after this fiasco, AMLO will reduce US agencies role, and input. The US is the one who instigated this, and almost caused a major international incident. They obviously seriously understimated CDS grip on Culiacan. I think this incident, and the Abuelo incident show just how engrained the Narco culture is in the Mexican population. 2cities now have basically repelled aggressions against their hometown cartels. That tells us allot. JMO
