The confrontations inside the prison are originated by two organized crime groups: the Cartel Jalisco New Generation and Los Rojos, military sources said.

Among the deceased, according to unofficial versions, are "El Cachetes" and "El Ray". Neighbors in the area report that smoke columns emitted from the prison, while the area is protected by the State Police.

"From the first moment, personnel of the Coordinated Command Police Morelos and the prison itself rushed to the upheaval. with support from the National Guard and Federal Police," the State Government said.

"Cuauhtémoc Blanco said that in Morelos nothing and no one can be above the law, so the authorities act with procedures and protocols attached to respect for human rights to guarantee the rule of law."

Family members of the prisoners threatened to block the highway and toll booths until they received an answer.

  1. Appalling that citizens resort to blockades and disobedience when they confront state / government officials. A norm nowadays in Mexico.
    Instead of confronting those criminals!

Just calling it like we all see it.

    4. Facts

Criminals in Texas are not paid for the prison labor they are required to participate in. ... Texas is one out of three states in the U.S. that does not pay their inmates for labor. It also happens to have the largest prison population in the country with a workforce that has been valued at nearly $2 billion a year.

    6. 6:09 - Don’t be so quick to call all inmates scum their sparky. The average American commits three felonies a day. So be prepared, you may too find yourself one day get caught up in our criminal justice system.
