Seven policemen in Durango killed in ambush-2 in serious condition

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat from Vanguardia   thank you BB follower

Durango, Durango. - Seven elements of the  State Police  died and two were injured early Thursday morning on the road to the town of  San Francisco de Ocotán , in the municipality of El Mezquital where they were ambushed by a large armed group.  The police force was formed with 11 elements.

It is not known if the law enforcement officers managed to repel the attack and if they caused casualties among the attackers, but after a few minutes they requested support.

State police,   crime Investigators  and military personnel went to the site of the events where they carry out the search of the members of the aggressor group.

Two dead, not seven, says the Governor

The governor of Durango, José Rosas Aispuro Torres  denied the information released by the  Ministry of Public Security  of the ambush, was incorrect.  He claims that there were two police officers who died and not seven, as well as four injured and not two.
[It is not uncommon for states and cities to downplay casualties of innocents and police agencies]

    4. I’m neither on the right or left but I think Democrats are becoming too extreme. Open borders, money for relatives of salves, benefits for illegals and all these other extreme ideas could turn America into Venezuela. If you want Socialism move to Venezuela or Cuba

    5. @5:37 maybe you should go to your safe space. Socialism is not left leaning it is extreme and a huge danger to America. I’m a Democrat and I believe Socialism would destroy our economy and society

    6. @1:14: I don't blame anyone at BB for this "off topic" post showing up. Chivis does a lot and can't be everywhere on weekends.

To the poster, I agree with you on AOC but stay on topic ... you'l be lots more effective.

About the cops killed. I tend to believe the worst versions of what happens in Mexico. But that's me.

    13. And why is it so wrong to acquire fairness? Why is it wrong to have Wall Street to dictate prices and labor costs for Americans?

    14. It’s annoying the back and forth between everyone. Most people on the right and left aren’t the extreme like 1:14. I don’t know many normal Democrats wanting Socialism as much as I don’t see people on the right wanting Trump to be a dictator. Problem is those extreme fringes on both sides just clog up all the air time with the socialism/dictatorship when in reality most people aren’t like that.

  2. Downplayed or not it is CDS controlled territory in Durango!
CDS must be getting desperate because of infighting it is shooting at police now as well as holding people as slaves to work for them like mentioned in another article here on BB!
Let's see what nutthuggers claim happened of which they most certaintly not claim it was CDS that does auch things.

    2. If cjng is teying to move into Durango then it must be very powerful to strike deep in the heart of CDS territory. CDS better star pulling some people out of Parral perhaps and loose Chihuahua which they only partially own if they do not want to loose the whole state of Durango.

  4. Meanwhile, Amlo looks for something to distract the public... like oh, there is a shortage of doctors 'That's why we need to fix the education system and give free university for medical students' (applause)

Maybe he means we need more doctors around to attend all the shootings going on.

  5. I got a feeling that this is going to be coming in waves attacks on police as the splintering happens and desperation for control becomes common.

  6. I have said it before and I'll say it again. Mexico has become, or is becoming a "Failed State." Probably already too late to save the country. What a pity!

  8. Umm yeah, all governments try to protect their country's rep and they will say and do whatever to minimize perception to outsiders.

A good example of how media twists perception would be reading about the same story from 2 different networks and how both tell the same facts but add energy, emotion and sometimes more grief through colorfully perceived words.

Lets say the story is this: "a man drowned after he jumped in a river because his child fell in."

CNN said: "A brave father drowned in the Wapsipinicon river while saving his young daughter this morning. John Sakoterdz was unfazed and without fear when he selflessly sacrificed himself to the river, so that his daughter, Jyna Ahrmfpittz Sakiterdz, could live out her life in his heroic memory."

Well, Fox News Network cuts right through the dramatic nonsense and tells the story like this: "Man, with history of child neglect and mental illness, drowns to death while attempting to save his daughter after she fell in. According to witnesses, the man allowed his child to climb on the boulders, which are covered in algae, unattended. She screamed as she fell in, and her dad, who was drunk, made a sad effort to save her. He was swept away and under the moment he jumped in. Miraculously, a camper managed to wade into the water at the shallow end and grab the child. She is recovering as we speak."

    PERCEPTION

  9. Fuken governor wants to cover up the true facts, of persons killed. Possibly in collusion with the cartel that ambushed the cops. And does not mention, once back up arrived, if uspects we're caught? Aren't they(backup) smart enough to establish a perimeter and kill the criminals on the spot.

    1. It's a shame how bad Tijuana got.. I am sorry, amigo.. :\

    2. Tijuana has become an absolute hell. I’ve honestly never seen so many drug addicts high on drugs running around like animals. Even in the middle of busy roads and streets. You have to be extra careful when you drive just to make sure you don’t run them over with your car. The air is polluted. Most streets / neighborhoods and dirty with trash dog poop human poop urine. It literally makes me sad... Tijuana has sooooooo much potential. Soooo many more people would visit Tijuana and spend money there and the economy could be incredible in Tijuana because they do have some amazing food and fun bars/clubs/restaurants. But I’ve now accepted that nothing is going to change in Tijuana. Nothing is going to change in Mexico honestly. Mexico has money but it will NEVER be spent on cleaning up the country nor providing resources to average Mexican citizens. Then people wonder why so many people in Mexico choose to join the drug business or launder money or earn money illegally. I still love the Mexican culture. I love the humble, hard working, friendly Mexicans who will break their back trying to help you even if they hardly know you. So many good beautiful people. Beautiful strong families. But the country itself will continue to be a huge land of crime and murder. Pretty sad.

    4. 10:38 the Tijuana penal colony is a couple of states and a big chunk of beach hard to control, imagine, the US can't control the one mile wide US Mexico Border between Califa and Baja, the peninsula would have to be a heaven for crime, reserved for only the prettiest of the pretty boys.
Crime anywhere can't subsist without official sponsorship or tolerance or both, preferred, the most programmed are the most successful.

    6. @ 10:28am Yea that’s really interesting because the reality is that if Tijuana police and government actually did something and made an effort and spent money to clean up the city it might just work. Instead of ignoring and enabling the problem. As long as I’ve been alive, I’ve never seen the USA government sit back and watch a city in America become as bad as Tijuana is right now.
