El Chapo's "701" clothing line website, can profits be seized?

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

This is the website for “701” El Chapo’s clothing line.   The clothing is for both men and women.

Chapo has a 12B forfeiture against him, and he is the principal owner of the clothing line, not Emma.  His attorney team assisted Chapo with the creation of the business.

I wondered if the profits made from the business can be seized. I turned to my most trusted legal source for guidance.  His reply:

“A federal lien such as that imposed on Chapo's assets applies to all assets. If Chapo is a principal in this business, then the feds can seize whatever property or property interest Chapo could claim. The reason I say "property interest" is that the federal lien applies both to tangible and intangible assets, so long as the intangible assets can be sold. So, for example, the feds can seize copyrights and trademarks, or take stock owned by Chapo. In short, if it can be turned into money, the feds can take it.”

  3. Just a question not speculation. How is he different than Whitey Bulger? If he did the same thing in Mexico. Using the authorities on his foe. How can anyone stomach that guy? Wearing the 701 label. Saw a video from Mexico, of young guys with that 701 cap. Don't they know they're worshipping a Bulger? Funny how much of chapo's enemies, were killed by Marines or law enforcement. It's like anyone who took him on, suddenly had Marines hunting them down. Or had the police on their asses. Yet Chapo remained untouched for so long.

    3. I see it like this you own your own company right you have employees that you pay to do a job. Well Chapo payed the higher ups in the military so they were his employees .so they got payed to do what they were supposed to do anyway every cartel dose this but everyone just thinks Chapo is the only one

    4. Whitey Bulger had a US Congressman brother and an FBI he corrupted in his pocket. he grew up a mafioso.
--Sinaloa drug traffickers were created by the CIA and had the whole Mexican government in their pocket orders of the Mexican DFS created by "Our Man In Mexico", Win Scott with help of his "Operation 40", they drafted bean farmer and orange vendor JAGL for their criminal enterprise of drug trafficking claiming all the way they were fighting communism in LatinAmerica, "their" alleged 'backyard' full of undesirable illegal aliens for thousands of years, even before the vikings first colonized Groenland or th Japanese colonized Peru.
--A lot of crimes have been committed under guise/excuse of fighting communism all over the Continent, even murdering Americans like JFK, MLK, Malcolm X and Tupac, and LatinAmericans like Allende, Colosio, Jaime Roldos, Sandino, Eliecer Gaytan, a few jesuits, their cook and her 15 year old daughter, nuns and all the Contras victims, etc, etc, etc...even Pancho Villa who never was a communist did not escape their hungry claws.
One difference is that el chapo now is in prison under different narcos and politicians on the US that once were his associates but after eating their own like fat Tony Salerno and John Gotti, are now Russian Puppets and Real Estate "moguls" dedicated to laundering money like Trump, Giulianni, McConnell, El Apache Arpaio (once upon a time a DEA agent), and BS like that.
--Their big boss Bladdermir Putin wants to be a friend to Mexico and LatinAmerica, he may get EL Chapo a presidential pardon, if for a million or a billion dollars, and a worthless label to make happy a racist greedy fake ass billionaire.
      "we'll see"

    5. 9:46am Yes sir. What they did to Noreaga, US investments in Colombia, what they are trying to do in Venezuela. US definitely detest Communism. One of the questions that is asked when someone becomes a resident. I remember they asked my girl.

    6. 11:40 Noriega was a Panamanian military and a capitalist drug trafficker and as big as they come, his sins were he would not sell out after his masters got his boss Omar Torrijos murdered, he was a little bit more Red, and communist, but there were designs on a PANAMA that had obtained canal autonomy, under the Reaganautas, even John Wayne wrote to Ronnie about how he could be so obtuse regarding Panama rights to their canal. Now the Canal is almost the exclusive property and the tax heaven of the smarter and bigger drug traffickers that kicked out Torrijos and Noriega, whose communism never was, they were SCHOOL OF THE AMERICAS GRADUATES. Panama papers exhibited some of the greediest shit going on there. So, don't try and feed me capitalist bullshit. about a communism or a Socialism that does not exist but in the feverish minds ot the rancid tea parties and Co. and that only to designate their persecution targets. The Accusers are the worst kind of people making shit up all over the place, even the Russians are not communist anymore chingadamadre! And the Chinese are only Socialist when it comes to paying the lowest salaries they can to their slave communist workers.
The evil these days is Authoritarian Oligarchs trying to steal our soup, the bowl and the spoons when they get us all back in their America Made Great Again for their Hitlerian Compact.

    1. With drug that’s called money laundering so drug lords can’t use the cash to build churches or schools but once the governments captured them they can use it to benefit themselves and use the drug money like how they used it to build Miami buildings etc etc lol it’s funny how people prefer a little man from Mexico as the biggest criminal but people have no interest in looking into or blaming the governments for crimes they play a role in .

    2. 8:06 no thanks, El Chapo drug trafficking make them a lot more money than that, but robbing the US off billions and billions of dollars for toothpaste and brushes and soap and "wall funds" for bonuses as extra taxes on top of their royal salaries and bonuses and retirement funds and pensions is where it's at.
The Nazis themselves never had it this good before, all they got was plenty of speed, aka amphetamines to run to get killed, today's addicts are just getting killed without a fight.

  12. Like it or not, Chapo was, is, and always will be a folk hero in Mexico, especially in Sinaloa and Sonora, which are like the Texas of Mexico. He may be a bad guy in a black hat from the country, but at least he's not a bad guy in a tailored suit from the city. Also like it or not, Chapo brought in way more money and resources to his pueblo from drug-trafficking profits than any IMF/World Bank-backed investment schemes from the Mexican government.

Like it or not, Chapo's "brand" will certainly last until his death, and will increase in value after his death.

In the USA, they sell padded bras to make women's breasts bigger. In Mexico, they sell padded panties to make women's butts look bigger. Chapo's designers better offer women's fashions to nalgonas who asspire to be nalgonsisimas and men's fashions to halcones who aspire to be Sicario 006!

Why didn't La Barbie offer his own fashion line with origninal designs instead of pimping Polo? What a naco LOL

    4. As of 2019 Badiraguato is still considered one of the most poor areas of Sinaloa and a descent job is rare, there is money but only for those on the illegal market and it stays in their pocket and the pockets of those politicians that "protect" them, but the people remain poor and it's their narco brain washed pride that keeps them happy and willing to be puppets of the narcos. Not saying the government is better I'm not taking sides, they're both guilty of the same thing just 2 ends of the same spectrum

  14. Just goes to show you he aint that smart . Played a vicious hard game but not a smart game . He will be very limited to how much he can have on his books in jail. Probably about $30 a month . Problem is with the slow trickle being put on through the years His significance will dwindle and he will eventually be forgotten. Just be another indigent broke inmate # XXXXXXX El Chapo . I just love a good ending .

    1. True, he didn't even tried to outsmart the USA he knew he can't go against the USA, He was smart in that area, but he fucked up thinking he was untouchable in Mexico that he can do as he wished and get away not thinking of the attention he attracted from the USA, he knew being the richest narco bought him freedom, but didn't expect the Americans to offer more for his capture.
