Assault on highway Tehuacán-Puebla video

Sol Prendido Borderland Beat from YT and econsulta

In the first minutes of this Friday a video began to circulate on social networks of a live  transmission on Facebook, where armed individuals try to assault a driver on the Puebla-Tehuacán highway.

Although there is no certainty about the origin of the video, social networks viralized the images recorded from the inside of a vehicle, apparently a truck, that circulated on that road at the height of the vicinity of the municipality of Tlacotepec de Benito Juárez.

The original video consists of just over 8 minutes of recording and it’s at minute one when you hear what appears to be a shot. Then you see a vehicle that tries to block the path of the truck.

The alleged aggressors fired several shots at the truck, they even try to block the exit at least three times, but with skill the driver manages to dodge the criminals. On the recording, the collisions between the truck and the villains car are heard.

Near minute four you can hear an explosion, where the criminals managed to shoot out the tires of the fleeing truck, as a last attempt to stop their victims.

The original video ends when the persecuted victims stop at a roadside establishment, a site that Internet users have identified as Tlacotepec. However, the authorities of that municipality and the Federal Police have confirmed that they have knowledge of an assault of this type in recent nights

Video translation is as follows:

Passenger: Son of a bitch!
Assaulters: Pull over, pull over, pull over!
Driver: Should I stop dude?
Passenger: No dude.
Driver: We just don’t know anymore.
Passenger: I have a fucking rifle, it’s a beretta.
Driver: Don’t fuck around. Go ahead and stand up then.
Passenger: Hold on a bit.
Driver: Go ahead, fire.
Passenger: Oh fuck!
Driver: We’re fucked now dude!
Passenger: Son of a bitch!
Driver: Who the fuck is watching this video?
Passenger: Whoever is watching this video they’re trying to steal out truck!
Driver: Whoever is watching this video they’re trying, they’re trying to steal out truck! Somebody, somebody!?!? Can you see the vehicle that’s in front? Fuck me dude. Now we’re fucked fool.
Passenger: Who are these guys?
Driver: What? It’s the same thing dude.

  1. Based on the sound of their voices these guys are Chilangos. They have that distinct way of talking, which just makes them easy to identify. Those guys are smart in that they’re always carrying a firearm for defense. Even if it is illegal. Had they not I’m sure they would’ve been screwed. But highway robbery happens a lot on Mexican roadways. Nowadays you just never know what nutcase you’re gonna run into. - Sol Prendido

    1. Yes looking at this video, it was a life in danger thing...had the victims been carrying, they could have killed the criminals.

  6. The translation I believe is incorrect. It sounded likethe passenger saying “he has a rifle alvga” the moment the car passes them the first time, then the gun shots to the wheels.
Just wanted to mention that bit.

As for the content in the video, it really makes me not want to drive my 19’ Chevy Camaro to visit los tios. México is not what it used to be smh.

    1. Could very well be true. Whenever there’s music playing it makes it harder to hear what all is actually being said. If there’s a program that can mute the music please let us know. - Sol Prendido

  8. Hell can't even drive a truck in Mexico, chances of it stolen are 90 percent. Getting the truck back is slim.

  10. Allowing citizens to carry arms will reduce crime activities a lot. At least citizens will die killing some criminals (read satan). If government fails to protect its citizens then citizens arm yourself (irrespective of legal/illegal), we know well someday we gonna die. When you die early make sure you take some of these criminals with you at least for the future safer Mexico.

    1. It would be better to implement real AutoDefensas, they worked very well for The Castro brothers in Cuba, in spite of getting No Check for their servicio voluntario a la Revolucion Cubana, they work for Maduro and Noriega
