El Chapo Trial: Vincente Zambada was the leader of a death squad

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat-thank you BB Follower-Frontera

A BB follower sent this 2015 article about a murder in 2000.  In the article it is pointed out that the murder was most likely attributed to Vincente Zambada, as leader of “Comando de la Muerto” [Death Squad].  He was 23 at the time.

The BB follower writes:
“Besides negotiating big loads of cocaine with Colombians, making deals with DEA agents and paying bribes to Mexican Military. He was also the one who put the Antrax group together in Culiacan. At a very young age he headed a hit squad in Tijuana when the Arellano Felix were in their prime.”

On the witness stand he says he never directly murdered anyone, but I wonder if it was a lack of knowledge that the defense did not ask him of his role in the death squad.

Frontera is a respected publication in Tijuana.
Article:

After 15 years they arrest a suspect in the murder of Alfredo de la Torre former municipal police and transit director.

The Municipal Public Security Secretarial [SSPM] reported that they arrested Rene Alejandro Moreno Sanchez, “El Pets” who had an arrest warrant since 2006.

The 38-year-old man was arrested on Saturday afternoon at Otay University on another charge but when authorities ran his identification the warrant was discovered for the murder of De la Torre.

On the morning of February 27, 2000, the director was shot in the Via Rapida Oriente on his way to police headquarters.  The murder was attributed to the so-called Sinaloa Cartel ’Comando de la muerte’.

He was shot hundreds of times by gunmen in three vehicles.

As the head of the ‘Comando de la Muerte’, Vicente Zambada Niebla, son of Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada Garcia was pointed to, while at the time authorities specified that the motive of the crime had been a war between Sinaloa and Tijuana cartels over the plaza.

  1. If the murder occurred Feb 2000 then he was 24. Idk how you order someone’s death and go on with life like nothing. 🤐 now (since he took the stand) we are finding out a lot about him. I thought he was nothing big. He will never pay for any death he ordered. Pero like my grandma used to say “hay algunos que nacen con suerte” 👍🏻 allá el y su conciencia. Tan lindo y tan cruel.

    2. 2:08-Like you say he will never pay for the deaths he ordered but the ones he ordered to perform them {like as if they had a choice} will pay.Just like the Prince in Saudi will also never pay for that journalist's murder in their Embassy but the 15 that were ordered to perform the assassination will pay.Total impunity!Pisses me off.

    8. None at all- winter gas has less chemicals in it- the reason for gas being cheaper has nothing to do with us/saudi arabia making some type of deal- do you really think that what your implying would get us regular folk CHEAPER GAS??NO- they would just have the saudis give them money or something similar- im sure you know already, but trump and the people at the top could care less about any of us

    9. Mayo Jr. Doesn't 100 billion a year in arms like Saudi’s. But thats just off topic. Lets stick to Zambada Jr... He’ll pay in this life or the next!!!

  3. Commando de la Muerte was the code name for the Antrax Black Ops sweeper team. These operatives were trained by British SAS in urban warfare and Krav Maga martial arts from a Mossad rogue agent working in Sinaloa .

The only thing they where trained in was to inhale cocaine when their is a major battle so they will not run like the punks they are when the shooting starts. But good joke though.

    2. The original comando de la muerte is the first cdg death squad formed by Juan Garcia Abrego before de zetas.

    1. It doesnt take balls of steel to coordinate and send a hit squad to another state to murder a municipal police chief. I guarantee you that the AFO brothers didnt even know that it was VZN who ordered the hit. They must of known it was Sinaloa but who pressed that button , no idea. That was the only time Vicente dared to chase that AFO dragon.

  5. Pussy. He could not go personally on his own feet to la Tia so he sent some goons to assassinate De La Torre and heat up the plaza. De La Torre was compadre with Ismael El Mayel Higuera during that era.He met personally with CAF top brass. The commando de muerte was extracted from Tijuana as soon as Ramon heard about it. They didnt even last 6 months, when they got rounded up and met their fate except for that guy. The US government had to nip the AF brothers in a bud so Sinaloa can infiltrate TJ plaza. But while Min and Mon were active, no chance.

  11. The only ones that are coming up in the Chapo trial are the Zambadas. All of them will be out of jail soon due to their snitching. I dont doubt that Mayo works closely with the MX and US governments. Mayo has the motives and means to give up his compadre. I wonder what the relationship is between the Chapitos and Mayo.

Soon after he had to run away because the Arellano were trying to kill his ass. The Arellano kidnapp Vicentillos sicarios and kill them.

  18. Chivis I know you are working with 3 hands here but I posted some real comments about this situation. My comments were not published. But I give you benefit of the doubt. Bottomline , Vicente's commando de muerte was extracted and disappeared from Tijuana within 6 months of them assassinating De La Torre. CAF flexed muscle and Vicente retreated. De La Torre was compadre with Ismael Higuera El Mayel and Don Chuy Labra reason for the execution and to also bring inside turmoil to the plaza. Vicente failed miserably in infiltrating and penetrating Arellano's turf. RA would have personally slapped the taste out of Vicente's mouth just for disrespecting the plaza

  20. Listen even if they snitch these guys are done for life. They’ll be put into witness protection after a 20 year prison sentence only to get out and serve as a car salesman or a janitor.. they will be drowned in legal fees for the rest of eternity as well as spend the remainder of their life living their miserable existence in fear that at any moment somebody is going to show up and cut them into pieces.. even in the states. The best sort of deal these guys are looking towards is the one that allows to once again breath the fresh air of freedom.. and the it is for them, the air will never be as fresh or free as they had once had it.. that in itself can be a punishment worse then death.

  21. Some of you act like snitching isn’t a smart thing to do, that there is some honor code in the streets of Mexico that mimics American “gangsta” standards.. no man... when it comes down to it, most of these guys snitch because if they don’t then the guy/group they could’ve snitched out is just going to kill them either way. It wouldn’t matter.. but I know that there’s criminals like Chapo or Mencho that people end up looking up to as heroes and get hit with the realization that these guys are nothing but vulnerable human-beings who when stripped of all their gold, toys, and soldiers are nothing but a common housewife.
