The armed conflict led by criminal groups that dispute the production of heroin in the Sierra de Guerrero was publicly displayed in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, where narcomantas were placed in which the former PRD governor, Ángel Aguirre Rivero and the PRI local deputy Olaguer Hernandez Flores are accused of alleged links with narcos.

Official reports indicate that this morning two blankets were found in public places located on Adolfo López Mateos Avenue and Lázaro Cárdenas Road, as well as in the municipality of Zapopan.

The message is addressed to the secretary of Public Security of the federal government, Alfonso Durazo and the attorney general, Alejandro Gertz, and point out that in the states of Guerrero, Oaxaca, Morelos, Puebla and Jalisco, criminal gangs operate under the protection of political figures and that they are in charge of distributing narcotics to the United States and European countries.
They immediately accuse alleged criminals identified as Omar Cuenca El Niño Popis ; Santiago Mazari Hernández, El Carrete ; Zenén Nava Sánchez, El Chaparro ; Juán Castillo Gómez, El Teniente ; Onesimo Marquina Chapa, El Necho ; Javier Marquina Chapa, El Barbas ; Humberto Moreno, El Comunitario ; José Hernández Flores, El Mocho and the local PRI deputy of Guerrero, Olaguer Hernández Flores.

They even refer that the former mayor of Tlacotepec and twice a local deputy of the PRI, Olaguer Hernández and the alleged criminals mentioned, are leaders of the community police in different municipalities of Guerrero and that they would respond to the command of El Niño Popis .

Those responsible for the message say that the people who refer to the Guerreros Unidos group and the ex-governor Ángel Aguirre Rivero are responsible for the massacre and disappearance of the 43 Ayotzinapa normalistas.

In November 2014, the newspaper Reforma published an article where it was reported that the alleged leader of Guerreros Unidos, Sidronio Casarrubias Salgado had declared before the Attorney General's Office (PGR), that Omar Cuenca Ramírez, El Niño Popis had become the new head of the criminal organization of Los Rojos.

Casarrubias told the Public Prosecutor's Office that El Niño Popis is protected by elements of the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Public Security Secretariat of Guerrero and that on the day that the disappearance of the 43 normalistas occurred, he had sent a group of assassins to Iguala.

Last November, the armed conflict between criminal groups of Chichihualco and Tlacotepec in the Sierra de Guerrero, spread to Mexico City where narcomantas were placed with a message addressed to President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador and in which they accused the PRI governor Hector Astudillo Flores of providing alleged protection to a supposed criminal network that involves politicians and state officials and military leaders.

The text of the message appeared signed by "the citizens of Guerrero" and called on President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to intervene in the armed conflict in the Sierra, where criminal groups are  disputing control of the mining strip and poppy cultivation.

The mantas mentioned "the corrupt who govern the state of Guerrero, starting with the governor and his political collaborators and armed wing."

Two months later, the mantas were placed, referring to the same armed conflict that exists in the Sierra de Guerrero, but now in the city of Guadalajara.

  2. They say the Politicians are involved because that's who these criminals turn to and when the politicians favour others they obviously don't like 'waiting their turn' for an opening or going elsewhere where there is an opening.Hey at least the Politicians aren't all the criminal groups leading them to believe they are the only 1's that can operate.Maybe the Politicians have learned that lesson about being a 'triple agent.'

  4. Thanks El Profe:
Given other info accumulated over time on Mexican affairs and relationships with criminal elements, I guess the info has some truth value. How much truth value? Could it be 2%, 10%, 30 %, 50% ,70% or 90%??

I am curious to know what our community of well informed BB readers think about the accusations. So I look forward to their posts on this important topic.

  5. What does Guadalajara have to do with any of it if Guerreros Unidos where created to try and kick out CJNG of Guerrero, and Los Rojos are also not involved with CJNG and both do not have major operations in Jalisco. I doubt the conflict spread because the mantas, instead the fact that the mantas are from the "citizens" and not the narcos, it's probably the so called citizens that are spreading, theyre spreading their allegations in order to be heard.

    1. Most likely somebody who got kicked out of the organization or is in hiding. Is angry so is pointing, soft snitching. Many cartels operate in Guadalajara so as to bring CJNG into this without any proof is just an assumption. Mexico is screwed 10000%. Forget what the manta says. The good are outnumbered and overpowered by the evil. Lets hope Chicharito makes more goals to unite the country with flags and patriotism as we anxiously await the next world cup.

  7. A criminal group complaining that the corrupt politicans aren't supporting them. Maybe not enough pesos putas?

  8. Considering the sad fact that only 3% of Mexicans arrested are actually tried in court and found guilty and sent to prison, these crooked politicians/police have little to fear even if exposed. Sadly, the Mexican people are either ignorant to this lax enforcement of their laws or have become immune to the corruption and have accepted it as the norm.

  9. Nothing to hear to really comment on.
Same PR accusations of how it works in Mexico.
One group being favored by another due to complicity.

If AMLO can't reverse this problematic government behavior practices. A new government will be in orde. Like Venezuela.

  10. Is any one of them being extradited to face charges in the United States?
