Z-40’s US Extradition Postponed

Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: Vanguardia

The leader of the criminal group , Los Zetas, alleged in the amparo lawsuit that he still has pending cases in Mexico.

December 21, 2018:

Sentencing judge postpones extradition to the US for Miguel Ángel Treviño, ''El Z-40'', grants Amparo. Consequently, even as the judge analyzes whether or not it is legal to surrender the main leader of "Los Zetas", extradition can not be executed.

CDMX:  A federal judge has frozen, for the time being, the extradition of Miguel Ángel Treviño Morales "El Z-40" to the United States, where he has pending criminal proceedings for drug trafficking and "laundering" money.

The Eighth District Judge of Amparo in criminal matters granted the suspension of the plan to the "exile" claimed by Treviño Morales as a result of the extradition process that is in process.

In his application for amparo " El Z-40" he argued that he still has pending several criminal proceedings against him in Mexico, all in the investigation stage and one in which in the coming months sentence could be issued.

"The act considered damaging to the human facts of the complainant today is the order to banish him from the country under the argument of temporarily extraditing him to the requesting state, without complying with the extremes contemplated in Article 15 of the international extradition treaty signed between Mexico and the United States, this is because it still has pending lawsuits to be resolved in Mexico, and no condemnatory or acquittal has been handed down in any of them, " he said in his complaint.

  1. I will be surprised if they extradite him too the US. Mexico does not want another embarrassing trail to make them look bad. They should not have let chapo go!

    1. You are correct. There can be more embarrassment for Mexico.
Question is? Whether Mexican officials will grant the extradition to just rid Z40. Knowing that no Mexican government official can be prosecuted / extradited to a foreign country for their crimes.
      Basically IMMUNITY.

      Unless wrong

    1. Agreed. I can't think of any narco who was as sadistic and truly evil as this guy. And the fact that I say he is even worse than Mencho says alot. I'm sure the U.S has a nice cell ready in ADX Supermax for him to rot for the rest of his miserable life

    2. He was worse than a terrorist. He killed people for fun. By the thousands reportedly. I have followed this war for over a decade, and he was always the creepiest. I can't wait for him to be extradited.

    3. You guys need to stay up to date. an investigation by universal and other prestigious media debunked the myth and hype finding lazca was in charge of killings not z40. in fact he was not even charged with conspiracy for years.

Even the killing of lalo was ordered by lazca. his best friend the squirrel said lazca told jhim "I took care of the nephew"

as for the amparos. all the trevinos have them as i reported when they won them in amparo court. his sister and niece as well.

when the 72 migants were slaughtered, it was 40 who had the perps killed and dumped with a message. the killers were to
kidnap and recruit and had no orders to kill.

      http://www.borderlandbeat.com/2012/11/ei-lazca-i-took-care-of-nephew.html

when kiko entered Zs as the enforcer omar and miguel kept him under their thumb because he was blood thirsty as lazca. but when they were arrested kiko went wild.

notice when lazca was killed, the showy brutal murders stopped. that was because the brothers put a stop to them until arrested.

Zetas ran coahuila since the day I set up my offices there. there is nothing i know more abut than them. in fact i told DD that 40 was in sabinas a week before he was captured right outside sabinas on the way to NL to see his new baby.

when you live and work on the ground you don't feed into the biosphere hype, you see things with your own eyes.

    4. Great info as always Chivis. Respectfully, however, 40 was not a nice person and what you wrote above only reports that he was less evil than Lazca but still evil.

    5. absolutely correct he is not a good guy, but I expect our followers to know particulars. Lazca was head of enforcement and 40 drugs. Lazca had the military background so it made sense plus he was cold hearted. squirrel also said lazca regretted making the chapel as he did not believe in giving gifts for the hearts and minds of people. like osiel

    6. Dame chivis you even know about the kid you must know people close to him ... 40 was always about the business even when they were with cdg he was in charge of collecting the money from all over the country ... and contrary to popular belief he sold drugs before he and his brother were recruited by osile himself mainly out of dallas not car washers as el Chapo made it seem on those mantas

    7. If not mistaking z40 was the one that gave the order to kill n dismemeber that lil 7 year old girl in front of her parents...

      Delete
    8. Thanks for this Chivis. I had heard that 40 killed for sheer entertainment, even randomly murdering people on the street for fun. Reportedly he had to kill to be able to sleep. But a lot of that is unsubstantiated.

I know Lazca was as bad or worse when it came to killing for entertainment, he reportedly liked killing children and even animals. He also reportedly liked doing experiments on people and using different killing methods. Lazca was an animal.

    9. Chivis- how was osiel cardenas guillen?

    10. did not happen and neither the boiling babies. when he was arrested there was not one murder charge. i believe later he was charged in conspiracy but even that i am not sure. he easily attained his amparo.

    11. at 2:44, sadly I do. They only thing is I heard it was a boy but later read it was a girl. I still don't know, but suppose it makes little difference. I think most people now know about the baby, but at the time few did, except intelligence. The baby lived in a town right outside NL, near Anahuac on a back access road. I think my office at the time was near 5 springs. and I knew Lalo. He was such a sweet cool kid. he was a love child but to his credit humerto acknowledged him. Lalo never lived in saltillo with his father he lived in acuna with his mother.

40 was not educated but very smart.

People can believe it or believe the myth, but he and omar temped the killings. see how they stopped after lazca? and they know that kiko could be the same so they watched over him, but when they were arrested kiko went wild. the biggest strategic mistake was appointing kiko. they wanted family. and look what happened.

    12. I have always wondered how dangerous it really is to go to MX. I see these news and the travel warnings yet I don't know anyone who takes either one serious. See, you had offices where a criminal group is set up yet you DONT SEEM afraid of working there. Is it true that if you arent in the "business" you can visit freely?

I really wanna go so I'd like to hear "the truth" (lack of better expression) from someone who has lived in MX not the US govt.

    2. This guy Z40 was captured by Mexican military people.
Chapo on the other hand was captured and escorted by American DEA agents covering their faces.
This is the reason Z40 was not manhandled like Chapo.

I, actualy met Miguel back in 2004, did not know who he was untill bout 2012 but i, i met him in NL. He was a cool and fair guy and I, was a gringo a Canadian but he treated me well. First his crew screwed me over but once I met him I, was allright and he told his prople to treat me good.

I know he aint an angel but he isnt as the media portrey him. I only delt with him for a few months but I had no problems anywhere and anyyime in Nuevo Laredo. I had an apartment in NL and I was fine.

      Just my two cents...

Also Miguel. Thats how we greated each orher.

I’m from Nuevo Laredo, i haven’t just lived here for “a few months” and let me tell you something: don’t think that you can judge someone for having dealt with him for “a few months”. The zetas ARE vermins, and Z40 is one of the worst even if it’s true some things have been exaggerated.

    1. 40 has the respect of no one. He may be feared, but respected??? No. I've said before the video of him walking with no cuffs, was inside a gov facility surrounded by armed men. He wasn't going anywhere. Without his goons, and Ak and grenades, he's nobody. Put him in a ring with boxing gloves on, by the look of his physique, most of us could take him out in 2 rounds or less.
