El Chapo Trial: "Chapo ordered me killed four times"

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

Just before trial there was a mysterious filing by the prosecution regarding two witnesses. The redacted motion asked that hyper security be given for two witnesses, who expressed fear of testifying. Apparently, one witness is living a new clean life “where no one knows of my past” or “who I used to work for”.

Special security measures were granted for these two witnesses, and based on what Miguel Martinez testified to on the stand today, I believe he is one of the two cooperative witnesses addressed in the filing. [see ruling at bottom]

Says Martinez; “When I was fighting for my extradition,  I never mentioned Mr. Guzman  and I never failed him, never stole from him, never betrayed him, I watched over his family, and what I received in return from him, was four attempted [murder] attacks against me. ”Speaking with respect to the 4 murder attempts he continues; “Can you imagine how many more I will receive?”

I understand he looks far different than the 28 years ago when the image was taken that I have posted.  Apart from being older, supposedly he is no long “Gordo”.

I believe without these extra precautions, Martinez would not have testified.

Although he says essentially he signed on as a witness for life in his plea deal,  clearly this is one trial he wanted no part of.

Guadalupe Fernandez Valencia, El Chapo’s money person in charge of drug money transferred from U.S. to Mexico, has postponed her plea hearing to January 2019.  She would be an important witness in testifying about the money laundering process.
Honorable Ruben Castillo: as to Guadalupe Fernandez Valencia: Parties' request to reset the change of plea hearing is granted. The change of plea hearing is reset to 1/15/2019 at 10:30 a.m. In the interest of justice, for the complexity of the case, and by agreement between the parties, time is excluded until 1/15/2019.
In 2016 her brother Manuel aka” la puerca” pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute controlled substances in 2015. A 324 month sentence was imposed  in federal court. As part of his plea deal, Fernandez-Valencia admitted to working with twin brothers Pedro and Margarito Flores to distribute cocaine in the fall of 2008 through the twins' Chicago-based distribution network for the two Mexican cartels. Cocaine was bought in South America and delivered to Fernandez-Valencia in northwest Mexico, who smuggled it into the United States.

The Flores brothers are serving a 14-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to federal drug charges in 2012.  I suspect 3 of these plea dealers will testify in the trial of El Chapo. Maybe all four.

Later  I will post trial highlights from today....

Plus this guy Miguel knew too much information.

  2. When all this is over I will definitely see the movie or the documentary on chapos life I haven’t been a big fan of his past documentaries or series we all know in one way or another how he got to where he is now and all we see on tv is the same thing over and over. This trial is giving up interesting things we most don’t know all his Buddy's coming up and testifying is insane, reminds me of cartel de Los sapos. Chapo will be an example of what to come for future kingpins as he is the first one to be sentenced with this magnitude of power the first one was going to be Pablo but he decided it wasn’t gonna be him. If chapos sentence comes through then mencho better hit it off with the federales when he is Surrounded unless he knows is a guarantee he will do time in Mexico like caro,Fonseca and gallardo.
It seams that aslong you are paying piso to the government running your empire with out Mayham and violence you’ll get to live free with no one after you. Yes I believe mayo, azul and much others that we don’t know about are still in the game becuse of this But ones you get greedy and want to take mexico to your own then your just asking for it.

  6. These people deserve any retaliation coming their way for being two faced pieces of shit who couldn’t take the time being levied against them. And before any rightious pos comments, I could care less what chapo is or did good or bad. These people stepped into the arena and gave their word not keep their mouth shut should heat come their way. Most did shady shit along the way along with Chapo. They don’t deserve mercy. Again miss me with the rightious bs the US and mexican governments are just as crooked if not more so for anyone to side with righy vs wrong you’re just a hypocrite in my book.

    1. 3:52, the problem with your thinking is that you make those people noble and righteous, or at the very least as solid people. Well, let me tell you-they are NOT! Even by the definition of who they are “criminals”, they can not be solid and all that stuff. This is not a hollywood movie where a criminal is a rigteous and just person, this is life my confused friend. They all snitch, they all back stab, they all double cross, they all do that, so, you cant expect them to all of a sudden follow some kind of solid criminal code made up by hollywood. This is what they do, and snitiching and cooperating with the law is a part of being a criminal. Also, at that level they can operate only if they work with the law, otherwise they get shut down.

    5. 3:52 would be doing the same thing. There’s not a single person reading this forum that wouldn’t rat out little shorty if they could. Every “witness” in this trail knows he ain’t worth going down for. Shorty would be doing the same thing to all of them to save his own a$$. Whether they are free to be in the drug trade or behind bars....it’s every man for himself.

  13. 3:52 Apparently you did not read the part about Chapo ordering a hit on him 4 times, after being faithful to him. Maybe Chapo should have lived up to his creed and not tried to kill a man that was a good lap dog and did not do anything to hurt Chapo. I would say Chapo failed him first.

However I wasn’t facing life in prison without the possibility of parole and I will admit that would’ve made a difference for me I don’t think I can look back and say what I would’ve done but there’s a big difference between doing a few years in spending the rest of your life in prison which is exactly what the pilot was pacing and according to him along with the wrath of El Chapo Your former boss now trying to kill you, and more than likely you’re probably some good reasons but if I had some bad MF’s Working for El Chapo trying to kill me I’ll be honest I’d go into witness protection to

  17. One thing I will tell you is if you spent long enough in the dope business You will learn that it’s every man for himself in this day and age. Many many years ago there was more of an honor among drug traffickers. In the days of Pablo Acosta, and the early days of Felix Gallardo, Who in reference to one of the post above is the original OG Mexican drug trafficker and he was the largest drug trafficker in the world not Pablo Escobar who wasn’t even the leader of the Medellin cartel that was the Ochoa’s specifically old man Ochoa.

Back in the days of non-violent plazas-For the most part anyway, Acosta could be pretty violent, which is ultimately what led to his downfall and death, Drug traffickers if caught kept their mouth shut and did their time; But today the feds and LE have Rico in their ammo box and it’s a powerful tool to get people to talk.

Ultimately it came down to are you willing to go to Prison for life and keep your mouth shut, or do you want to talk get your charges reduced get some leniency and maybe walk completely or do very little time. drug traffickers these days seem to always choose the latter.

And in a business where are you are trusting criminals and other nefarious characters associated with the drug trade because of the money to expect any type of loyalty or honesty out of these people is naiveté at its highest.

And in a business where there will always be fronting and money laundering and tactics that make it necessary for people to trust other people with large amounts of cash, large amounts of narcotics, Businesses and properties in other peoples names you were always going to have dishonesty, betrayal and the subsequent chaos that is the nature and culture of narco world.

More Specifically like ending up in jail for life with no chance of parole, or death— both our today’s narcotrafficker’s ultimate destination

My wish is that El Chapo’s trial serves two purposes. First perhaps it will discourage some young people from getting involved in drug trafficking, Unfortunately it will probably do the opposite.

Secondly I hope that the general US population will see the futility and utter wastefulness of the drug war. And that this will move the US in the direction of decriminalizing all drugs, And allowing for more states to follow in the direction of legal medical cannibas in all of the US.

Despite what's an inevitable outcome for most who are in the drug game. Its greed, financial circumstances and just bad choices for many to continue to engage. To apply ones full potential in a positive and productive manner is not within grasp for those who are idled.
