Another Tijuana, BC Weekend: 15 Murdered

From Friday night, Nov 9 to Sunday Nov 11 at 11 pm at night, 15 intentional homicides were counted in Tijuana. Burnt bodies, men executed on public roads or inside homes and others who lost their lives when they arrived at the hospital, are some of the cases.

The first event was recorded on Friday 9 at 11:22, when a man of approximately 55 years was found strangled inside a canal, located on Ahome Street in the Campestre Murúa neighborhood. The body was wrapped in a blanket.

While at 6:30 in the afternoon, a couple was found executed on Cedros and Molino street in the Las Torres neighborhood, where four 9-millimeter casings were located.

Almost at the same time, a man died in the facilities of the Red Cross in the delegation La Presa, after they attacked him with bullets in the La Morita neighborhood and  he arrived by his own means to the medical institution. He was found lifeless in the parking lot of the place.

Around 7:30 in the afternoon, a man was executed inside an Oldsmobile vehicle, located in front of an address marked with number 5351 of Second Union Street in the Delegación Playas de Tijuana. Authorities located five .40 caliber casings on the site.

Shortly after, at 8:20 at night, police found the body of a man without life on the Casuarinas Boulevard of the Riveras del Bosque subdivision, La Presa delegation. The victim of approximately 20 years had a shot in the abdomen. Staff of Expert Services of the Attorney General's Office of the State (PGJE) collected two casings and a bullet from the place.

The following day, on Saturday, November 10 at 10:00 in the morning, a man was found in an advanced state of putrefaction on a dirt road in Ejido Lázaro Cárdenas in the San Antonio de los Buenos delegation.

Later, at 6:19 in the afternoon, a man with wounds caused by gunfire was found dead. He had a gunshot wound, it is estimated that he was 25 years old. In the place were found five free casings 45 8:45 pm, the bodies of two burned men were found on a mattress on Calle Cuatro corner January 6 in  the Ejido Francisco Villa.

In the early hours of Sunday, November 11, at 1:30, a man without life was located in the street Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla of the Independencia neighborhood in the downtown area. He was wrapped in a brown blanket fastened with a black cord.

Hours later, at 6:50, a man was found lying on the Centennial street of Colonia Amparo Sánchez in the Sánchez Taboada delegation. He had a head injury caused by a firearm and half of his body was covered with a blanket. It is estimated that he was approximately 30 years old.

At 10:00 in the morning, a patient died at the General Hospital. The man, identified as Pedro Alonso Martínez Herrera, 21, had entered the site a day earlier with injuries caused by firearms.

That same day, at 4:40 in the afternoon, municipal police received the report of armed individuals who had entered a house located at Privada Los Alcatraces number 25365 of the Residencial del Bosque neighborhood in the La Presa delegation.

Upon attending the report, they found a man without life, who was wrapped in a beige cloth fastened with plastic tape. On a table, was a long gun type shotgun with a useful cartridge. Although the victim has not been identified, he was approximately 25 years old.

A 45-year-old man was killed when he was wounded in the head when they fired on him in a building with the number 22526 of the Mayas Calzada, Col Mariano Matamoros Sur, Delegación La Presa, at 6:30 in the afternoon. Six caliber .40 calipers were found in the place.

At 7:30 in the afternoon, inside a house located in Paseo de la Montaña number 1321 of the Los Laureles neighborhood in Playas de Tijuana, a man who was watching television was attacked with bullets and lost his life. Three .40 caliber casings were located in the place.

Finally, at 11:00 o'clock in the evening, in a room of a house located on February 2, 11792, in the neighborhood of Mariano Matamoros Norte, a man without a gun was found dead. The victim was identified as Norberto Rafael Rivera León, 20 years old.
