Hurricane Willa donations arrives with "El Chapo" initials JGL

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat-thank you the guy who knows nothing photos from LD

In September, at least 15 people were killed when flash floods hit the states of Sinaloa and Michoacán. Last week, 11 more people died in Oaxaca, including seven children.  People of Sinaloa were outraged at the lack of assistance provided by the government.

Infuriating residents further, was the state government gift of disgusting dirty used mattresses. [at left]

Most of the donations have been from private entities and foundations.

More devastation is on the way.

Mexico is bracing for the devastating impact of Hurricane Willa, which reached a category 5 and is heading for its Pacific coast, somewhere around Mazatlán today or tonight,  where it is expected to hit with potentially deadly wind and flooding.
A Borderland Beat reader sent in an article about relief supplies arriving with the initials of “JGL” or Joaquín Guzmán Loera aka “El Chapo”.

Furthermore, his relatives in Sinaloa confirm the story.

In the areas where the government sent used filthy mattresses, trucks arrived bearing donations including new mattresses and electric grills.

- Sol Prendido

    3. 8:56 I never said he was a saint genius. We all do business for our own reasons. And if the government isn’t willing to or can’t represent its people, guess what? Others will gladly fill that void. And that is where the division starts for everyone involved. You can’t ignore your clients and expect them to just keep their arms crossed waiting on you. - Sol Prendido

  2. What better way to gain sympathy and support for any criminal organizations than relief to its citizens when its direly needed. Many criminal and terrorist groups use this tactic to gain trust on their behalf.
Legitimate relief organizations can't be trusted nowadays. Much less government!

    1. 10:37 Its the same Strategy used by the US they were one of the first to do this on a mass scale. Foreign Aid where a few million dollars out of the 10 million are used on the population in order to favor a pro American government in said nation. That Government then allows American military bases or corporations into that nation. For example the reforms Pena Nieto made are reforms that in 5 years will show what nation supported and financed those reforms by the Amount of new land, factories etc. that country has in said nation.

I will give the Sinaloas credit they don't normally mess with the people at least in their home state. Badiraguato is the way it is because the Sinaloas did invest money into that town.

    1. Great mitigation evidence for his upcoming sentencing hearing. See how he helps the poor masses. Such a pillar of the community.

  4. This obviously wasn't El Chapo directly since he is not allowed to communicate, more then likely someone on his behalf. Mayo or the sons, or an old faithful lieutenant would be my guess.

  12. I doubt the people of Sinaloa care if y'all approve or not of this, they have clean mattresses, and other amenities. Theyre happy. Just be glad these poor folks have at least this much in preparation for the storm.
