El Gafe or "Cucho" CDN Leader arrested in Nuevo León

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat from PGJE [attorney General of Tamaulipas]

I don’t have details other than his arrest transpired in Nuevo León yesterday

Working in conjunction, Tamaulipas police officers and their counterparts in New Leon arrested Juan Alfonso Vasquez Canto, a man better known by the nicknames "El Gafe or Chucho." Authorities transferred El Gafe to Tamaulipas where he is expected to go before a state judge.

The government of Tamaulipas located Vázquez Canto as one of the most wanted criminals and had offered 2 million pesos in reward for his capture.

Notice from PGJE

The Attorney General of Tamaulipas, executed an arrest warrant against Juan Alfonso "N", alias "Gafe and / or Chucho", for the crimes of extortion and criminal association. Agents of the Investigating Police carried out the arrest of the accused in collaboration with the Delegation of the Attorney General of the Republic in the state of Nuevo León.

In the next hours Juan Alfonso "N", aka "Gafe y / o Chucho", will be placed at the disposal of a Control Judge in the state of Tamaulipas who will define his legal situation. It should be noted that the accused, is the sixth of the individuals captured this year, who were on the list of most wanted by the State Government. With this type of actions, the Government of Tamaulipas, through the Attorney General of the State, reaffirms its commitment to collaborate with institutions at all levels of government to prosecute and punish all those who violate the patrimony, the peace and security of the Tamaulipec.

  1. Arrest, detention and of course, release. Mexican justice of immunity and impunity to continue as mass murderers. A real license to kill.

  2. Won't be imprisoned more than a month before Mexico's corrupt judicial system suddenly releases him due to lack of evidence! Only 2% of jailed criminals ever get prosecuted and put in prison in this third world country and those poor bastards just didn't pay off the right people.
