Tamps: 257 Marinas Being Investigated for Disappearances

Translated by Yaqui for Borderland Beat from: Debate and Milenio

257 Marines Suspected in Forced Disappearances in Tamaulipas

Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas

257 elements of the Ministry of the Navy are investigated and are available to administrative, ministerial authorities and the National Commission of Human Rights for the alleged forced disappearance of 36 people in Nuevo Laredo , Tamaulipas, which occurred between February and May of this year.

A total of 257 agents , including 3 Captains, 24 Officers and 230 rank and file Marines who carried out operations in this Tamaulipas municipality are now  concentrated in Mexico City by the Semar , until the responsibilities for the allegations of forced disappearances on this border are investigated fully and brought to a conclusion.

"These personnel are currently at the disposal of the administrative, ministerial and CNDH authorities, while the probable responsibility of our personnel is determined," said the Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico, Vidal Francisco Soberón Sanz (SEMAR)
The Ministry of the Navy accepted the precautionary measures of protection made by the National Human Rights Commission related to the alleged forced disappearance of 36 people in Nuevo Laredo.

In a dated statement, the institution said that the 257 elements were operating in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. The personnel of Semar were highlighted in the Operating Bases of Nuevo Laredo, Nuevo Laredo Norte and Colombia.

The PGR has practiced around 150 proceedings in each of the files that were initiated by the disappearance of 36 people.
Juan Gerardo Treviño Sanchez, "El Huevo", son of ''Kiko" and current leader of Cartel del Noreste,
thought to be responsible for waves of violence in Tamaulipas and ambushing Marinas and disappearing people in bloody feuds over plaza rights.

The Federal Public Ministry has indications that Juan Gerardo Treviño Sánchez , "El Huevo" , leader of Los Zetas or Northeast Cartel , is behind the disappearances, which are presumed to have committed criminal cells that use clothing similar to that of the Secretariat of the Navy and that are engaged in "cleaning tasks", that is, to disappear people.

On complaints of forced disappearances in Nuevo Laredo, the Semar pointed out that the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) initiated different complaint files and issued to this institution various precautionary measures of protection, which they accepted and carried out.

In addition, he noted that the representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Mexico, addressed the Admiral Secretary of the Navy, who noted that  he has several documented cases of possible violations of human rights.

Likewise, Semar commented that on May 11 and 26, 2018, it informed the CNDH of the acceptance of the precautionary measures ordered.

"Proceeding to instruct the naval personnel assigned to the First Naval Region and the Special Operations Unit, as well as any other operative unit that develops operations in the state of Tamaulipas, that the precautionary measures must be fully complied with supervised strict compliance through the Naval Commands, who periodically report the timely execution of these actions, "he said.

In another point he said that last May, the Internal Control Body of Semar was given a hearing on the facts regarding the complaints that the CNDH initiated.

"And of the accusations made by the Representative in Mexico of the OHCHR, so that, if it is the case, the administrative procedure against the public servants involved will be initiated," he stressed.

"Since the month of last May when these facts came to light, which would constitute  crimes, the General Prosecutor of Military Justice within the scope of its powers initiated the respective process" , he added.

At the same time, he informed the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (PGR) of the willingness of the unit to collaborate in the integration of the investigations carried out in relation to the disappearances.

"For the practice of various procedures, the entry into the different Bases of Operations established in Nuevo Laredo was authorized, to personnel of the PGR and the CNDH, who were accompanied by relatives of presumed disappeared persons," he reiterated.

He noted that the unit continues with training in Human Rights; During the present year, different courses and workshops have been given to more than 11 thousand elements of the Mexican Navy.

  1. Fuckers in the U.S. claim Mexican narcos "snitch" just becaude they are pussies.
The real reason Mexican Narcos snitch is because of shit like this that Mexican Armed forces torture and disappear not just narcos but their ENTIRE families if narcos do not cooperate with them. All this to appease Americans in the "war on drugs". Learn something everyone!

    1. yes, and good morning to you as well. It's been a long time for the families that had disappeared relatives, get some sort of relief. They suspected or knew, that the Marinas were culpable, but never allowed to come onto their base. Now, they might get some answers, whether stolen uniform or directly working for a drug cartel. Innocent until proven guilty in the states, let's get some more information here before we make judgements please.

    2. Bravo Marines! Put a bullet in everyone of them gangsters. Let God sort out the culpable at the pearly gates. Obviously, they are making an impact. Otherwise, the whiners would not be whining. Keep knocking heads. It's hard to bribe your way back out of the morgue like it is from jail.

    3. @10:53

The Narcos have absolutely no qualms about killing entire families and torturing innocents. Yes, they are pussies, strong against the weak and weak against the strong.

I’m not on board with killing their families if they are innocents (if their relatives are innocents) but the narcos definitely deserve to taste their own medicine.

Unfortunately we have collaborationists like yourself who defend those pieces of garbage. They would kidnap your daughter, rape her and dissolve her in acid just for fun, they did it many times to many people. If they experience the worst torture on themselves i’m more than satisfied.

    7. Fuck all of you!!!
What is so wrong with drugs hence drug dealers if this is what half the fuckin country of the U.S. CRAVE???
All of you claim narcos AND their entire families deserve to die because of their business yet thus country inhales more than half of ALL the drugs sold worldwide!!!

    8. The Marinas need more funding for bullets and wages. They are the only ones who have had any effect on the cartels. If the cartel family members benefit from family members who work for them, they get what is coming to them. Perhaps funding for more helicopters with miniguns.

    9. The drug dealers are the one ruining the country of Mexico... stop blaming the US... Mexico uses drugs but has to pay in pesos.... the US dollar is worth more so the drugs are pushed north... if Mexican drug dealers could make the same money selling dope in Mexico the drugs would never cross the border...
stop being a drama queen 1054.... fuck all of you!!!! Lol drug dealers do play the game, so deserving to die is part of the sport and it always will be...

    10. 8:40 not about drug dealers only but the fact that big time drug user U.S.A. is in favor of dealers families to be tortured and suffer also because this country cannot control their immense appetite for consuming drugs!

      Delete
    11. 8:40 there are no "if's" in drug dealers. Drug dealers make money in the U.S. but the U.S. makes no real effort to stop consumption. Fact!

      Delete
    12. No real effort?? Rehabs, drug court, therapy, de tox, methadone clinics, build a wall, dea, Kiki camarena, just say no, dare programs drug awareness resistance education...
      Dam I’m getting tired...
Oh and the war on drugs with jail time are all efforts to control consumption...
Narcos know it’s no game and the consequences when they sign up...Unfortunately sons pay for the sins of their fathers...

    13. @5:51 who’s talking about their families? Not me. You are the one who defends those pieces of garbage, i’m one of those who fight them. Unlike yourself.

  3. Anybody know about whats happening in Miguel Aleman and Nueva Ciudad Guerrero Tamaulipas? It is is said CDG has entered to make a clean up

    1. Miguel Aleman and CD guerrero has always been CDG turf. It is the CDN that is trying to take the plaza from them

    2. Cdn vs cdg .... cdn has been taking territory from cdg for a while, now that most of their main bosses are gone and cdg sent people in last week to take it over again but they got laid out as you can see on other blogs

    3. CDN has been able to enter into MIguel Aleman and causing primito to panic, having to flee to the south. Remember the the convoy post well 3 of those trucks got shot up and a few hitman got killed against CDN at lake falcon.

Like i mention before the mayor of CD Mier got kidnapped by CDN earlier this year. There is a military post in CD Mier, alot of locals believe the military is corrupt.

  4. Its well known that CDN masquerade and patrol in cloned trucks and uniform.but i wouldn't disbelieve that the Marinos disappear CDN sicarios and anyone they think are connected,CDN backed a protest denouncing kidnaps held by families of the affected, these are some of the reasons why the hatred is personal and bitter between them

    1. Me too. word on the street CNDH is on cartel payroll in tamps.
More accurate is military or state police being involved in disappearances, same everywhere in mx

    2. Chivis, I agree that they probably are better than most of Mexico's LE, but if Marina's weren't dirty, they would eradicate way more than they do. I believe they will kidnapped and torture family and friends to gain Intel on a high value target. All militaries use these practices, especially if not on native soil, but Mex. Gov. Has given the blessing (got paid). The loads are still coming up..

    3. Im from California but i have a cousin in the marina stationed in tamaulipas and he esa trained in Misisipi or louisiana by navy seals for 2 weeks, but the last time i se en him, he hardley talked what he does, he only said that over there was real gunfights cause he never had one when stationed in manzanillo colima

    4. Me too, I back the Marina's, Narcos don't be cry babies, when they kill your partners in crime.

    5. Rojo...of course any agency in the world will have corruption but Marina's are very respected and well trained. there are only 45k in all of mexico, sea, land, jungle urban and rural areas. they cover it all. any agent of any US agency will tell you it is the only agency they trust and they work side by side.

don't drink the CDN kool aid. they made the clones and did dirty deeds, paid of human rights in tamps and forced some families to protest. why? because they want the marina compromised, because they are the best

      Delete
    6. So chivis your telling us they didnt help el Chapo for so many years that the military is innocent of corruption really

      Delete
    7. Please get a grip. No agency is free from corruption but Marinas are the most honorable and were side by side with U.S. hunting for and bringing Chapo down..

  8. I lived with the Marines for 5 years. They are hard men doing a hard job do not believe everything you read the humanos derechos in several border cities have long been puppets for the cartels z and cdg alike. When the marines press them hard the cartels use propaganda clones and pay protestors to distort the truth

  9. This is disappointing as I thought the Mexican navy and marines were good guys.

    1. Exactly, just like the torture, like the clown at 10:53 AM who doesn’t like his poor little narcos being tortured when they have done everything and anything.

Against the narcos, everything goes. You can’t fight vicious and coward beasts as if they were human beings. A coward snake needs to be stepped upon until there is nothing left to step on.

    2. Just like those pendejos on the internet crying for derechos humanos when you dress these subhuman lacras like the putitas they actually are. 😂😂😂

There is no “too much pain” and degradation that can be inflicted to narcos. Their braindead cheerleaders should get over it and think about all the families and innocent lives they have ruined.

You know what? Do you want to be treated like a human being? You behave like one? Do you act like a coward snake in the grass? Expect to be treated like one and don’t cry when we oblige you to dress like a puta and we give you a nice measure of the pain you have given to many.

Where’s all your toughness when you are there, crying like a bitch, dressed like a bitch, forced to blow one of your comrades like a bitch, eh, you little shit?

See, dear 10:05, both the narcos and their disgusting cheerleaders are the embodiment of ridiculousness and cowardliness.
