Ol time boss Rolando "El Roly" López Salinas body dumped in San Pedro N.L.

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat

Ministerial authorities of Nuevo Leon revealed that the man found executed and bagged, at 3AM Monday morning in San Pedro, is criminal leader of the "Vieja Guardia” originally from Ribereña Zone of Tamaulipas.

It is confirmed it is Rolando López Salinas, alias "El Roly", between 65 and 70 years old, 15  days after he was kidnapped  in front of a convenience store on the Avenida San Agustín, in upscale San Pedro, Monterrey.  It it was reported that criminals who were in three vehicles intercepted him, forced him into one of the three vehicles and drove off, also taking his vehicle.  There were several cameras at the kidnapping site, but authorities have yet to release footage or information.

The remains were identified by relatives at the University Hospital of Monterrey.

In the 90s, López Salinas had survived two previous bullet attacks in Tamaulipas.  He is known as an "old boss" in the border city of Miguel Aleman; an “independent trafficker”, who was an important figure in trafficking in the 90s.

The victim, was discovered bagged and with a warning narco message, in a Colonia Fuentes del Valle, San Pedro, Nuevo León parking lot. The message  related the crime to the dispute between two groups of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel over the control of San Pedro.

"El Roly" was indicated in the message as an accomplice of Héctor Huerta Ríos, "El HH" or "La Burra", and Jorge Barrera Lozano, "El Izquierdo", presumed leaders of the Beltrán Leyva.

The abduction and execution, according to informants, would have been ordered by the group led by Rodolfo Villarreal Hernández, aka “"El Gato".

It was confirmed that there were signs of torture and bullet wounds.

The body was discovered on Monte Palatino Street, a few meters before its intersection with Morones Prieto Avenue, behind San Pedro Fire Station.

  2. How long has it been since an actual boss (plaza, region, etc) was executed and displayed like this? Maybe when los fresas/Rojos killed el Escorpion in Madero back in 2015?

    7. Yes Chivis El Roly was big in the underworld. Not to compare both status. Just that Taliban leader was hunted down and taken care of in a special way.

    8. I saw that video and it looked like at first he accepted the beheading but the executionar was cuting from above his neck and wasnt quick so thats why i think he jumped. The other sicarios were scared to hold him down that they got yelled at by the big fat guy doing the cutting.

    9. What message do you think hitman send when they have the body displayed like this?
Couldn’t they just throw him in acid ?

    10. Chivis: very true Roly seems to have been one of those bosses who kept low-key and just financed shipments. Plus, to make it to 65-70 in the narco world is almost unheard of.

"andar de caliente" is like getting your nose where you shouldn't.
Old time politicians of Nuevo León State don't want anybody airing their dirty linen, Carlos Salinas de Gortari "El Chamuco Mayor" is one of them, his brother raul is another.

  12. Senor Havelka tying up loose ends for his buddies. El Senor de los Trailers is about to be released and one of the conditions to get back in the game was to have El Roly whacked. It was Roly who stole a big shipment of coke coming from Colombians then 100kilos of chiva from Guerrero that was SDLT merch. One thing lead to another and governers, congressmen, feds, army etc started to not receive payments and well you know how these things go. Lead to the down fall of el senor de los trailas. Look like Golfos go to him first and CDN lost a powerful potential ally.

People wonder why many of these cartel members don't 'retire' well here is your answer. Many probably want to retire but their enemies don't care. They'll still come after them. Stay in the cartel at least they have protection.
