GTO: CJNG and Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel Pemex pipeline war reaches 671 executions in 7 months

Chivis Martinez Borderland Beat from Vanguardia

"Triangle of Guanajuato" is formed by joining the Celaya-Salamanca-Irapuato-León corridor, which extends to Los Apaseos, adjacent to Querétaro, through which run  the Pipelines of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).

Translated for Borderland Beat by "Cruz"

The Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel and Jalisco New Generation Cartel dispute over the area; this dispute has resulted in,  from January to August more than 671 people have been executed in 6 townships

The refinery "Antonio M. Amor" in Salamanca, Guanajuato, is stuck in the crossfire.

2 criminal entities fight over control of the company, as well as the 5 poly ducts that supply gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and gas to the regions of Jalisco, Aguascalientes, Michoacan, and Queretaro-San Luis Potosi.

From January to August 660 were executed in Salamanca and the 5 towns that the ducts pass through. In the entire state of Guanajuato, from January to August of this year, 1,671 homicides have been reported, 244 of them just last month.

In fact, in the last year, in Salamanca, a dozen police commanders and operational staff of the refinery have been executed, amongst them an ex-military that was Chief of Physical Security for Pemex, 2 superintendents, 2 flow controllers, and an engineer last Thursday.

Working in that area is the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel (linked to the Gulf Cartel) and Jalisco New Generation Cartel.

A source from Military Region 12 with headquarters in Irapuato revealed that the superintendents of the refinery are extorted and threatened for the control in the flow of hydrocarbons.

In a meeting with federal and state authorities, personnel from Pemex urged them for security for the personnel that works at the refinery and the security agents in charge of watching over the ducts, whose names have in fact been placed on the so-called "narcomantas".

Guanajuato is the most violent entity, homicide is up 140%

Why is it important?

Guanajuato is the 6th entity that contributes to the PIB(gross domestic product), the increase of violence in the area will directly affect the economic growth of the country.

The general view: At this rate, on a nationwide scale the year 2018 will break 2017´s record, the most violent year in modern Mexico. In the first 8 months, there was a 17% increase in homicides reported.

The numbers do all the talking: The first 8 months of 2017 697 homicides were reported in Guanajuato, for the period of time but in 2018 there is notice of 1,671 homicides a 140% increase.

What is the deal? The conflict for control of the area(the triangle of Guanajuato) between the Santa Rosa Lima Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel is the cause of the increase in violence. A zone that has several Pemex ducts which are pillaged.

Guanajuato is an entity with a high level of manufacture, especially automobile, located there are GM, Mazda, and Honda. The increase in violence could have repercussions for foreign investments.

What they are saying: For every 100,000 inhabitants, in Guanajuato 58.7registered annualized rate, according to Valle-Jones, the 7th highest number in the country. Little by little the zone is being transformed into a cluster of homicides.

  1. I knew Salamanca had CDG people pero no para guerra ni grupo de apoyo. So what's the deal with some sites posting CDG is providing support to El Marro?

    1. I'm sure the Chapo Jr's are supporting him too. Mencho kidnapped them. I'm sure Mencho's men had a little fun with them. They want him gone. Mayo Zambada is probably giving support as well. Mencho is a threat to everyone.

    1. That's what they said 6 mos ago, he'd be dead in a month. He's got CDS and some of the Golfos backing him. He and Cholo are invaluable to CDS in these areas. Now they have an in on Fuel theft, and street sales in Guadalajara, not to mention Guanajuato, and Michoacan. CDS is expanding. That's how they stay relavent. They've always been able to adjust, and reorganize. The Zetas couldn't adapt, Templarios, CAF, even Juarez. The Golfos are always adapting too. You hear of the demise of CDS, and CDG, but the big wheels keep turning, and growing. Jalisco came along at a perfect time...CDS was reorganizing after losing big cats. Nachos wing got absorped by CJNG, and BLO. They made a ton off dough from flooding the European and Australian Markets with Meth. All set up by Nacho (CDS). They grew mightily and rapidly. But IMO they are too thin...Meth seems to be the target for LE all over. CDS and Golfos are catching up on the meth market. CDS is very focused on Coca and Opium cultivation in South America. The govs are all gonna crack down on the chemicals for Meth and Fent, X etc. The costs will skyrocket. Meanwhile The old dogs are gonna keep supplying the world with Coke and Heroin....that's what real druggies want anyway. Mencho done before Chapos trial ends .....just my guess

    2. 9:47 nacho did not make the Valencia and he sure as hell didn't get the connections for cjng. Your a cds groupie so it's understandable that you say those opinions.. only tine will tell who AMLO favors. That's going to be the winner

    4. Seriously though...heroin and cocaine is what really sells and what people want. I shot dope for 10 years and I cant stand fent. You get dog shit sicker way quicker...and the high doesnt last. Whoever focuses on those 2 drugs will be the most successful.

    5. 10:39....CDS groupie?? Jajaja ..and if you don't think Nacho didn't set up CJNG with the Meth, then you're the fool. Valencia's been around a long time, but CJNG made their money in Meth....AFTER Nacho showed them...

    2. More proof how the media lied about cjng being the wealthiest cartel in mexico. Killing over rights to steal and tap into petroleum lines is not what wealthy men do. Cholo took the Guadalajara plaza and you have people still cjng is taking over mexico lol how you cant be expanding while losing the most important plaza in western mexico.

    3. 5:16 oil is better than selling drugs, only a few use drugs but everybody with a car needs gas. Why you think cds is backing marro? Not just because mencho invaded his territory but he wants a cut of what marro is making. Liquid gold

  8. Guanjuato is where my mom's from. My cousin is a Doctor who lives in GTO. He open up a clinic in his town and than he decided he open up a gas station. He didn't know that someone was going to hate on him & force him to sell his gas station. In less than a year he sold his gas station. My cousin doesn't need the money but sad that hard working Mexicans can not thrive & be well off financially

  10. i don't know why BB hasn't done a article on Havelka. his pedigree line is loooooong. i see his fingers in a lot of cookie jar. he started out as the bulldog for american anti-leftist activities all over mex and central america.... his handlers at the CIA whipped up a good killing machine. efficient. no drinking, no smoking, no women, no showing off, no vices, no lujos, nada. the real king-maker who first protected and enforced for Nepocumeno.... to us he's a ghost but now a days nobody thinks the old weathered poor looking man at the bus stop is running things behind the curtain in certain places.

anyways the reason mencho hasn't been able to take the triangle is because he's barking up the wrong tree. all the dinosaurs in the army and certain "high societies" are pissed. the only narco who has had the balls to try and take the triangle without paying to the militares. plus he has the audacity to go after Queretaro. the last bastion of old school where military/police are the sole enforces and the DTOs pay taxes era

  16. I would think the amount of money loss in fuel theft would be way more than paying for a private security force to protect the plant and or pipeline in the area. It seems that the company is content the $$$ loss and so they won't have to get involved in the conflict. To me that is nuckin futs.

  17. Mexico was is and will always be a joke. The problem Mexico is going thru consists of two things greed and corruption. This country has the capability of being a first world country but because of the "si no tranzas no avanzas" mentality it will always be the shit hole it is. They would have to emulate the judiciary system of the U.S and get rid of this "amparo" which more than likely was established by the corrupt thinking process of criminal justices. In my humble opinion.
