11 found murdered in Juarez, likely in revenge for the killing of "El Genio"

Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat from Reforma and Diario

The 11 people found dead on Friday in a safe house in Ciudad Juarez

According to the report of the Chihuahua Public Prosecutor's Office , an armed commando arrived at the address located on Calle Oasis de Egipto in colonia Praderas del Oasis,  Ciudad Juarez and executed eleven people who were inside.

"The perpetrators strangled them, there was no use of firearms," State Attorney General Cesar Augusto Peniche told REFORMA.  All 11 were bound and had been tortured.  The three women were found without underwear.

“This could be in the context of the conflict between La Línea and Los Aztecas," Peniche added.

The killings occurred a day after the murder of Aztecas leader, Juan Arturo Padilla Juarez aka  “El Genio” was reported.  Genio was killed in prison by members of La Linea.  The prison fight between Los Aztecas and La Linea lasted for 5 minutes.

"The proceedings of the State Investigation Agency are focused at this moment on determining the causes of the aggression, the identity of those who died in the place and establishing if they belong to a criminal cell."

The city is in on alert for possible additional attacks, said the mayor.

In the month of July Juárez closed with 777 murders.

Identifies son by WhatsApp photos

"It's my son!," shouted a woman who approached the house where the 11 bodies were located in. The family of another person killed,  showed her photos that circulated in WhatsApp groups of inside the house.  She recognized the body of her son by his clothing.

When recognizing the clothes, she began to scream and cry while her friends tried to console her the police went to her,  to see what was happening. She attempted to gain information but was told by police they would have to positively have to identify him first.

    1. You're making a lot of assumptions here if saying cartels don't kill innocents as well if not in larger numbers than cartel associates.

    2. @ 2:13

Exactly. The cartels kill plenty of innocents, sometimes just for the pure hell of it. They are subhumans and human rights should not be applied to them.

    3. 10:57 funny how "sub-humans" decide who gets their human rights respected or not, from about 6 million Jews that got their final solution applied, to the Russian nazi collaborators or opponents killed by Stalin, some by hunger, to Alvaro Uribe Velez' "Falsos Positivos", or these Mexicans and their killers or Rodrigo "El Loco" Duterte, and the forces of decency can't think of a better solution because they are too busy justifying the murdering here and there everywhere...

  9. Strangulation was the preferred method of execution by Sicilian and Italian gangsters. No blood, no noise. Cold-blooded killings, watching the light go out of the eyes and hearing the last gasping breaths.

    3. 11:28-Everybody is amateur in execution compared to USA. Companies like Raytheon earn $1 million per assassination with every missile (13,501 missiles used in Iraq and Syria, 1,071 missiles in Afghanistan, more than 1,350 in Libya, Yemen, Somalia, and Darfur).
In addition to "war on terror" the USA also has "war on drugs" with Plan Columbia, Merida Initiative and a coming war on heroina that USA allowed corporate narcos like Purdue Pharma to create by selling more than $50 billion USD of synthetic herioina for 20 years.
If you do not want to sell heroina to the addicts just buy the stocks of Bell Helicopter and Cessna because your politicians will spend billions USD to "help" us destroy amapola cultivation in our sierra for the next 20 years or more.

    4. James...i am not approving your comment at this time. I could not find a secondary report. so I think we can do without. although there was a small portion of blood in one of the fotos it has not been revealed the source. The autopsies revealed strangulation in all 11 and no rapes which was first reported.... chivis

  10. Many admiring narco groupies in blogs like this write flattering comments about the bravery, the cunning and the highly specialized murder training that groups such as La Linea and the Aztecas have. The truth is that these sicarios are murdering thugs who are fearless because they know that their victims are unarmed and unsuspecting. In Mexico, only cops, soldiers and narcos can possess and carry weapons openly. It is extremely difficult for a normal person to obtain a firearm, and if the cops catch that person with a firearm, he or she will be sent to prison for years. So, while the Mexican constitution, like the U.S. constitution, guarantees a person the right to own firearms for self defense, in practice, the government and its narco partners prefer an unarmed Mexican population.

So, when you read reports like this one about the massacre of 11 people and the rape, torture and strangulation of three women, just remember that the sicarios fully expected their victims to have no weapons to defend themselves with. And, the sicarios know that they will most likely not be prosecuted for this massacre, since Mexican police and prosecutors are generally incompetent. These narco thugs are not brave, cunning or trained. They are cowards.

    1. Thats what i always say they go for the lower level workers who are oblivious or not prepared to face armed hitmen, and they take innocent people along with them. These cowards rarely will face another group of hitmen just pass mantas to each other. Its pathetic the way these criminal groups operate just causing terror in peaceful areas.
