Michoacan: Barrio Azteca Founder-Capo, 'El Tablas' arrested, U.S. top ten most wanted

The Army and the Attorney General of the Republic detained Eduardo Ravelo Rodríguez "El Tablas" in Uruapan, Michoacán, one of the 10 most wanted by the FBI and leader of the criminal organization "Barrio Azteca", linked to the Juarez Cartel .

The alleged drug trafficker was apprehended along with Juan Arturo Padilla Juárez "El Genio" or "El Vaquero", Martín Alonso Bustos Rodríguez and Raúl Alberto Mendoza Coronado, considered as members of the closest circle of "El Tablas".

At the time of the arrests, executed during a search with judicial authorization, the suspects were in possession of small arms, chargers, and methamphetamine, which were seized, according to information from the PGR.

Ravelo Rodríguez was on the list of the 10 most wanted by the FBI, who offered a reward of up to $100,000 for information to find his whereabouts, he is accused of being  responsible for the planning and killing of three Americans in 2010 in Juárez. 

"El Tablas”, "has a provisional arrest warrant for the purpose of extradition to the United States..

He is considered a high-ranking founding leader of the criminal organization "Barrio Azteca", whose operating area is located in El Paso and Midland-Odesa, Texas, and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

This organization is an ally of La Línea, the execution  arm of the Juarez Cartel, in the dispute against the Sinaloa Cartel, of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, for the control of that border city.

According to the PGR, "El Tablas" coordinated and gave instructions to several groups of people in charge of arms trafficking, drug distribution, surveillance, disappearance of people and those responsible for safe houses.

The PGR noted that Ravelo Rodríguez was placed at the disposal of the judge who ordered his provisional detention for extradition purposes, while his three alleged lieutenants were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry to determine his legal status.

"The detention of these people was carried out in strict adherence to due process, at all times their rights were respected, in addition to the fact that no third parties were affected and no shot was necessary," said the Attorney General's Office.

The subject is accused of having ordered the murder of 3 people linked to the United States Consulate in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua .

The US authorities alledge that  Eduardo El Tablas Ravel  ordered the murder  of  an employee of the US consulate in Ciudad Juárez, Leslie Ann Enríquez Catton, along with her husband Arthur Redfels, and Jorge Alberto Salcido Ceniceros.

Eduardo El Tablas Ravelo  is between 48 and 50 years old, he calls himself Eduardo Acevedo, Eddie Ravelo, Eduardo Simental Ruiz, Eduardo Saenz, Eddie Rabelo, Javier, Antonio Rivas,  Santillán  Payan and Santiago.

The subject has a scar on his face and tattoos on his chest, abdomen and back, although the FBI  suspects that he may have undergone plastic surgery and altered his fingerprints.

  1. He has been around and mentioned since 2010 when BB was first getting started, wow. Very few who end up on a wanted poster end up free or living til old age. I wonder if the US seeks his extradition, that indictment is 10 years old.

  7. Why is there always meth found with high profile arrests? The quantity wasn't mentioned but is it personal use? Surely high ranking leaders of drug cartels don't drive the product themselves? Pretty sure that's grunt work. Or do the authorities plant shit, to ensure charges stick? I wouldn't even blame them, mexican judges release anyone arrested without a body, lime, shovel and a fucking handwritten confession in the trunk of their car!

  14. Aztecas ayudaron a La Linea a ganar cd Juarez de los de Sinaloa mientras estos incluyendo El Viceroy se escondian en otros estados de Mexico y EU. Despues de que les ganaron Juarez no respetan la estructura Azteca y se aguitan los soldados de estos ultimos y se ponen a vender droga solos. La Linea siempre queriendo hacer lo suyo en Juarez traiciona a estos y los empiesa a matar.

  24. en juarez andan peleando aztecas del ravelo y lineas del 300 que se supone tambien es azteca pero cuando lo agarraron y lo soltaron hace poco, empezo a decir que lo habian traicionado los aztecas de ravelo y empezo la matazon. se me hace raro que lo hayan agarrado en michoacan, debio haber andado buscando apoyo de los jaliscos porque los de la linea ya los traian gacho. y los de la linea en chihuahua en su gran mayoria son chihuahuenses, no digan mamadas que ni saben. los primeros si eran originarios de sinaloa como por ejemplo el chalo pero ya todos ellos ya ni estan, ahora el nuevo cartel de juarez trae en su mayoria gente de chihuahua.

  31. Word on the street in juarez, tablas ran to his would be connect for reinforcements and refuge after linea whacked his people. This all has to do with meth trade. Linea has banned it. There is no deal with cjng.the juarez cartel, aint the one of old.carrillo fuentes family dnt run the show like most people like to think.
