Boss of Cartel del Tigre arrested in Chihuahua

Elements of the State Commission for Security and the Federal Police detained one Jesus Manuel B.L, alias El Chuma, alleged new boss of the Cartel del Tigre. The Attorney General of the State informed that, after the capture of Julio Escarcega, El Chuma had assumed command of this criminal group.

Together with El Chuma, were arrested another two persons called Espiridion C.P, alias El Zorry and Jose Luis R.P nicknamed El 77, who, added the functionary, were known members of the criminal cell that operates in the region, and who work for Escar Gamboa Sosa, alias El Once.

The arrest was made in the municipal capital of Nonoava, where the troops carried out patrols, when they noticed the presence of three armed men. "The alleged criminals fled when they noticed the Police presence, but after a chase, the officers managed to thwart their escape attempt, and arrested the three armed men."




They confiscated an AK-47, a 9mm Uzi sub machine gun, a 2008 Nissan Sentra and a Rabon truck. In addition, more than two kilos of marijuana and 6000 litres of fuel were recovered.

After the arrest, the State Security Commissioner, Oscar Alberto Aparicio Avendano, indicated that the corporation will continue with the strengthening of the integral beefing up of forces in the mountainous region of the state, to take organized crime head on.

The detainees and all the confiscated items remained at the disposal of the PGE, which will carry out the subsequent investigations.

In October of 2017, elements of the State Security Commission captured Julio Escarcega, El Tigre in Cuauhtemoc, the alleged leader of the so called Cartel del Tigre. Five other members were arrested with him.

    1. They broke off originally because Cuatemoch section began selling Meth which is something La Linea forbids. Not because of moral issues but because Linea claims meth kills consumers within three years causing profits to fall in the long run.

    2. The real reason isn't the death toll. It's the fact that La línea or Juarez does not have a real chemical connection to produce it at the high rate and quality that Sinaloa and Jalisco can. And the reason is geological. They don't have sea ports like Sinaloa. Jalisco. Michoacán. Because most of the chemicals come from Asia or probably more specifically China. And with outlawing meth in the cartel it's easier to find the enemy. Find the meth. Find the enemy. Also CDS produces kilos of meth for cheap. So they offer it to small leaders or smaller cells for them to sell with good profit margins and sometimes the temptation is too much hence Cartel del Tigre.

    1. The front line between the two is fluid, with neither one side or the other making any big gains. When one side looses a leader, the other side push normally leading to an ambush of the aggressor.
      Tigre have taken some big hits and they dont have strength in depth, they also have no conscience when it comes to machine gunning non combatants. They are dangerous, make no mistakes about that, but are localized and present no expansion threat at this time to CDS.
      La Linea are protecting their borders, and I dont see them being pushed back by CDS any time soon.
      They are so entrenched in Juarez, it would take a miracle to get them out of that plaza.

    3. 2:11 more than likely Cartel del Tigre was before this capture trying to form as an independent cartel but they did get plenty of support from CDS to try and take out La Linea and or survive. This is why La Linea sent troops to Sonora recently and killed some guy aka el M100 to prevent his people from helping Cartel de Tigre. Looks like this cartel is all but lost to La Linea with that hit and now this capture as well as their territory!

    5. Otiz. La Linea survived the government and CDS attack because of the Aztecas. La Linea memebers withdrew to a certain extent to El Paso and to other parts of Chihuahua while the Aztecas had nowhere to run to but continue to fight CDS until La Linea regruped and fought off CDS once again. This was written in an Insight crime article about three years ago. Aztecas are La Lineas main soldiers and they are in it to the death literally.
